Fig. 3 zeigt ein Kuppelstück 24 im Längsschnitt.
Quick-release pipe coupling with cover for negative pressure networks
The present invention relates to a quick-release pipe coupling with a cover for negative pressure networks.
In many modern companies, especially in the chemical industry, the demand for a high degree of freedom from dust is made today. In order to meet such a requirement, all the rooms in question are often connected to a vacuum pipe network. For this purpose, at least one connection end is provided in every space to be kept dust-free from the vacuum pipe network, which connection end can be used to connect a suction line and in particular flexible suction hoses.
Extraction lines that lead to machines and devices can be laid permanently in the room and a movable end can be coupled to the pipe connection end. It is most expedient to use attachable, movable suction hoses.
So that the negative pressure in the negative pressure pipe network does not drop unnecessarily, each pipe connection end must be lockable for the period of non-use.
The aim of the present invention is to create an easily detachable quick-release pipe coupling with a cover for negative pressure networks for the quick and tight connection of suction lines in a few simple steps, the device being designed in such a way that the suction line is automatically connected by coupling to the pipe connection end the negative pressure is connected and when a connected suction line is removed, the relevant connection end of the negative pressure pipe network is automatically closed tightly.
The quick pipe coupling according to the invention comprises first parts which are arranged on the pipe connection end and at least one separate second part which can be coupled to the pipe connection end and to which the connection end of a suction line and in particular a suction hose can be attached.
The quick-release pipe coupling according to the invention is characterized in that the connection end of the vacuum pipe network and the end of the second part serving as a coupling piece that faces it for coupling are round, fit into each other and one end of them with claws and the other with longitudinal and transverse grooves of a bayonet catch for joining are formed by the pipe connection end and coupling piece, with a cover for the pipe connection end being pivotably supported on this and a spring is provided which is clamped between the movable cover and the pipe connection end or a part arranged on this and strives to move the cover into its closed position the pipe connection opening.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing and is described below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
Fig. 1 in elevation and partially in section along line I-I in Fig. 2 in full lines the quick pipe coupling at one pipe connection end and in dash-dotted lines the cover in the open position and the coupling piece pushed onto the pipe connection end,
2 shows the pipe connection end with the quick coupling with the cover open and in elevation
Fig. 3 in elevation and in section the coupling piece with the indicated end of a suction hose.
In FIG. 1, the connection end 10 of a vacuum pipe network 11 is visible in section and in FIG. 2 in view with the quick-release pipe coupling. Two support brackets 12, 13, which are used to carry a piece 14, are attached to the pipe connection end 10. Piece 14 is shown in section in Figure 1 and is in the shape of an inverted open shell. It serves to accommodate a spring 15 and to support a cylindrical pin 16 on which the spring 15 is arranged.
On the pin 16, a cover 17 with its bearing end 18 is also pivotably mounted. The end 18 of the cover 17 is designed in such a way that it engages the interior 19 of the piece 14 and can thereby experience a pivoting of the cover by at least 900.
The inside of the cover 17 has a sealing cap 20 which is fastened to the cover by means of a screw 21. When the connection end 10 of the vacuum pipe network 11 is closed by the cover 17, the sealing cap comes to rest with its flexible outer circumference against the inner edge 22 of the opening 23 of the pipe connection end 10.
The spring 15, which is attached with one end to the fixed bearing piece 14 and the other end to the pivotable cover, is additionally tensioned when the cover is opened and, when the cover 17 is released, presses it towards the opening 23. The negative pressure The closing is supported by the spring 15 at the connection end of the pipe network.
Fig. 3 shows a coupling piece 24 in longitudinal section.
The coupling piece is designed as a round pipe and is fastened to the end of a suction hose 26 by means of a pipe clamp 25.
The end of the coupling piece 24 intended for coupling to the pipe connection end 10 is provided with a head 27 with a larger outside and inside diameter than the remaining main part of the same, so that the head can be pushed over the pipe connection end 10. The head has at its free end inside at two diametrically opposite points a longitudinal groove 28 and adjoining each a conically tapered transverse groove 29. The grooves serve to accommodate two claws which are arranged on the connection end 10 of the pipe network 11 on the outside and of which in Fig. 1, a claw 30 is illustrated according to position and training.
The coupling piece 24 has a shoulder 31 between the head and the main part, which is a flange-like circular ring. A sealing ring 32 can be arranged in the interior of the head against the shoulder 31.
The claws and grooves on the pipe connection end or the coupling piece form a bayonet lock for these two parts with which they can be firmly attached to one another. When coupling, the coupling piece with the longitudinal grooves 28 is pushed over the claws 30 of the pipe connection end and then rotated clockwise. The conically narrowed transverse grooves 29 then slide over the claws until they are clamped between the sealing ring and the projections 33, 34. The sealing ring can be made of rubber and, as such, facilitates a soft clamping. By seating the pipe connection 10 with its end face around the opening 23 against the sealing ring, the connection of the coupling piece to the pipe connection end becomes completely tight.
Instead of the pipe connection end, the claws can also sit on the coupling piece and the grooves for it on the pipe connection end. The claws can also sit inside instead of outside and the grooves on the outside of the part that engages over the other part. Possibly. appropriate options for arranging the sealing ring must then be provided.
The pipe section 11 can also be tapered in front of the connection end 10 so that it forms a type of bottle neck. In this case, if the inner diameter of the pipes of the vacuum pipe network is otherwise large, the quick pipe coupling and in particular the coupling piece can be kept smaller than it would otherwise have to be.
With the quick coupling described, the cover is lifted off the pipe connection end with one hand against the pressure of the spring 15, the coupling piece is pushed onto the pipe connection end 10 with the other hand and then turned clockwise until it is clamped.
To release the coupling, the cover, which rests against the opening of the pipe connection end, is lifted from the opening against the pressure of the spring 15, then the coupling piece is turned counterclockwise and pulled off the pipe connection end. After releasing the cover, it automatically closes the opening 23 of the pipe connection end airtight under the pressure of the spring.
The pipes of the vacuum pipe network are usually made of wrought iron. The closure cap and the coupling piece are expediently manufactured from aluminum injection molding. The sealing ring and sealing cap can be made of rubber.
