Solche Verlagerun gen bzw.
Microphone for musical instruments The invention relates to a microphone for Musikin instruments that have adjacent tone generator in a row. Musical instruments of this type are, for example, the cymbal, the clavichord, the cem balo, the harp, the zither, the accordion, the vibra phon, the xylophone and the piano. Among the instruments of this type are those that have lost their importance because they develop insufficient volume and / or because their tonal character (e.g. the fullness of the tone) does not meet today's requirements.
It is known to use microphones for these reasons. For example, the accordion has several crystal microphones distributed over the length of the disks on its outside. Crystal microphones have already been arranged in the bass section (accompanying page), distributed over its length inside the bellows. With these microphones, an amplifier and a loudspeaker, you could increase the volume, but not improve the richness of the sound. The crystal microphones were pressure receivers, and the tendency towards acoustic feedback was accordingly high. There was also a disadvantage in that crystal microphones have a high resistance.
The inventive microphone for Musikin instruments that have adjacent tone generator in a row is characterized by a tube which is intended to be arranged along the row of the tone generator on or in the musical instrument, on one side or on two not opposite ge Pages each has at least one longitudinal slot or at least one row of holes distributed over the length of the pipe, lined with sound-absorbing material and provided at one end with an acoustic-electrical transducer.
In the drawing, as an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, a microphone is shown which is suitable, for example, for use on an accordion. FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of this microphone, FIG. 2 shows part of an axial section through the microphone according to FIG. 1.
The microphone shown has a tube 1, which on the front side in Figure 1 has a number of longitudinal slots 11, in the place of which a plurality of holes distributed over the length of the tube can be present. The pipe is inside with a sound absorbing material, e.g. B. a gauze made of textile material, plastic or wire and / or a fabric insert from dressed. This lining also extends over the slots 11. One end of the pipe 1 is connected to an acoustic-electrical converter which is arranged in a housing 2. The other end of the tube can be open or closed.
The acoustic-electrical converter is a submersible coil system whose sound inlet opening is connected to the pipe 1 and verses hen with damping material. The side of the transducer facing away from the sound inlet opening can be closed or can be connected to the external sound field directly or via acoustic impedances. The transducer can also be another type of transducer, for example a magnetic microphone. To attach the microphone to the accordion, two holders 3 made of soft rubber or a material with similar properties are used.
The microphone according to FIGS. 1 and 2 can be arranged on the Dis edge part of the accordion so that the tube 1 is located directly or approximately in front of the sound outlet openings. The slots 11 can be directed towards these openings or more or less facing away from these openings, so that they do not or as little as possible absorb the noise of the air flowing through the sound outlet openings.
The pipe 1 acts as a collector for the sound coming from different sound outlet openings and at various points through the slots 11 in the pipe sound. The sound-absorbing lining of the pipe suppresses standing waves in the pipe. In addition, at the points where it covers the slits, this lining acts as a wind protection to suppress the wind noise that is caused by the air blown out of the sound outlet openings.
Although the sound of the accordion strikes at right angles to the pipe 1, that is to say in the direction in which a shotgun microphone is insensitive, the microphone has full sensitivity to this sound. This sound occurs essentially only in a limited area of the length of the pipe in the same, namely where the respective Schallaus outlet opening is located behind the pipe. Interference of this sound does not occur in the pipe. In contrast, the microphone acts as a directional microphone for the sound not coming from the accordion.
The microphone is insensitive to sound that is almost perpendicular to the pipe and not coming from the accordion. This applies e.g. B. for the sound coming from the loudspeaker. This meets in an approximately horizontal direction on the approximately vertical tube 1 in the position of use of the accordion. This considerably reduces the tendency towards acoustic feedback. For sound propagating in the direction of the pipe 1, the microphone is sensitive to the phon. This applies e.g. B. for language and song of the accordion player; because its sound reaches the microphone approximately in the direction of the pipe.
In order to enable more direct sound to the microphone through speech and song of the accordion player, the end of the tube 1 facing away from the housing 2 can be provided with a telescopic extension. and / or gooseneck with a language. If the transducer has a rear sound inlet opening, such an approach can also be attached to the end of the housing 2 facing away from the pipe 1. The approach can be lined with sound-absorbing material.
The tube 1 can be electrically conductive, e.g. B. made of metal, and form the antenna of a VHF transmitter that is modulated by the low-frequency current of the converter. The housing 2 can optionally also belong to the antenna, or it can act as a counterweight, and it can also contain at least part of the transmitter. An associated receiver must then be connected to the input of the amplifier. which feeds the speaker or speakers. In this way, the accordion player is spatially independent of the amplifier.
In this context, the tube 1 can also consist of two halves which are mechanically connected to one another by an insulating intermediate piece and which together form a dipole.
The microphone can also be attached inside the bellows, in particular on the clay stick, and several microphones, e.g. B. a microphone inside the bellows and a second on the outside of the accordion can be used.
In the case of a microphone arranged inside the bellows, the measures explained in more detail in patent 452608 are expediently used. The aim is to make the flow resistances for the air to the front and to the rear of the membrane sufficiently equal and / or to distribute the resistance of the various flow paths within the microphone to the rear of the membrane centrally symmetrically over the membrane surface. In this way, axial displacements or wobble vibrations of the membrane, which lead to distortions, are avoided.
Such misalignments or tumbling vibrations occur with previous microphones inside the bellows when the air pressure on the back of the membrane cannot follow the pressure prevailing on the front (on which the sound is superimposed) quickly enough, or when entering or When the air flows into or out of the space adjoining the back of the membrane, different pressures arise at different, in particular at centrally symmetrical points on the membrane.
To avoid this, a central hole in the membrane and / or holes centrally symmetrical to the geometric axis of the membrane in the membrane and / or the surroundings and / or in the housing, for the purpose of pressure equalization, can be provided if the space behind the membrane is centrally symmetrical is.
What was said above about the use and advantages of the microphone described in connection with an accordion also applies mutatis mutandis to other musical instruments that have sound generators in a row next to one another.
