Picker for looms The invention relates to a picker for underlay looms, in particular for Northrop underlay looms.
The known pickers are made of plastic or plastic with fabric inserts. It is now known that the pickers are exposed to high long-term loads and that the material used for this purpose should have a high level of wear resistance. The plastics, whose properties include very high wear resistance, are, however, very hard and all have a Shore hardness of over 90. In practice, it has been shown that pickers made of hard plastic material have a long service life, but there are several disadvantages.
The steel tips on the shuttle loosen or break as a result of the too hard impact of the shuttle on the hard picker, the layers of yarn on the weft bobbin become detached, fall off and get into the fabric or clog the threader in the shuttle. Attempts have already been made to insert stoppers made of a softer material into these pickers made of hard material at the point where the shooter hits. In practice, however, it was found that the plug wore out more quickly.
The invention has set itself the task of designing a flexible, elastic at the point of impact for the shuttle but wear-resistant picker, which is achieved according to the invention in that the picker has a body made of elastic material, which as an impact part for the shooter is a layer of harder wear-resistant material.
In a further embodiment of the subject matter of the invention it is provided that the support holding means, for. B. pins, by means of which it is verbun with the mentioned body that a foot body of the picker has a part over which a picker head is pushed, which is from the support and the elastic part carrying it be that the foot body has a having the second part that touches the back of the elastic part of the picker head that in the foot body of the slot for the impact stick is attached eccentrically.
The picker according to the invention has the advantage that the shuttle is caught softly and knocked off and that the point of impact has a high level of wear resistance. In the case of exchangeable chairs, the web shuttle hits almost silently.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in some exemplary embodiments in the drawing. 1 shows the side view, FIG. 2 shows the front view, and FIG. 3 shows the top view of a picker.
4 shows the top view of a picker with a conical nose and FIG. 5 shows a changeable picker.
In Figures 1, 2 and 4, the picker body 1 is made of a soft elastic material, e.g. Rubber or eVulkollan or the like with a Shore hardness of less than 90. On the picker nose there is a support 2, which is made of a harder material such as the picker body 1, preferably of high molecular weight plastic, such as e.g. <cDurolen or the like with a Shore hardness of over 90.
In FIGS. 1 and 3, the support has a pin 3 projecting backwards. In the example shown, the pen has a border. The pin can also have a conical shape that extends more strongly towards the rear. In Fig. 4 the support 2 has e.g. two pins 3 'on. In Figure 5, a change picker is shown, which is used in colored looms on the lifting box side. A jar in the manner of a picker according to FIGS. 1 to 4 is pushed onto its foot part 5.
The second foot part 5 'touches the rear of the picker part 1. The foot body 4 can consist of hard plastic. The picker nose 2 can be tapered, as shown in FIG. The picker according to FIGS. 1 to 4 can be used for normal shuttle shuttles or also for so-called centerless shuttle shuttles. The support 2 can be permanently or detachably connected to the picker body 1.
