Post insulator for electrical overhead lines Known post insulators for high voltage overhead lines, which are attached to the mast by means of straight or curved metal supports, can only be used up to a limit load given by the metal support. For larger loads, full core insulators are screwed horizontally directly onto the mast. These post insulators can be dimensioned sufficiently strong for all practically required bending loads.
They are cemented into a metal cap 3 in FIG. 1 on the mast side. On the conductor side they either have a groove 5 in which the conductor is BEFE by means of Böglibund or a cemented metal cap 6, which carries a movable clamp 7 for receiving the conductor.
In the post insulator according to the invention, the foot fitting is adapted to a cylindrically curved support surface. Slidable wedges on the cylindrical rounding of the mast can be used for this purpose. With the same fastening screws, two isolators can be screwed to the mast opposite one another.
In the case of a central attachment by a single screw, sufficiently long threaded holes are expediently placed in one or both caps; The two opposing insulators are then screwed onto the common threaded bolt until they are firmly seated on the mast. If two or more fastening screws are provided, this is done, for example, by means of bolts inserted through the mast and nuts screwed on.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained with reference to FIG. 2 of the drawing. Cannot drill holes in the mast - e.g. B. in an already existing concrete mast, the foot cap of the isolator is expediently designed so wide that the fastening screws ben 2 can be attached on both sides of the mast. Depending on the operating voltage, the post insulators must have a minimum flashover distance L.
For other reasons, however, a greater distance between the ladder and the mast may be necessary. Instead of lengthening the insulator beyond its minimum striking distance, it is more advantageous to put the metal cap on the foot through a. Pipe piece 8 to extend. With the improvements described, it is possible to arrange single or multi-strand overhead lines symmetrically on the mast.
