Description
Device for the heat treatment of human or animal body parts with an elastic, watertight th , Heatable pressure bandage The invention relates to a device for the heat treatment of human or animal body parts, with an elastic, waterproof, heatable pressure bandage which contains at least one elastically stretchable electrical resistance element.
The pressure bandage can e.g. be used in physical healing therapy or for slimming and sweating cures and the like.
Heating pads or heating mats have been in use for a long time, but all known designs are insufficiently suitable as Ban dagen that should adapt to the body shape and cling tightly in order to exert an even pressure on the body tissue to be treated in addition to heating. Due to the textiles usually used in heating pads, water-tightness is not achieved despite plastic protective covers. There is a risk of electrical accidents if the heating pad is wet. The heating power, which is usually adjustable in coarse steps, easily leads to overheating.
The invention has for its object to provide a device with an electrically heiz ble, elastic, waterproof pressure bandage.
The device according to the invention is characterized in that the pressure band has a body made of rubber-elastic material, in which at least one elastically stretchable electrical resistance element is tightly enclosed, which resistance element contains at least one meander-shaped electrical conductor.
The device can also contain means to automatically keep the temperature of the resistance element constant at a preselected value.
An exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. In the drawing: FIG. 1 shows a view of a flat pressure bandage and FIG. 2 shows a regulated supply device of the device.
The pressure bandage shown in Fig. 1 has a body 1 made of rubber-elastic material, e.g. made of cold vulcanized rubber. The body 1 can consist, for example, of two plates glued together or vulcanized together, but it can also be formed in one piece. At the ends of the body 1 Klettenverschlüs se 2 are indicated schematically.
In the body 1 or between the two plates of the same, elastically stretchable electrical resistance strips 3 are tightly enclosed, e.g. glued or cast. So that the resistance bands 3 are elastically stretchable in the longitudinal direction, they each contain at least one meander-shaped electrical conductor 4. Each resistance band 3 preferably consists of a fabric, the label material of which is made of elastic yarn, e.g. from "Lycra", while the weft material contains the electrical conductor 4 or consists of it.
This conductor 4 preferably has the form of a highly flexible copper braid, which is wrapped in order to improve the adhesion in the fabric. Such a woven resistance band can have a nominal elongation of up to 160 7.
In order to allow the bandage to stretch in the transverse direction, the Lei ter 4 itself can be made stretchable. Such a stretchable conductor can, for example, consist of a core of rubber-elastic material surrounded by a metal wire mesh or knitted fabric, e.g. Plastic elastomer.
A schematically indicated power supply cable 6 is mechanically relieved and inserted into the body 1 in a watertight manner.
Fig. 2 shows the block diagram of the electronically controlled power supply 7 of the device. The power supply cable 6 is connected in a branch of a Wheats.tone's bridge circuit 8, so that this branch is formed by the resistance bands 3 (FIG. 1). The bridge circuit 8 is fed by an oscillator 9 with a measuring voltage of 2070 Hz. The electrical resistance of the strips 3 represents a measure of the strip temperature. The desired target temperature can be set on a bridge resistor R.
The bridge fault voltage is amplified in a selective 2070 Hz amplifier 10 and fed to a phase discriminator 11. The direct current output signal of the phase discriminator 11 is amplified in a direct current amplifier 12 and fed to an ignition angle control circuit 13 for a thyristor stage 14.
The thyristor stage 14 controls the heating power which is supplied to the resistance bands 3 from a 50 Hz AC voltage network via an isolating transformer 15, the thyristor stage 14 and the power supply cable 6. When the bridge circuit 8 is in equilibrium, the heating power supplied becomes zero. The 50 Hz heating voltage also occurring in the bridge circuit 8 does not affect the control, because the bridge output voltage is passed through the selective amplifier 10, which also eliminates harmonics of the heating voltage.
The described use of the heating strips 3 themselves as temperature sensors has the advantage that the power supply cable 6 only has to contain two conductors, that no separate temperature sensors are required and that the temperature of the resistance strips is actually measured precisely.
precisely the temperature of the resistance bands is measured.
