Device for producing a uniform, predetermined winding tension when winding wires or threads
The invention relates to a device for producing a uniform, predetermined winding tension when winding wires or threads with the aid of a deflecting pulley wrapped by the winding material and braked by an adjustable spring force.
For the production of coils, winding machines are used in a known manner, which pull the wire from a supply reel and wind it on a bobbin in a suitable winding type and number of turns.
A drain stand is used to accommodate the supply reel. Since it is necessary that the wire is wound onto the bobbin with a certain tension, various devices have become known for achieving this tension.
It is known, for example, to brake the supply roll. This is usually done using a band brake that is connected to a spring-loaded pulley via a lever linkage. It is true that the force of the spring, which acts on the pulley and band brake, can also be adjusted here; however, there is no guarantee for a precise display and setting of the required winding tension for c, thin wires. In addition, due to the large mass movement (lever linkage, supply reel, etc.), a sensitive setting, as is necessary with thin wires or threads, is not achieved with this.
In recent times there has therefore been a move to pull off the winding material via the flange of a stationary supply reel. The winding tension required for winding is generated here by guiding the wire between two compressible disks made of felt and rubber. The tensile stress in the wire resulting from this braking is indicated by the fact that the wire behind the brake, i.e. between the brake and the reel to be wound, runs over a spring-mounted pulley, the stroke of which serves as a measure of the existing tensile stress against the adjustable force of the spring. The direct clamping effect of the two discs on the wire has the disadvantage that the braking effect does not remain constant.
In a further known device for generating the winding tension, the wire, after leaving a storage container, is guided over a deflection roller around which the wire is wrapped.
The winding tension is generated here by braking the deflection roller with the aid of spring-loaded friction disks, whereby the spring force is adjustable.
The disadvantage of this device is that although the braking force can be adjusted, the winding tension actually acting on the wire cannot be read with this device and consequently cannot be adjusted and controlled. As a result, there is also no possibility of checking and, if necessary, correcting the actually effective winding tension during the winding process. The result is an overstretching of the wire or frequent wire breaks.
The aim of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantage of the prior art that the set tensile stress cannot be precisely determined or the predetermined tensile stress cannot be precisely reproduced.
The invention is based on the object of creating a device of the type described at the outset, in which the predetermined tensile stress can also be set or readjusted during the winding process and can also be read at any time.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the friction disc, which is arranged on a stationary axle between the deflection roller and the compression spring, is connected to an energy storage device that counteracts the angular momentum of the friction disc and carries a pointer on its circumference that corresponds to a scale on one of the axles and housing attached to the stand is arranged.
In an advantageous embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, it is provided that the compression spring acting on the friction disk can be adjusted by an adjustment handle that can be screwed onto the axis via pins and a pressure ring, and that the force accumulator counteracting the torque of the friction disk is designed as a torsion spring, the ends of which on the housing and are anchored to the friction disc.
In a further embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, a ball bearing ring is arranged between the compression spring and the friction disk in addition to the aforementioned compression ring.
The invention will be explained below using an exemplary embodiment. The accompanying drawing shows a side view in half section.
In a housing 1, which is exchangeably fastened in the stand 2, an axle 3 is supported. On this stationary axle 3, a roller 4 and a friction disk 5 are rotatably arranged next to one another. The roller 4 is provided with a groove 6 for guiding the winding material and is mounted on the axis 3 by a ball bearing 7. In order to achieve a certain friction pressure between the roller 4 and the friction disk 5, a compression spring 8 is arranged in the housing 1, which acts with a pressure ring 9 against a ball bearing 10 on the friction disk 5. The desired compressive force of the spring 8 is made by means of an adjusting knob 11 which can be screwed onto the axis 3 and which axially displaces a further pressure ring 9 by means of pins 12.
The angular momentum acting on the friction disk 5 from the rotating roller 4 is absorbed by a torsion spring 13, the ends of which are anchored on the housing 1 and on the friction disk 5. Since the entrainment of the friction disk 5 against the force of the torsion spring 13 is a measure of the winding tension, there is a pointer 14 on the circumference of the friction disk 5 and a correspondingly calibrated scale 15 on the housing 1.
The device works as follows:
The winding material is pulled off the supply roll, if necessary passed through a dirt-wiping felt pack and wrapped once around roll 4. From here the winding material is guided to the winding body via a pulley. If the winding is now started, the roller 4 moved by the material to be wound takes the friction disk with it until the friction torque set with the setting knob 11 is balanced with the torque of the torsion spring 13. The effective winding tension can be read on the scale 15 and corrected using the adjusting knob 11 if necessary.
