Le plateau came 2 va agir maintenant (fig.
<I>C. Arrêt automatique de l'appareil.</I>
étant alimenté indépendamment du circuit interrompu par l'ouverture de l'interrupteur, con tinue à fonctionner normalement, excite le bobinage 68 de l'électro-aimant commandant le retrait du crochet de retenue 64 de la plaque mobile<B>62;
2. que lorsque l'on place une cassette en position opérative dans l'appareil a) alors que les interrupteurs extérieurs (76-80) sont fermés : la mise de la cassette et de la plaque mobile en position opérative entraîne la ferme ture de l'interrupteur général 91 de l'appareil placé dans le second conducteur 72 reliant l'appa reil à la source de courant, ce qui provoque la mise sous tension de l'appareil et son fonctionne ment ;
b) alors qu'un interrupteur extérieur est ouvert : la mise de la cassette en position opérative entraîne toujours la fermeture de l'interrupteur général 91 de l'appareil placé dans le second conducteur 72 reliant l'appareil à la source de courant, mais ceci reste sans conséquence pour l'alimentation des éléments électriques de l'appareil, notamment du moteur 81 le circuit étant interrompu par l'interrupteur extérieur placé sur le premier con ducteur ;
Device for automatically stopping and taking out of the operative position of the cassette, for an apparatus for recording and reproducing information, in particular sound frequencies, on a tape-shaped support The present invention relates to recording apparatus and reproduction of information, in particular sound frequencies on or from a support in the form of a strip in which the support unwinds from a reel to be stored by winding on another reel, the reels being placed on drive cores,
under the action of a band movement command.
In such apparatus, it is desirable to provide a device which, when the end of the strip stored on the reel from which it unwinds is reached, terminates the action of the belt driving mechanism or reverses it. ci, stops the recording or reproducing devices or modifies their activity so as for example to cause the recording or reading of signals recorded on another track, stops or modifies certain connections of the device. with others such as amplifiers, etc.
Numerous devices of this kind exist <B>; </B> they are based either on information of various kinds, generally electrical, placed on the tape which then cooperate at the desired time with suitable feelers, or on the modification of the tension of the strip occurring at a point in the path of the latter situated between the unwinding and winding coils.
The drawbacks of the first type of devices based on information placed on the tape are clear: they require on the one hand the placement of such information which, when it is of a kind which does not interfere with the main functions of the tape. the apparatus, involve expensive testing devices, if not of uncertain operation.
Tape tension-based devices are simple, relatively safe to operate, but do not lend themselves to equipment using tape stored in cassettes that only expose to ensure maximum protection. as small a portion of tape as possible in view of its cooperation with the drive, recording and playback elements and thereby exposing the sensitive side of the tape to the outside of the cassette in order to cooperate with the elements recording or playback.
It is undesirable to exert on this side of the strip the continuous friction which the presence of a tension feeler implies.
Efforts have already been made to present stopping devices the operation of which is independent of any contact with the strip, by verifying in particular the position or positions that a member which cooperates with the unwinding core of the strip can take, when the latter This is held for some time blocked in the position imposed on it by the tension of the strip which is anchored to it at the end of unwinding.
This device requires precise positioning of the various possible anchoring points for the strip relative to the position of the feeler, which makes the operation dependent on the one hand on the precision of several elements, in particular those ensuring the connection between the core and the element cooperating with the feeler and the precision with which the tension of the strip can stop the unwinder core in a precise position.
The first object of the present invention is to present a device for stopping and taking out of the operative position of the cassette which can operate independently of any information carried by the tape, which does not require any physical contact whatsoever with it. ci, and which is not dependent on the relative position of certain elements of the mechanism with the elements of the unwinding core and in particular the anchoring point of the strip.
A second aim is to present an automatic stopping device operating both in the case of anchoring a strip and of not anchoring to its unwinding core.
A third object of the invention is to present a device of reduced size and affordable price, for mass-market production.
The device, object of the invention, is characterized in that it comprises switching means in connection with this control which keep the latter active during the rotation of one of these coils and which makes it inactive during a stop in the rotation of one of the coils, regardless of the position in which this coil is at the end of its rotation.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment and some variants of the device which is the subject of the invention.
Figs. 1, 2 and 3 relate to a first embodiment of the apparatus, and FIG. 4 to a second embodiment.
Figs. 5 and 6 relate to the device for controlling the setting out of the operative position of the cassette. Fig. 5 shows the electrical diagram of the cassette being in the operative position.
Fig. 6 is a partial view of this diagram showing the cassette in the non-operative position.
In fig. 1 attached, there is shown at 1 an axis of the soundtrack unwinding core which is attached to a cam plate 2 on the edge of which rubs a brake shoe 5, carried by a leaf spring 6, fixed on a part 7 or T (fig. 3) secured to the frame, not shown, of the device.
The part 7 (fig. 1) also carries an inverter 3 comprising three blades 8, 9 and 10, of which the middle one 9 carries a pusher 11 coming into contact with the cam 2, through an opening 81 in the blade 8.
The brake shoe 5 is arranged relative to the cam 2 at a place where its braking action is inversely proportional to that of the pusher 11 carried by the blade 9 (FIGS. 1 to 3).
The current supply wires are represented at 12 (negative - 13 positive) and are intended to supply in particular a motor 14 and a warning lamp 15 via a transistor T2 which is located in the circuit 13-131.
To the conductor 12 is connected a wire 16, connected to a transistor Tl; the base of this transistor is connected to a resistor RI by a conductor 161. This resistor RI is then connected to the pad III of an inverter 17 by the conductor 162; another pad II of the inverter 17 is connected by a wire 18 with the blade 10 of the inverter 3, while the central pad I of the inverter 17 is connected to the current inlet conductor 13 by a wire 19-191 in which is interposed a <B> CI. </B> capacitor
A conductor 20-201 in which is interposed a resistor or a diode 21 connects the base of the transistor T2 to the transistor T1. A resistor R3 is connected on the one hand to the supply conductor 13 and on the other hand, to the conductor 20. Another resistor R2 is connected on the one hand to the supply conductor 13 and on the other hand to the conductor 161.
A capacitor C2 is connected on the one hand, to the supply conductor 13 by a wire 22 and, on the other hand, to the central blade 9 of the inverter 3 by the conductor 221.
Another conductor 23 connects the wire 18 to the supply conductor 12. This assembly constitutes an electronic leakage circuit. The operation of the stop device is as follows <I> A. In the rest position; that is to say before starting the device </I> <I>. </I>
(Inverter 17 in position II-I).
The capacitor Ci is in charge, being supplied by the circuit 12-23-18-II-I-191-C1-19-13.
<I> B. Switching on and operating the device. </I> This setting '-ën- operation- of' the device-takes place by setting and maintaining the inverter 17 in position 1-III , either manually, or for example by placing a cassette in the operative position.
The capacitor C1 is slowly discharged through 191- I-II1-162-R1-161 on the base of the transistor Tl which becomes more negative and therefore, lets through the current which, through 201, 21 and 20, arrives at the base of transistor T2 and makes it more negative, which has the result of making transistor T2 conductive. Therefore the transistor T2 puts the motor 14, the amplifier <I> (not </I> <I> shown) </I> and the indicator lamp 15 under voltage.
Driven by the belt subject to the action of the elements ensuring its movement controlled by the motor, the unwinder core = rotates its axis 1 on which the cam plate 2 is mounted. The cam plate 2 will now act (fig. 1). and 2) or several times (twice - fig. 3) per turn on switch 3 (8-9-10).
In the position shown in FIG. 1, the capacitor C2 is charged by 13-22-221-9-24-25-10-18-23-12 while Cl discharges which keeps the transistor T2 conducting and keeps the motor 14 and the others under voltage. parts of the switchgear (amplifier, pilot light, etc.).
When the axis 1 and its cam plate 2 have turned 1800, the reverser 3 is in the position of fig. 2 where the pads 26 of the blade 9 and the stud 27 of the blade 8 are in contact; the capacitor C2 in parallel on C1 discharges on the latter and maintains the negative action of the latter on the base of the transistor T1, which has the effect of keeping the transistor T2 conducting.
During a new rotation of axis 1 by 1800, it is found in the position shown in FIG. 1 where the capacitor C2 charges while C1 discharges on the base of the transistor T1 maintaining the latter sufficiently negative to prolong the holding of the conducting transistor T2.
The capacitance of capacitors C1 and C2 is chosen such that their negative action on the base of transistor T1 is maintained sufficient between the successive actions of cam plate 2 on inverter 3 at each rotation of axis 1 for intervals corresponding to the slowest rotation envisaged by said axis during the travel of the strip. <I> C.
Switching off the device. </I> When no longer being carried away by the band (either because the latter is no longer anchored to its core it leaves it, or because it is anchored to this core, the band reaching its end blocks this one); the axis 1 of this core stops its rotation, the cam plate 2 stops its intermittent action on the inverter 3, the capacitors C1 -I- C2 or the capacitor C1 alone depending on the position in which:
finds the cam 2 stopped with respect to the inverter 3, is completely discharged and ceases their negative action on the basis of the transistor Tl hence on that of the transistor T2 which ceases to be conducting and therefore interrupts the power supply elements placed in its circuit (motor, amplifier, pilot light, etc.).
Resistor 21 can easily be replaced by a diode to activate the non-conduction state of transistor T2 during discharge of capacitor C1 or of capacitors <B> Ci </B> + C2.
Fig. 4 illustrates a variant of the device which this time comprises an electromagnet 30 capable of having a direct or indirect action on a switch 31 placed in the supply circuit (34 negative / 35 positive) of the various elements of the apparatus: motor 14, amplifier 32, pilot lamp 15, electronic rocker circuit and also a power socket 33 for secondary elements to be used in connection with the apparatus.
The reverser 3 cooperating with the cam plate 2 is identical to that used in the embodiment described above and illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 3.
The rocker electronic circuit controlled by the inverter 3 is designed in such a way that it does not allow the supply of the electromagnet 30 as long as the axis 1 of the rewinder core or the tape unwinder is rotating and that it causes this electromagnet 30 to be energized a few moments after stopping the rotation of said axis 1.
This flip-flop electronic circuit comprises a transistor T2 whose base is connected through a resistor Rl to the negative voltage conductor 34 via the conductors 36 and 37.
The emitter of transistor T1 is on the other hand connected to the positive voltage conductor 35 through the conductor 38 and its collector to the negative voltage conductor 34 through a resistor R3 through the conductors 39 and <B> 391. </B>
The conductor 39 is connected on the other hand to the base of the transistor T2.
The emitter of this transistor T9 is connected to the positive current supply circuit 35 while its read neck is connected by the conductor 41 to the electromagnet 30 which is also permanently connected to the live conductor. negative 34 after switch 31 by conductor 40.
The middle blade 9 of the inverter is connected to the conductor 41 by the conductors 42 and 421 between which the capacitor C2 is interposed. The blade 10 of the inverter is connected directly to the conductor 41 by the input of the conductor 43.
The blade 8 of the inverter 3 is connected by a resistor R2 to the base of the transistor T1 and by the capacitor <B> Ci </B> to the supply conductor 41 of the electromagnet 30.
The device works as follows <I> A. Rest position, i.e. before switching on the device </I> <I>. </I>
The main switch 31 being open, none of the elements of the apparatus is under voltage.
The capacitor Ci is fully discharged owing to the fact that the opening of the general switch 31 corresponds to the closing of the switch 47 which, through the conductors 45 and 46, short-circuits the capacitor Ci.
In the closed position 8-9 of the inverter 3, the capacitor C2 is connected in parallel to C1 so that C2 is short-circuited at the same time as C1 by the switch 47 and thus discharges immediately. In the closed position 9-10 of the same inverter 3, the capacitor C2 is short-circuited by 9-10 and also loses all its charge. <I> B.
Switching on and operating the appliance. </I> This switching on is effected by placing and maintaining the main switch 31 in the closed position. To this closed position corresponds the open position of switch 47.
Closing the main switch 31 energizes all the essential or secondary elements of the device: motor 14, amplifier 32, warning light 15, socket 33, etc. and of course also the electronic rocker circuit.
The axis 1 rotates either under the action of the motor 14 if it is the axis of the tape rewinding core, or driven by the tape if it is the axis of the tape unwinding core. .
At each turn of this axis, the cam plate 2 acts one or more times (once in the case shown) on the inverter 3 alternately closing the circuits 9-8 and 9-10.
In position 9-10 of inverter 3, capacitor C, is short-circuited and capacitor C1 is charged through 34, 40, 30, 41, R ,, the base and emitter of T1, 38, 35.
The transistor T ,. therefore remains non-conductive because galvanically short-circuited with Tl.
In position 9-8 of the inverter 3 (the cam plate 2 having, in the case shown, made a rotation of 1800) the capacitor C2 is connected in parallel to the capacitor Ci which first of all has the effect of reduce the charge of Cl, C2 being in the state of complete discharge at the moment of connection, then to cause the progressive charge of <B> Ci </B> + C2, which has the effect of keeping the transistor T2 not conductor due to its galvanic short-circuiting with Tl.
The alternation of charge, discharge and recharge of Ci is repeated on each operating cycle of the inverter 3 under the action of the cam plate 2.
The capacities of C1 and C2 are chosen such that <B> Ci </B> or <B> Ci </B> + C, never reach a charge voltage approaching that of the source of supply, as long as at intervals corresponding to the slowest rotation envisaged by axis 1 and cam 2, inverter 3 intermittently causes the discharge of Ci or Cl and C2.
<I> C. Automatic shutdown of the device. </I>
When, for the reasons given in the first example described, the axis 1 stops its rotation, the capacitor C1 or the capacitors C1 + C2 (depending on the position in which the cam plate 2 has stopped and therefore depending on the position that 'occupies the inverter 3 at this time) are gradually charged to very quickly reach a voltage close to that of the power source.
As a result, the base of transistor Tl is no longer sufficiently negative to keep this transistor Tl conductive, it therefore interrupts the positive voltage supply to the base of transistor T2 which thereby becomes conductive and causes the supply to be supplied by 35 , 41 of the electromagnet 30.
This acts and in particular opens the main switch 31, interrupting the power supply to all the elements of the device; simultaneously the switch 47 has closed, which causes the discharge of the capacitors C1 or <B> Ci </B> + C2 and places the whole of the device in the rest position described in A above.
It is clear that the examples of electronic circuits described above are subject to multiple variations. It is also within the abilities of those skilled in the art to replace the device for checking the rotation of the axis 1 resulting in the examples shown from the mechanical action of the cam plate 2 on the reverser 3 by devices having an intermittent action of the same nature on the electronic circuit chosen, but operating according to electrical principles (for example contact plate, photoelectric, magnetic, plate incorporating permanent magnets having an inductive action on fixed coils, etc.) .
The realization of the device causing the shutdown of the apparatus by energizing an electromagnet is particularly advantageous for the automation of the release and the placing in the removal position of the cassette in the equipment where the operation is caused by the only movement of the cassette as for example described and claimed in Belgian patent No 671749, of November 3, 1965, in the name of the holder, the electromagnet acting in this case in the same way than the manual control on the release devices.
Maintaining the cassette in the operative position against the action exerted by elastic means can be carried out by retaining the movable plate in a position which corresponds to this operative position, by a hook carried by the fixed frame which, under the action of a spring, engages behind a tenon carried by the mobile plate as soon as the latter has passed it (Belgian patent No 683077).
The exit of the cassette from this operative position results from the displacement without cooperation of this hook against the action exerted by its spring which abandons the movable plate and therefore the cassette which is integral with its longitudinal movements, to the action of the elastic means which tend to make this plate take its rest position.
The displacement without cooperation of this hook can be carried out either by a mechanical control, or by an <I> electromagnet </I> allowing the remote control and / or is interposed in the circuit of a stop device automatic.
Such a device finds a preferential application in the device forming the subject of Belgian patent No 671 649 of the holder filed on November 3, 1965.
The devices incorporating in addition to this device, an automatic stop device as described for controlling the automatic release of the movable plate and of the cassette out of the operative position when the end of the tape is reached, present numerous advantages both. with regard to ease as job security.
However, experience has shown that it would be desirable to provide a device ensuring the output of the cassette from the operative position, when, the apparatus being in operation, the supply of electric current to its motor is interrupted, for example, as a result. the opening of a switch placed in the circuit of this one as well as in that of other elements intervening or not in the operation of the apparatus.
This is the case in particular for tape reproducing devices used in motor vehicles, their power supply is generally made dependent on the switch of the car radio receiver, the low frequency elements of which are used as the final amplification stage of the radio receiver. sound signal read from the tape. In many cases, the power supply circuit of the car radio receiver is itself still made dependent on a combined switch or confused with that which is placed in the ignition circuit of the motor of the motor vehicle.
It follows from these provisions that, when having arrived at destination, while the apparatus is in operation, following the putting into operative position of a cassette, - the operation is interrupted by opening the switch. placed both in the circuit of the cassette reproducing device and the car radio,
or simply by opening the switch placed both in the power supply circuit of the car radio and of the device (tape reproducer or that of the ignition of the vehicle engine, the cassette remains in position operative without the motor no longer driving the belt.
This situation, if it lasts, is damaging for the belt and for the perfect concentricity of the plastic coating of the pressure roller.
In order to ensure the removal of the cassette from the operative position in apparatus of the type described, when the rotation of the motor ensuring the drive of the tape in the operative position ceases and to present a device which, in addition to the removal operating the cassette under the conditions described above, even causing it to be switched off as soon as it has performed its function,
the supply of current to the electric device controlling the output from the operational position of the cassette when the tape is no longer in motion is made independent of any switch other than the main switch placed in the conductor connecting all the electrical elements of the '' device at one terminal of the current source (the closing and opening of this switch resulting from the existence or not of a cassette in operative position)
while all the other switches on which it is desired to make the operative functioning of the appliance dependent are placed in the conductor connecting the electrical elements of the appliance, with the exception of the operative position output control device, to the other terminal of the current source.
In fig. 5 and 6 of the drawings are shown, as described and represented by Belgian patent No. 671749, of November 3, 1965, and as in Figs. 1 to 4 above, at 51 a fixed frame on which the cassette can slide and at 52, a movable plate comprising flanges 521 folded down; on the lateral sides of the chassis 51 at the front and at the rear of the latter are provided ears 56 each carrying an axle end 57 and on these axle ends are mounted so as to pivot the connecting rods 58 which are articulated to other ends of axis 59 soli daires of legs fixed to the vertical edges 521 of the movable plate.
By the movement of the connecting rods 58 which constitute a deformable parallelogram connection between the frame 51 and the movable plate 52, the latter, simultaneously with its displacement parallel to the frame, undergoes a displacement which brings its plane closer to that of the frame.
Springs 108 are hooked at 109 to the movable plate and at 110 to the fixed frame 51 and intervene in such a way that by these elastic elements the movable plate tends to take an extreme position opposite to the operative position which, for its part, is achieved by the retaining this plate in a suitable position opposite said elastic elements, by a locking worm member. .
This locking member is, in the example shown, an angled lever 63 provided at its end with a hook 64, pivoting about an axis 65 fixed to the fixed frame 51 and subjected to the action of 'a spring 66 fixed at 67.
The pivoting of the elbow lever 63 forming a retaining part results from the closing of the circuit of an electromagnet 68 with a plunger core 69.
This electromagnet can advantageously be controlled by the automatic stop device shown schematically at 70, described above in FIGS. 1 to 4, so as to cause the cassette to be rejected and the unit to stop when the tape stored therein reaches the end of its travel.
This electromagnet 68 is the one bearing the reference 30 in FIGS. 1 to 4.
In fig. 5, there is shown a supply conductor 71 connected to the positive terminal of the current source and a supply conductor 72 connected to the negative terminal.
Represented at 73, the vehicle engine ignition device connected to the conductors 71 and 72 respectively by wires 74 and 75.
At 76, the switch for the ignition device.
At 77, the car radio receiver connected to conductors 71 and 72 respectively by wires 78 and 79.
In 80, the switch of the car radio.
At 81, the motor of the apparatus connected to the positive terminal by a wire 82 and to the negative terminal by a wire 83. At 84, the amplifier of the apparatus connected to the positive terminal by a wire 85 and to the negative terminal with a wire 86.
In 87, the accessories of the apparatus, such as for example a pilot light.
The automatic stop device shown diagrammatically at 70 is supplied in a direct positive manner by a wire 88 connected to the conductor 71, while the negative power supply of this device is made by a wire 721 constituting the continuation of the wire 72 from a point 89 where the negatives of elements 81 (motor), 84 (amplifier) and accessories end.
The automatic stop device .comprises, in the example shown as well as provided in FIG. 4 above, an electronic rocker circuit which controls the closing of the power supply circuit 90 of the electromagnet 68, this electronic circuit being designed in such a way that it does not allow the power supply to the electromagnet. -Magnet 68 as long as the axis of the reel or tape unwinder core is rotating and it causes this electromagnet to be energized following the stopping of rotation of this axis.
On the conductor 72 is provided a switch 91 (bearing the reference 31 in fig. 1-4) located in a position such that the closing and opening of this switch results from the existence or not of a cassette in the operative position. .
In the position of FIG. 5 a cassette is in the operative position and the switch 91 is closed and in the position of FIG. 6, there is no cassette in the operative position and the switch 91 is open.
It follows from this device 1. that when the appliance is working, a cassette being placed in the operative position (fig. 5) and that an external switch (76-80) placed in the circuit of one of the conductors is opened. supplying electric current to the apparatus, the motor 81 thereof stops immediately, which causes the stopping of the belt drive and the entry into action of the automatic stop device 70 which ,
being powered independently of the circuit interrupted by the opening of the switch, continues to operate normally, energizes the coil 68 of the electromagnet controlling the withdrawal of the retaining hook 64 from the movable plate <B> 62;
</B> this, being given up to the action of the elastic means which urges it towards its rest position, leaves the operative position with the cassette, which has the effect of opening the circuit of the second conductor. power supply (switch 91) of the appliance and to put the automatic shut-off device in turn off.
2.that when a cassette is placed in the operative position in the device a) while the external switches (76-80) are closed: placing the cassette and the movable plate in the operative position causes the the main switch 91 of the appliance placed in the second conductor 72 connecting the appliance to the current source, which causes the appliance to be switched on and its operation;
b) while an external switch is open: placing the cassette in the operative position always results in the closing of the general switch 91 of the device placed in the second conductor 72 connecting the device to the current source, but this remains without consequence for the supply of the electrical elements of the apparatus, in particular of the motor 81, the circuit being interrupted by the external switch placed on the first conductor;
the automatic stop device being him now connected to the current source without being dependent on the position of external switches will be energized and because the strip is not driven, it will excite the electromagnet 68 , which will cause the cassette to be removed from the operative position and to open the general circuit of the apparatus as in a) above.
This device therefore guarantees that any cassette placed in the device is put out of operation, while a switch is open in the supply circuit, its motor is not powered and therefore the tape is not driven, and causes the complete shutdown of the device after having fulfilled its function.
It can therefore be said that the device according to FIGS. 5 and 6 is characterized by the fact that the power supply of the electrical device controlling the output of the operative position of the cassette when the tape is not moving is made independent of any switch other than that 91 placed in the cassette. conductor (72-721)
connecting all the electrical elements of the device to one of the terminals of the current source (switch whose closing or opening results from the existence or not of a case in the operative position) all the other switches whose wishes to make the operative functioning of the apparatus dependent on being placed in the conductor (71) connecting the electrical elements of the apparatus with the exception of the operative position output control device to the other terminal of the source current.
