Device for automatic, discontinuous sampling of liquids from pipelines The invention relates to a device for self-acting, discontinuous sampling of liquids from pipelines, which has a volume measuring vessel with a pipe socket which protrudes into the upper end of the vessel and is connected to a riser for filling or sucking off the measuring liquid and a shut-off element arranged at the bottom outlet of the vessel.
In the Swiss patent specification No. 428277 an automation of the sampling is disclosed, which is achieved in that the filling pipe stub protruding into the volume measuring vessel is connected to a secondary line of the main line containing the measurement solution and above the confluence, which is designed as a riser line with a siphon of the nozzle, a solenoid valve is arranged in the secondary line and a pair of contacts is located in the upper end of the vessel above the end of the inlet nozzle and another solenoid valve is located in the bottom outlet of the measuring vessel
is located, both solenoid valves are electrically connected to a programmer and an auxiliary voltage source and the control coil for the first-mentioned solenoid valve is only connected to the programmer via a self-locking, externally controlled switching arrangement to interrupt a circuit and the contact pair is also connected to the power source with power powered circuit of the external control for the ge called switching arrangement is. It has now been found that a device according to the invention which is modified compared to the device mentioned above can be used for some tasks, e.g. B.
to achieve the smallest dead times or for measuring solutions containing gas or air is even better suited if, according to the invention, the one in the volume measuring vessel. The protruding filler pipe socket is connected to a secondary line of the main line containing the measurement solution, which is designed as a riser with a siphon, and the filler socket is connected via a line to a branch line leading down from the lower apex of the siphon and a solenoid valve for the filler socket below this connection point is arranged and located in the upper end of the vessel above the end of the filler neck
a pair of contacts and another solenoid valve in the bottom outlet of the measuring vessel, that both solenoid valves are also electrically connected to a programmer and an auxiliary voltage source and the control coil for the first-mentioned solenoid valve is only via a self-locking, externally controlled switching arrangement for interrupting a circuit on the programmer is closed and the pair of contacts is in the circuit of the external control for the said switching arrangement, which is also supplied with power by the power source.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject of the application is shown schematically.
A filler neck 23 of a measuring vessel 1 is connected via an inclined line 6 and a vertical line 5 to a secondary line 4, designed as a riser with siphon 18a, 18b, 18c, of a main line 8 that flows through the measuring solution. The upper Schei tel of the pipe bend 18b, 18c is provided with a vent 9 nozzle. Below the junction 5a of the pipe 6 an inversely ar processing solenoid valve 3 is arranged in the secondary line 5, which is controlled by a programmer 10 of a known type, for.
B. can be switched on via a switch 14 mounted therein and thus opened. Furthermore, a contact pair 13 arranged in the upper part of the measuring vessel above the end 7 of the inlet connection 23 of the pipe 6 is located in the control circuit 12 of a known self-locking circuit 11 for interrupting a circuit. In this way it is achieved that the contact pair 13 z. B. connects the control winding 16 of a relay of the known self-locking externally controlled circuit 11 with an auxiliary electrical voltage source 15 as soon as the liquid level touches these contacts 13.
The relay 16 can, for. B. contain a changeover contact 17a and a switch-off contact 17b; The switching contact 17a in its rest position provides the power supply to the solenoid valve 3, while in its working position the power supply to the control coil of the relay 16, while at the same time the switch-off contact 17b interrupts the power supply to the aforementioned contact pair 11. After the siphon outflow 5, 5a has been shut off in this way, the siphon 18a, 18b acts as a siphon and removes the excess part of the measuring solution up to the lower end 7 of the filler neck 23. This protrudes into a narrowed part 19 of the measuring vessel 1, so that a high level of dosing accuracy is guaranteed.
The self-holding 17a of the relay 16 ensures that the filling process cannot repeat itself periodically; only when the switch 14 in the programmer is opened does the entire arrangement return to its starting position. A solenoid valve 2 angeord netes in the bottom outlet 26 of the measuring vessel 1 is also controlled by the program transmitter 10 so that after dosing the metered volume of further use, z. B. is fed to an analyzer.
In order to avoid a little reproducible air cushion in the narrowed floor outlet 26 up to the solenoid valve 2 with very high demands on the dosing accuracy when refilling the measuring vessel 1, the floor outlet can be shaped like a siphon so that the end 20 of the floor outlet is at the height the beginning of the outlet constriction 26 ends. This ensures that when the metered solution runs out of the measuring vessel 1, the liquid does not fall below the start of the discharge constriction 26. The tubes 18c and 5 serve as a drain or can be returned to the main line 8.
