Relay with a flat, U-shaped armature The invention relates to a relay with a flat, U-shaped armature, the legs of which partially cover the legs of an E-shaped core plate, with between the middle of the armature and the end of the central web supporting the coil the core plate of the working air splits and the axis of rotation of the armature is formed by the ends of the armature legs resting on the core plate.
It is an object of the invention to provide a relay with an armature of the type mentioned, in which this is held in a precise position to the core plate with a small and constant magneti cal resistance between these two parts in the rest position. The relay should be easy to manufacture and assemble and ensure low wear and tear and thus high operational reliability even with very high switching numbers.
The relay according to the invention is characterized in that a spring plate is attached to each leg of the core plate, which engages with a nose in a groove which is attached close to and parallel to the axis of rotation in the armature, and the end of the armature leg on the Core plate presses.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawings and is described below. Fig. 1 and 2 show views from different sides, Fig.3 shows a section in the plane designated in Fig.l.
It is 1 the E-shaped core plate with two legs and a central web, 2 the flat U-shaped anchor, which rests on the legs of the core plate and is rotatable about the axis 3. The air gap 4 is formed between the center of the armature and the end of the core web. A control plate 5, which is only hinted at, is hooked into lugs 6 of the armature and actuates the contact springs in a manner not described in detail. Near the axis of rotation 3, the armature has a groove into which the nose of a spring 8 engages. Such a spring is attached to each leg of the core plate and holds the armature firmly on the core plate by pressing in the groove 7. Because of the proximity of the groove and the axis of rotation, the relative movement of the groove and thus the spring is low.
There is thus little wear and tear on the contact points and a high level of operational reliability is guaranteed.
The spring 8 is part of an element 9 made of bent sheet metal, which engages around the leg of the core plate from its inner edge and is attached to it by a few weld points. This element has a tab 10 which rests against the inner edge of the core plate and prevents movement of the armature in the direction of the axis of rotation. The parts of the spring plate 9 lying between the welding points are slightly cranked, so that a small gap is formed between the spring plate and the core. These parts each have a hole 11, which is used for centering when welding the spring plate and for centering the spring sets.
The spring set consists of a block 12 made of insulating material into which the contact springs 13 are cast or pressed. Only parts of the contact springs in the immediate vicinity of the block are indicated. The block 12 is held by a bracket 14 and carries a dowel pin 15 made of insulating material, which engages in the hole 11 of the spring steel sheet and in holes in the contact springs and thus the correct position of the contact springs in the block and the block in the longitudinal direction of the leg fixes .
