Partially porous component and method for its production The present invention relates to a porous component, with a porous body and a tube connected to it, impermeable to fluids.
According to the invention, the component is characterized in that the facing surfaces of the porous body and the impermeable pipe are only connected to one another at certain points and at other points form channels between them through which a fluid can be fed to the porous body, and that in or on or both in and on the impermeable tube one or more lines are formed through which a second fluid can be passed, which is in heat exchange with the first fluid, but is separated from this by the impermeable tube.
The invention also relates to a procedural Ren for producing the component. The method is characterized in that a metal pipe is provided with longitudinally extending groove-shaped indentations and a porous metal pipe is metallurgically connected to the outside of the first-mentioned pipe so that the indentations form channels for a flowing medium.
With reference to the accompanying drawings, embodiments of the invention are described ben according to the following.
Figs. 1-4 show items and the produc- tion of a first embodiment.
5 and 6 each show a different embodiment.
The tube 22 shown in Figs. 1-4 is a seamless cylinder which is provided with longitudinal Einbuch lines 23 which correspond to the desired flow channels. A sintered porous metal body is attached to the tube 22. For this purpose, for example, a hollow cylinder 24 made of sintered porous metal is preformed into which the tubular part 23 is pushed. The two parts are then metallurgically connected to each other in a known manner. As can be seen from FIG. 4, a further porous metal body can also be accommodated in the interior of the tube 22.
For this purpose, a hollow cylinder 25 is made. Sintered metal preformed, the outside diameter of which is matched to the clear width of the sheet metal tube 22. As can be seen from FIG. 4, the inwardly projecting walls of the channels 23 can be adapted to the hollow cylinder 25. This results in a plurality of flow channels in the wall of the tubular component between the respective sintered porous metal bodies connected to them.
Of course, a more complicated course of the flow channels can also be produced, for example, instead of or in addition to the axially extending channels, tangential channels or a combination of the two in the form of helical channels.
5 schematically shows a heat exchanger constructed according to the principles mentioned, in which the sheet metal part 147 is tubular. It has inner lines 148 and is located in a hollow, cylindrical, porous jacket 149 which is connected to the tops of the lines 148 by metal. The flow channels 150, which are formed between the porous Man tel 149 and the tubular sheet metal part 147, are used to pass a second flow means. Furthermore, a second hollow cylindrical porous metal body 151 is accommodated within the sheet metal part 147 and mechanically connected to the inner apices of the lines 148.
The so defined between the inner ren sintered cylinder 151 and the sheet metal part 147 th flow channels 152 are used to pass through a further fluid. If only two fluids are required, the somewhat simplified structure according to FIG. 4 can also be used, in which the sheet metal part has no inner lines.
If, as before, a porous sintered metal part is connected to the inner wall of a pipe, precautions must be taken to allow for the strong shrinkage of the porous metal part during sintering and still achieve a good metallic connection to the sheet metal part. This is readily apparent if one takes into account that the sheet metal part and the porous part represent two concentric rings, of which the inner one shrinks during sintering and the outer one expands.
The difficulties involved can be overcome if the tubular sheet metal part 153 according to FIG. 6 is provided with at least one bead 154. In this way, in the course of the sintering process, the porous body 155 is first connected to the sheet metal part by fusion or diffusion bonding, so that a surface bond results at the contact surface of the two parts. At the same time, the porous body shrinks, as is unavoidable in sintering processes.
Because of the bead 154, however, the sheet metal part can follow the shrinking process in the direction of the arrows, as a result of which the forces exerted on the connection are reduced, so that the formation of the metallurgical bond is greatly facilitated.
