Device for detecting the slip and the angular acceleration of a synchronous machine
The invention relates to a device for detecting the slip and the angular acceleration of the pole wheel of an electrical synchronous machine in the event of sudden changes in load.
Such slip measurements are necessary in addition to the measurement of other variables such as the terminal voltage in order to be able to compensate for rotor oscillations occurring with sudden load changes with the aid of the exciter device. So far, the measurement of the slip has been based on the pole wheel angle.
Attempts have been made to determine the slip and the angular acceleration of the pole wheel by differentiating an electrical quantity proportional to the pole wheel angle. However, this voltage does not give an exact result, since the elements required for differentiation have Z-side constants (resistor capacitor or resistor inductor elements). As a result, the phases of the electrical quantities are shifted and a curve shape is distorted.
To avoid these disadvantages, it is proposed according to the invention that a measuring device is provided which measures the derivation of the slip with respect to time according to the equation ds ¯ 1 dt - TA (Pa-PE) and an integration element is provided which calculates the slip from the derivation of the slip determined itself and that a measuring and control device is connected to the output of the integration element.
This invention is based on the following lines of thought:
In the event of a sudden change in load, the electrical power is changed practically without delay.
In contrast, the speed and the drive torque of the generator remain practically unchanged. This means that the torque proportional to the electrical power must temporarily deviate from the mechanical torque. This results in a pole wheel displacement and a change in the angle between the vector of the pole wheel voltage and the Kleemm voltage. This change in the rotor angle means that the machine is slipping. It can now be demonstrated that the slip change dt (angular acceleration) is approximately proportional to the difference between the mechanical and electrical moment.
Since these moments are proportional to the power, the change in slip is also proportional to the difference between the mechanical (PA) and electrical (PE) power. If the powers are used in unit values, the proportionality constant is inversely proportional to the mechanical time constant TA. This results in the equation ds ¯ 1 dt = TA (PA-PE) for the slip change (1) This equation shows that the slip change can be obtained without the aid of electrical differentiators by simple power measurement and power comparison.
The slip itself is then obtained by integrating the values thus obtained in an integration element.
It is useful here to convert the values obtained in this way into direct voltages and then to feed them to a measuring device or a control device. The adjustment of the slip in the event of sudden changes in load is possible in a simple and safe manner. Any distortions or phase shifts then do not occur. The values obtained in this way are then allowed to act on the voltage regulation, whereby they can influence the normal voltage regulation.
The figure shows an exemplary embodiment. The generator 1 feeds the three-phase network. RST. With 2 the current transformers are indicated, with 3 the voltage transformers, which feed the control device. The other parts belonging to the switchgear have been omitted. 4 is a power meter that measures the actually occurring electrical power pE and converts it into a direct voltage proportional to the power at the output.
For this purpose, Hrall generators can be used in a known manner, with which the three-phase power is measured. The direct voltage occurring at the output is now fed directly to the summing element 8 once via the resistor 5 and once via the delay device 6 and the resistor 7. The Ver delay element 6 is built as an amplifier, the feedback of a capacitor 9 and a counter stand 10 consists. This means that the output signal is delayed when compared to the input signal.
If the power g po changes very quickly, the original power is initially retained at the output of the delay element. This power then corresponds to the still existing mechanical power PA. The summing element then receives the electrical power Pn directly and from the delay element 6 still receives the previously available power PA, which corresponds to the mechanical line. The time constant of the delay element can correspond to the mechanical time constant of the generator, but it can also be smaller or even larger if the stability conditions require it.
The sign is reversed by the amplifier circuit in the delay element 6, so that the summing element actually forms the difference between the two powers. The constants of the amplifier 8 are chosen such that they correspond in the reciprocal value to the time constant TA according to equation (1).
A DC voltage now appears at the output of the summing element, which is proportional to the change in slip according to equation (1). This can be measured at this point or fed to a control device. This can be done via the rule resistor 11, for example. In order to obtain the slip itself, this voltage is fed to an integrating element which, with the aid of the capacitor 13 forming the feedback, integrates the slip change voltage and thus generates a voltage proportional to the slip itself as the output voltage.
This voltage can be measured by the instrument 14 and fed to a control device for a potentiometer 15, for example the voltage control in the exciter circuit 16 of the machine 1. The excitation voltage in the excitation circuit 16 is carried out with the aid of a controlled rectifier arrangement 17, the control voltage acting on the control (the ignition angle) of the rectifiers. These facilities are known and are therefore not described in detail. Between the rectifier arrangement 17 and the potentiometer resistor 15 there is still the Sunmiier member 18.
The purpose of this is to summarize all the variables required to compensate for a suddenly occurring slip and to supply them to the control device. There are three such variables to be seen here, namely the slip itself (potentiometer 15), {the change in slip (potentiometer 11) and the voltage from the voltage regulator 19, which normally only influences the control of the controlled rectifier 17.
All three quantities are fed to the summing element 18 via the resistors 21, 22 and 23. The voltage for the voltage regulation is also obtained from the voltage converters 3. A direct voltage corresponding to the nominal value of the voltage is also fed to the voltage regulator through the line 20. The voltage regulator 19 does not differ from known arrangements and is therefore also not described in more detail.
The mode of action is now as follows:
Normally there is no slip, so the mechanical power PA and the electrical power PE are equal. As a result, the difference between the two voltages at the output of the summation element 8 is zero. There is therefore also no voltage at the potentiometers 11 and 15. In this case, only the voltage regulation via the voltage regulator 19 is effective and regulates the voltage of the generator in a known manner via the exciter circuit 16 and the regulating device 17.
However, if the power PE suddenly changes, the mechanical power does not immediately follow this sudden change. The speed and the mechanical torque then remain as before for the first moment. As a result, the voltage at the output of the delay element 6, which has the same time constant as the mechanical part of the generator, also remains, while the voltage, which corresponds to the power Pn, changes without a delay.
The summation element therefore generates a voltage at the output corresponding to the difference between the two powers.
This corresponds to the change in slip according to equation (1). This voltage is now additionally fed to the control device 17 via the potentiometer 11 and the summing resistor 22, the summing element 18. Furthermore, the slip change voltage is fed to the integrating element, at the output of which a voltage that is itself proportional to the slip arises. This is also brought to the control device 17 via the potentiometer 15, the summing resistor 21, the summing element 18. The voltage of the generator is no longer regulated by the voltage itself, but by the appropriate sum of voltage, slip and change in slip.
The ratio of these voltages can be changed by changing potentiometer settings 11 and 15.
In this way, a slip compensation regulation is obtained without special differentiating elements with the disadvantages mentioned.
