Description
Fig. 1 eine Vorderansicht eines Körperübungsgerätes im Gebrauch,
Fig. 2 eine Aufsicht auf dasselbe, und
Fig. 3 eine Detailansicht einer Variante.
Physical exercise machine for home use
For carrying out health-promoting body exercises and / or for training on certain types of sports in the home, a number of Oymnastikgeräte specially used for this purpose are known.
A number of massage devices for massaging one's own body are also known, these devices consistently having the disadvantage that practicing stroking massage on one's own body with these devices, especially on the trunk and legs, is very tedious and only under heavy loads on individual muscles can be massaged by hand.
The present invention aims to provide a cheap to manufacture, space-consuming physical exercise device for home use, which facilitates the stroking massage on the trunk and legs and combines it with gymnastics exercises.
Such a physical exercise device is characterized according to the invention in that it has a footplate designed as a rocker and two hand supports on the side of the same, which are pivotably mounted about a horizontal axis and which are resiliently urged against each other and each carry massage bodies protruding into the space between the supports.
An example embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing. It shows:
Fig. 1 is a front view of an exercise machine in use.
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same, and
3 shows a detailed view of a variant.
The device shown consists of two parallel tubes 1, which are connected to each other by cross struts 2 ver. Extension rods 3 protrude from the ends of the tubes 1 and can be telescoped into the tubes 1 when the device is not in use.
A foot plate 4 is arranged between the tubes 1 in the longitudinal center of the same. In the example shown, this footplate 4 is designed as a rocker that can be rotated about a horizontal axis 5.
At the opposite ends of the tubes 1, the ends of two U-shaped brackets 6 and 7 are articulated so that they can be pivoted about a horizontal axis. These two brackets are resiliently urged against one another by tension springs 8 and 9, respectively.
Each of the brackets 6, 7 has a kink 10, 11 at the same height. In this kink a rocker 12, 13 is mounted, the ends of which each carry a massage roller 14. The four massage rollers 14 are concave in order to better adapt to the body to be massaged.
Instead of arranging two rollers 14 at the ends of a rocker 12 and 13 on each bracket 6 and 7, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, each bracket 6 and / or 13 could also, as shown in the variant according to FIG 7 only carry one massage roller 14 which, arranged at the kink 10, protrudes into the space between the brackets 6, 7.
As is readily understandable, when the device shown is not in use, the two brackets 6, 7 are pressed against one another by their springs 8, 9 via their respective massage rollers 14.
To use the device, the brackets are grasped at their web 15, which forms a handle, and pivoted apart against the action of the springs 8, 9. In the position shown, the user stands upright on the footplate 4 between the brackets, so that the massage rollers are now pressed against his torso to the side or front and back, depending on the position selected by the user. Now the user tilts his rigidly held body ge against the one bracket in an inclined position, as indicated in FIG. The massage rollers of one bracket slide upwards along the torso, and the massage foils of the other bracket slide downwards along the torso and then along one leg of the user and exert a stroking massage.
The spring of the swiveled-out bracket, whose spring force is approximately adapted to the weight of an adult person and which can optionally be adjustable, the user is pushed back into the upright starting position when a certain inclined position is reached, and he can now drop into the opposite inclined position and so on.
The impulse of the movements results from the action of the springs, combined with a slight pull of one hand or a light push of the other hand on the handles 15.
The forces that arise as a result of keeping the body rigid in the inclined position stress the abdominal muscles quite considerably on various sides, depending on the rotational position of the body in relation to its vertical axis.
The user can rotate freely on the footplate 4 during the exercises. At the same time as this gymnastics exercise, the massage rollers stroking the body produce a deep and intensive walking and stroking massage, so that the use of the device simultaneously strengthens the abdominal muscles and massages the fat pads on the torso and legs.
So that the device can be adapted to people of different sizes, the brackets 6, 7 are advantageously designed to be adjustable in length so that the height of the attachment point of the massage rollers on the body of the user can be adjusted.
As massage rollers rotating or non-rotating brushes or other roller-shaped bodies known for stroking massage, e.g. B. made of plastic can be used.
