Chuck for clamping hollow cylindrical, thin-walled turned parts The invention relates to a clamping device for clamping hollow cylindrical, thin-walled turned parts.
To accommodate hollow cylindrical thin-walled workpieces for turning in the longitudinal and / or transverse direction, outwardly opening mandrels and chucks are usually used, the jaws of which move radially outward for workpiece clamping. With the help of this known clamping medium, such workpieces can be clamped from the inside.
However, these clamping devices are not suitable for holding extremely thin-walled parts, since the relevant peripheral part of the workpiece is overstretched and thus permanently deformed in order to achieve the adhesion between the tendons and the workpiece that is necessary for machining. It is unavoidable that the clamped workpiece part is deformed by the tension members which are spread out or moved radially outward and is deformed into a corresponding polygon.
If, on the other hand, it is a question of thin-walled workpieces, the shell of which cannot be overstretched beyond the elastic limit on its clamped part due to a sufficient wall thickness, the result is a contraction of the machined workpiece shell into its original shape after the release, but this still leads to this that no exact outer diameter or one within the permissible tolerances is available.
These disadvantages are avoided by the invention. It relates to a clamping device for clamping hollow cylindrical thin-walled turned parts, with a receiving body arranged on the work spindle of a lathe, in which at least two clamping members are provided which are radially outwardly displaceable to its longitudinal axis and which apply to the inner surface of the workpiece shell during clamping and their on the one hand rest on the circumferential surface of a conical clamping head of an axially displaceable actuator.
According to the invention, the device is characterized in that a stop surface is assigned to the tendons in the clamping direction and the distance of the stop surface from the longitudinal axis of the receiving body is equal to or slightly larger than the outer radius of the workpieces to be picked up. With this construction, the jacket of the increasing workpiece is clamped or clamped between clamping elements, and the material expansion that occurs during clamping can thus be determined in such a way that no permanent material deformation occurs or a change in the external diameter of the jacket that is not acceptable can be taken, cannot be done.
An advantageous construction can be obtained if the abutment surfaces assigned to each tendon are formed by a ring piece arranged on the receiving body. The inner circumferential surface of this ring piece thus forms the stop surface assigned to all tendons according to the invention. It is advisable to arrange this ring piece on the receiving body exchangeable bar so that it is possible to easily convert the clamping device for workpieces with different outer diameters. For this purpose, it is also advantageous if the tendons have exchangeable clamping jaws.
The individual tendons can be arranged radially adjustable in various ways in the receiving body. A particularly simple and advantageous construction results when the receiving body for ra dialverstellbaren arrangement of the clamping members has a, coaxially arranged to its longitudinal axis, penetrated by Actuate supply organ having a recess, the recess of which the clamping members reach through with a guide body that with a lateral guide groove on the guide wall is guided ra dial slidably. It is advantageous here to make the construction so that
that the clamping elements inevitably moved back into their release position who the as soon as the actuator is controlled in its release position. Such a compulsory return can be created in a simple manner that around the guide body of all tensioning members, preferably in front of and behind the guide wall of the receiving body, preferably elastic ring members formed by helical springs, are placed.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the clamping device according to the invention, it is proposed to provide a radially extending slot on the circumference of the recess provided in the guide wall for each tendon guide body, in which a respective pin engages in the guide body of the tendons and extends through the guide groove. This measure ensures that the tendon guide body can only be adjusted in the radial direction relative to the guide wall. The pens provided accordingly form entrainment organs.
The guide wall of the receiving body provided for guiding the tendons can be molded on the inside thereof and formed, for example, by an annular collar. A much more advantageous construction is obtainable, however, if the guide wall is formed by an annular disk that is replaceable in the receiving body, preferably consisting of two halves, which can preferably be clamped in the receiving body with the aid of the ring piece.
The inventive arrangement of the tendons in the receiving body makes it possible to orient them in their entirety eccentrically to the ring piece encompassing the same. This makes it possible to properly clamp workpieces whose bore is eccentric to the workpiece outer circumference.
In order to ensure that the clamping head of the actuator that actuates the tendons can also be shifted slightly, the same is preferably coupled via a shaft to an actuator rod that can be bent transversely to its longitudinal direction.
A preferred exemplary embodiment of a clamping device according to the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the clamping device, FIG. 2 shows a cross section along line 2-2 of FIG.
With 10 as a whole a receiving body of the jig in accordance with the invention is designated. In the present embodiment, this recording body forms by the spindle head piece -a work spindle 12 of an automatic lathe. The receiving body has a shaft 14 with a peripheral part 16 that is enlarged at its free end. At the end face 18 of this enlarged peripheral part, a ring piece 20 is fastened by means of screws 22.
This ring piece engages with a collar 24 in the enlarged peripheral part 16. The ring piece is assigned a plurality of clamping members 26 which radially outward, d. H. the stop surface 28 of the ring piece are movable. These tendons are arranged on an inner guide wall 30 of the receiving body such that they can move radially.
For this purpose, they have a guide body 32 which has a lateral guide groove 34. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the guide wall 30, which is preferably formed from two sections 36 and 38, has a bore 40 coaxial with the receiving body, through which the guide bodies 32 reach. With their grooved part, the guide bodies overlap the guide wall, which accordingly engages in the groove 34. The guide bodies are accordingly radially movable leads.
For each guide body, the guide wall has a slot 42 extending radially outward from its bore 40. A pin 44 provided in the respective guide body of the individual tensioning elements is arranged in this slot. It is thus ensured that the tensioning elements can only move in the radial direction in the recess 40 of the guide wall. The two halves of the disc 36, 38 forming the guide wall 30 are held in the receiving body by means of the ring piece 20.
The guide body 32 of the tendons are each equipped with a clamping jaw 46 which is fastened interchangeably.
An actuating member which extends through the recess 40 of the guide wall 30 and which has a conical clamping head 48 is used for radial adjustment of the tensioning members. The guide bodies 32 of the tendons rest on the circumference of this clamping head. About a shaft 50 of the clamping head is connected to a pressure tube 52 displaceably arranged in the working spindle.
The shaft end is formed here as a threaded sleeve 54 and can be held in a nut 56 screwed onto the pressure tube in a desired position relative to the pressure tube. The threaded sleeve 54 is secured in part 56 with the aid of a lock nut 58. If the pressure tube 52 is pulled back, the tensioning members are pressed radially outward due to the conicity of the clamping head 48.
To ensure a positive return of the tendons in their starting position, 30 ela elastic ring members 60 and 62 are led around the guide body in front of and behind the partition wall, which are preferably formed by coil springs and arranged in corresponding grooves of the guide body. These elastic ring members try to move the tension members constantly into their release.
The inventive arrangement of the ring piece marked with 20 ensures that the workpiece to be recorded, denoted by 64 in the present exemplary embodiment, is clamped from the inside as well as from the outside by the clamping jaws 46 of the clamping members 26 pressing the same against the stop surface 28 of the ring piece. With a correspondingly narrow diameter dimension of the bore forming the stop surfaces 28, it is ensured that the clamping jaws 46 cannot stretch the workpiece to such an extent that permanent material deformation occurs.
Such material deformation can be avoided with certainty if the inner diameter of the bore of the ring piece 20 forming the stop surfaces 28 is, for example, 0.01 to 0.02 mm larger than the outer clamping diameter of the workpiece to be machined. It is true that the workpiece jacket is also stretched when it is clamped, but this is done to such a small extent that no changes in shape or size can occur that exceed the limits of the permissible tolerances.
