Process for the continuous production, purification and isolation of solutions of peroxydicarbonic acid esters The subject of the main patent is a process for the continuous production of solutions of peroxydicarbonic acid esters of the general formula RO-CO-00-CO-OR, in which R is an optionally chlorine-substituted alkyl or alkenyl group with 1 to 9 carbon atoms be means by reacting chlorocarbonic acid esters of the general.
Formula Cl-CO-OR with hydrogen peroxide and alkali lye at a temperature between -10 and + 30 C, which is characterized in that the reactants are predominantly initially in a first reaction zone in the pH range between 8 and 14 intensive mixing with each other, the dispersion obtained in this way is transferred to a post-reaction zone and the peroxydicarbonic acid ester obtained is absorbed in a hydrogen-free, halogen-containing organic solvent or in a halogen-free hydrocarbon which is liquid under normal conditions.
The cleaning and isolation of the peroxide solution is expediently carried out either gradually in two parallel-connected settling vessels and a downstream washing vessel or continuously in several mixer / separator pairs connected in series.
It has now been found that the purification and isolation of the peroxide solution can be carried out in a technically more advantageous manner if the purification and isolation of the peroxide solution is carried out continuously via a vibrating plate column. A suitable vibrating plate column is shown in the figure. It consists of a vertical cylinder 1 with two separation chambers 2 and 3.
The column is made of suitable material, e.g. B. stainless steel or glass, and is surrounded by a cooling jacket. Perforated plates 5 attached to the shaft 4 serve as mixing elements and are moved vertically up and down. After the halocarbonic acid ester has reacted with sodium hydroxide solution and hydrogen peroxide, the reaction mixture is transferred from the reactor to a sedimentation vessel, where the aqueous salt solution is separated off from the reaction product. The reaction product and the organic solvent are then passed, expediently through separate pipes, into the vibrating plate column.
When using a solvent with a higher specific gravity than water, the reaction product flows through the pipe 7 and the solvent through the pipe 6 and decreases in countercurrent to the entering through the pipe 9, the wash water down. The exchange between the two phases is promoted by the lifting movement of the perforated plates. The percarbonate solution separates from water residues in the calming chamber 3 and flows out through the overflow 10, the height of which is determined by the ratio of aqueous to organic phase in the column.
The washing water flows off through the overflow 11. When using a solvent with a ge lower specific gravity than water, the reaction product flows through line 8, the solvent tel through line 9 and the wash water through line 6. The washed percarbonate solution flows through the overflow 11 and the wash water through the Overflow 10. All supply and discharge lines in which peroxide or the peroxide solution is conveyed are surrounded by a cooling jacket.
The cooling jackets of the countercurrent extraction column and the supply and discharge lines are connected to a cooling system and who are fed with a cold brine from 0 to +5 C.
