Description

Packaging and use thereof It is common practice to pack in heavy paper envelopes and to transport flat or small items by post.

This practice is however not advantageous as soon as the object has a significant thickness since then it protrudes through the packaging, risks causing tearing of the latter and is exposed to shocks through the packaging. packaging.

In addition, it is difficult to use these flat envelopes of the envelope type for storing or folding such objects before dispatch.

Finally, the introduction of these is not always easy since it makes it necessary to keep the lips of the envelope apart during the passage of the object.

The present invention, which obviates the drawbacks to be cited, allows in a particularly simple and economical embodiment the warehouse and possibly the sorting, then rational packaging and sending of objects such as photographic roll negatives and proofs printed on paper.

It therefore firstly relates to a packaging, comprising a sheet having cutouts and folds arranged so as to constitute in the closed state a container having the general shape of a prism, characterized in that these cutouts and these folds define, in the unfolded state of the packaging, a bottom of which two opposite edges are each extended by a folding wall, these two walls constituting the bases of said prism and each being extended by at least one flap having at least one notch, a third edge of the bottom being joined to a folding extension having a window through which are intended to appear, the packaging being closed, patterns,

or inscriptions on the back of that of the flaps against which said extension is folded, means being provided to ensure the cohesion and closure of the packaging. It also relates to the use of this packaging for the temporary storage and transport of pellets and photographic prints, characterized in that said flaps being, initially, joined by their notches and the packaging, thus forming a storage compartment being suspended by the extension of its bottom, the various objects to be packed are successively stored therein and, in a second step, the packaging containing these objects is assembled and closed by folding down, under said extension , that of the flaps of the tines to carry the reference allowing its routing.

The present invention will be better understood by referring to the appended drawing which shows, by way of example, an embodiment thereof and in which FIG. 1 is a plan view of the unfolded package; fig. 2 shows the partially assembled package; fig. 3 a first mode of use of the packaging and, FIGS. 4 and 5, respectively in profile and in front of the packaging according to a second mode of use thereof.

Referring first to FIG. 1, the packaging is cut, for example with a punch, from a sheet of thin cardboard.

It comprises a rectangular bottom (1), each of the long sides (2) and (3) of which is extended by the isosceles triangular sectors (4) and. (5) whose bases (6) and (7) carry legs (8 ) and (9) which, thanks to their notches (81) and @ (91) intended to cooperate, ensure the cohesion of the packaging.

The other sides (21) and (31) of the triangular sectors (4) and (5) each carry a flap (10) and (11) whose width is equal to that of the bottom (1) and which are intended for be folded down, one above the other above this bottom. Each of these flaps (10) and (11) has a notch (101), (11l) whose role will appear later.

One of the short sides of the bottom (1) is extended by a rectangular appendage (12) carrying a perforation (13) while the other short side is extended by a rectangular part (14) constituting when the packaging is assembled, one of the faces of it.

This rectangular piece adjoins a folding extension (15) pierced with a window (16) and in turn lengthened by a rectangular appendage (17) pierced with a hole (18).

Fig. 3 shows the first phase of the use of this packaging mounted in a storage compartment and ready to successively receive the various objects intended to be packaged.

In this position, the packaging is suspended for example against a partition (19) by a nail (20) not healthy through the orifice (18).

The tabs (8) and (9) are left open and the appendix (12) as well as the flaps (10) and (11) are folded down and the latter two fit together thanks to the notches (101) and (111) while the lower corner of the flap (10) engages a slot (22) made in the corresponding corner of the flap (11).

To close the packaging, it suffices as shown in fig. 2 to assemble the legs (8) and (9) and to fold down the flaps (10) and (11) then to fold back over the whole the folding extension (15) and to lock the packaging by a closing pin connecting the orifices (13) and (18).

In its closed form, the packaging is presented as shown in Figs. 4 and 5.

On the back of each of the flaps (10) and (11) may appear the address of the sender alternately of the recipient, for example those of the suppliers and the customer respectively. Depending on whether one wishes to mention one or the other of these addresses, it is the flap <B> (</B> 10) or (I1) which will be closed above. The window (16) will show this address as shown in fig. 5.

This packaging is particularly practical for photographers who can in the position shown in fig. 3 use to temporarily store the proofs as well as the films, then to send them to the customer. It is understood that this use is not, however, by limitation and can be used for a wide variety of uses.
