Process for the production of aluminum-plastic composite bodies Aluminum-plastic composite panels have remarkable properties for constructions in the building industry and this vehicle, ship and aircraft loupe. Compared to or full metal plate, they have the advantage that they:
: have the same rigidity, have a significantly lower weight and are also cheaper. Previously, panels of this type were produced in a stack of 3-4 mm with a plastic core and two cover sheets, each about 0.3 mm thick.
A thermoplastic, namely polyethylene, was used as the core material, so that the composite panels could still be deformed after manufacture.
However, these composite panels have two disadvantages: The Thermopl: astle have: a grooved @ creep strength and the deformation of the composite panels is more difficult,
that the aluminum sheets have to be brought to maximum strength values before they are connected to the plastic and thus also before deformation, or only soft sheets can be used while maintaining good deformability.
The invention now relates to a method for the manufacture of: composite bodies made of aluminum and: a plastic and is characterized in that at least one sheet metal is made from a .by solution annealing,
Quenching and hot cantilevers hardenable aluminum alloy in the solution annealed and quenched state with a single layer of a still in the thermoplastic state,
The curable plastic is connected and the composite plate is heated by wind for simultaneous curing of the aluminum sheet and the plastic.
This process makes it possible to utilize the high strength values of hardenable aluminum alloys and hardenable plastics in composite bodies that are nevertheless easily deformable during manufacture.
The aluminum alloys are those of the types Al'MgSi, AlCuMg, AlZnMg:
or A1ZnMgCu in question, which can be cured at temperatures above 100 C, i. H.
at temperatures, at idanen (also harden the curable plastics .. They are used in the form of sheets, preferably in a thickness of 0.2-1 mm. The sheets are solution annealed and quenched and then according to the processes customary for these alloys The metal sheets can also be preformed and z.
B. be connected in a profiled form with the plastic. The plastic layer can be connected to an aluminum alloy sheet on one or both sides.
The curable plastic must be in the Her position of the composite body still in a thermoplastic, d. H. are not yet fully cured, so that the verb-and-plate initially produced can be deformed if necessary and the plastic and aluminum layer achieve the maximum strength values through joint hardening. Such plastic wind z.
B. certain polyester resins that polymerize together with monomers by the action of heat and: can be hardened. The plastics based on diallyl phthalate are particularly suitable. The allyl esters of polybasic acids, such as.
B. diallyl phthalate, through incomplete polymerization in a solvent, form a prepolymer which, when mixed with polymerizable monomers such as styrene, diallyl phthalate and others:
thermoplastic mass results, which hardens when exposed to heat.
The thickness of the plastic layer is preferably 1-8 mm. The layer can be strengthened by previously introduced inserts such as wire inserts, fiberglass fabric, etc., ver.
Known methods can be used to achieve the necessary adhesion between plastic and aluminum. The aluminum surface to be bonded can be roughened or provided with a suitable adhesive layer by chemical means or coated with an adhesive.
The plastic layer can also be provided with an adhesive layer, or an adhesive film can be inserted between the plastic and aluminum. Combinations of these known methods are also possible.
The composite panel produced by pressing together aluminum sheet and plastic can be cured as sol surface or initially deformed, for. B. by bending, deep drawing sw., And then iaus- be hardened. In the case of composite panels with aluminum sheets that cure at room temperature, the deformation is carried out before the progressive cold curing prevents it.
