Vertical drilling and milling machine The subject of the present invention is a vertical drilling machine with a foot and a rigidly attached stand, with a clamping table, one on the stand in the direction of the X and Y axes displaceable spindle bracket and one in the spindle bracket in the direction of the Z axis movable tool spindle.
Vertical drilling or milling machines generally have the advantage that the work pieces to be machined and the control elements of the machine are more easily accessible to the operator than with horizontal drilling or milling machines. They also have smaller dimensions, which enables the machine to be set up in a more space-saving manner.
In the vertical drilling machines, the tool spindle is usually ver slidable in the vertical Z-axis, while the generally horizontally angeord Neten clamping tables can be moved in the direction of the horizontal X and Y axes. In order to enlarge the working range of the machines, the most varied of combinations have become known with regard to the displaceability of the tool spindle or the clamping table in the direction of the coordinates X, Y and Z. It has also become known to design the hori zontal working table or the tool spindle so that it can pivot about the Z-axis, the last-mentioned embodiment being known as a radial drilling machine.
These vertical drilling machines of known type are for the execution of parallel holes in Rich direction of the Z-axis, z. B. countries with flat machine signs, extremely useful. However, if the bores are to be made in the walls of prismatic or cylindrical hollow bodies of medium size, the workpiece must be clamped anew on the clamping table for each bore parallel to the Z-axis. To avoid this, angle attachments have become known which are rigidly attached to the clamping table and which in turn have a clamping plate rotatable about a horizontal axis on which the prismatic or cylindrical workpiece is clamped with its longitudinal axis parallel to the axis of rotation of the clamping plate.
This makes it possible to set the drilling points in the workpiece wall parallel to the Z axis by rotating the clamping plate. Such additional devices have the disadvantage that the clamping of the workpiece is not stable enough. This disadvantage has a particular effect when the drilling is carried out with a force application that is asymmetrical to the axis of rotation of the cutting tool. Furthermore, the working area of the machine is restricted by an angle attachment.
The machining of medium-sized, cylindrical or prismatic hollow bodies on horizontal boring mills, on the other hand, is extremely laborious, time-consuming and consequently expensive.
The purpose of the present invention is to create a vertical drilling machine with a large working area for processing prismatic and cylindrical bodies of medium size, which also enables the use of cutting tools with asymmetric force application.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the clamping surface of the clamping table is arranged parallel to the Z-axis and that the clamping table is rigidly connected to an axis of rotation perpendicular to the clamping surface, which is rotatably mounted in the stand parallel to the X-axis, whereby the tool spindle and / or the clamping table can be moved in the direction of the Z-axis.
The invention is explained by way of example with the aid of the accompanying schematic drawing. 1 shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in a perspective view and FIG. 2 shows a section along the line II-II.
According to FIG. 1, a stand 2 is rigidly connected to a stationary foot 1. The stand 2 has at its upper end two parallel guides 3, only one of which is visible. In the guides 3, a spindle head carrier 5 is slidably mounted in the direction of the X-axis.
The spindle head carrier 5 has parallel to the Y-axis guides 6 and 7, in which a spin delkopf 8 is displaceable in the direction of the Y-axis Gela Gert. In the spindle head 8 is in the direction of the Z-axis, i. H. a tool spindle 9 is mounted displaceably in the vertical direction. It is obvious to a person skilled in the art to arrange the tool spindle 9 in the spindle head 8 only rotatable and not displaceable in the Z-axis, as is customary with milling machines. By means not shown, the spindle head carrier 5, the spindle head 8 and optionally the tool spindle 9 can be moved by motor or by hand to control the machine relative to each other in the direction of the X, Y and possibly Z axes.
As can be seen from Fig. 2, the stand 2 has two vertical columns 2a and 2b which limit a space 10 inter mediate. On the stand 2 two ver vertical guides 11 are arranged, on which a Trä gerplatte 12 is mounted vertically. With the support plate 12, a tubular bearing body 13 is firmly connected, at both ends of which a Wälzla ger 14 and 15 is arranged. In the bearings 15 and 16, a rotation axis 16 is superimposed parallel to the X axis, the front end of which is rigidly connected to a clamping table 17, which has a vertical Aufspannflä surface 17a.
In the support plate 12, clamping levers 18 are rotatably mounted, the clamping heads 19 of which grip into a corresponding annular groove 20 in the clamping table 17, in such a way that in an end position of the clamping lever 18 the clamping table 17 is pressed against the support plate 12. Are the clamping levers 18 in derje nigen end position in which the clamping heads 19 release the clamping table 17, this is held with the axis of rotation 16 freely rotatable in the bearings 14 and 15. A cylindrical or prismatic work piece, in the walls of which holes are to be made, is preferably clamped with its longitudinal axis approximated coaxially to the axis of rotation 16 on the mounting surface 17a.
The drilling points provided in the walls can be turned towards the tool inserted in the spindle 9 by rotating the clamping table 17. It is obvious to the person skilled in the art to arrange an angle scale and / or a locking device on the carrier plate 1.2 so that after a certain angle of rotation, such as. B. 90 degrees, the clamping table 17 is automatically locked.
In order to enlarge the working area of the machine, the bearing body 13 is placed on a spindle 21 rotatably mounted in the stand 2. By rotating the spindle 21 of the clamping table 17 with the carrier plate 12 is moved along the slideways 11 in the vertical direction. According to an embodiment not shown, it is possible, with a tool spindle 9 displaceable in the direction of the Z-axis, to arrange the bearing body 13 in the stand 2 in such a way that the clamping table 17 cannot be displaced in the direction of the Z-axis.
The upper horizontal surface of the foot 1 is analogous to the clamping table 17 provided with grooves 22, so that there is the possibility of clamping large workpieces if necessary, as in the vertical drilling machines of known type on a horizontal clamping table.
On the vertical mounting surface, a not shown elbow, which in turn has a hori zontal mounting surface, can be attached. As a result, the machine described here can be used like a vertical drilling or milling machine.
