Description

  

  Fliese         Üblicherweise    werden für die     Verfliesung    von Wän  den drei Arten von Fliesen verwendet, und zwar:  a) Fliesen mit im rechten Winkel zur Hauptfläche ste  henden Kantenflächen, welche nicht glasiert sind,  b) Fliesen mit einer abgerundeten und glasierten Kan  tenfläche und  e) Fliesen mit zwei     aneinanderstossenden,    abgerundeten  und glasierten Kantenflächen.  



  Es ist nun sehr schwierig, abzuschätzen, wieviel man  von den Sorten b und c bei einer bestimmten Menge von  der Sorte a benötigt, weil das Verhältnis bei den ver  schiedenen Baueinheiten stark wechselt.  



  Den Gegenstand der     Erfindung    bildet eine Fliese,  mit welcher das erwähnte Problem gelöst ist, und zwar  ist dies dadurch erreicht, dass nur eine einzige Sorte von  Fliesen mit zur     Hauptfläche    im rechten     Winkel    stehen  den ebenen Kantenflächen erzeugt wird, wobei jedoch  zwei     aneinanderstossende    von den vier vorhandenen  Kantenflächen mit einer Glasur versehen sind. Mit Flie-         sen    dieser Art kann man sämtliche     vorkommenden    Ar  beiten ausführen, so dass sie die oben erwähnten Sor  ten a, b und c     vollkommen    ersetzen.

   Es zeigt sich, dass  die glasierten und nicht abgerundeten Kantenflächen  keineswegs als weniger schön empfunden werden als ab  gerundete Kanten, so dass es auch vom ästhetischen  Standpunkt aus keinen Nachteil bedeutet, auf diese bis  her gewohnten Abrundungen zu verzichten. Der wirt  schaftliche Vorteil einer solchen einzigen Fliesensorte  ist dagegen sehr gross.

  The subject of the invention is a tile with which the mentioned problem is solved, and this is achieved in that only a single type of tile is produced with the flat edge surfaces at right angles to the main surface, but with two abutting of the four existing edge surfaces are provided with a glaze. Tiles of this type can be used to carry out all kinds of work, so that they completely replace the types a, b and c mentioned above.

   It turns out that the glazed and non-rounded edge surfaces are by no means perceived as less beautiful than rounded edges, so that, from an aesthetic point of view, there is no disadvantage in doing without these previously familiar rounded edges. The economic advantage of such a single type of tile, however, is very great.
