Circuit arrangement for contactless monitoring of consumer circuits The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for contactless monitoring of consumer circuits, in particular for monitoring the circuits of lights on motor vehicles.
Such monitoring is desirable in many cases. In the case of motor vehicles in particular, the failure of a lamp, which the driver cannot detect, can lead to hazards.
Monitoring devices are known in which a relay is switched on in each line to be monitored, the armature of which drops out when the current in this line fails, whereby a contact is actuated which closes the circuit of a monitoring lamp. Since the monitoring device in motor vehicles is exposed to constant vibrations, this circuit using contacts can cause incorrect displays or the failure of the desired display.
There is also already a contactless monitoring circuit known, in which, however, the monitoring of the circuits only after connecting these circuits to the power source, z. B. the battery is possible.
The invention is based on the object of creating a monitoring circuit which operates without contact and which is both insensitive to vibrations and also enables the monitoring of non-switched circuits. Furthermore, each consumer circuit can be monitored individually and any errors that occur should be displayed in such a way that the faulty circuit can be identified immediately. When monitoring the lighting circuits of motor vehicles, this has the advantage that errors that occur can be detected even when the vehicle is at a standstill and during the day, i.e. when the lighting is not switched on.
The circuit arrangement for the contactless monitoring of consumer circuits, in particular the circuits of lights on motor vehicles, which is used to solve these tasks, is characterized in that an oscillator is connected to the supply voltage of the consumer circuits, the oscillation frequency of which deviates from the frequency of the voltage of the consumer circuits that funds are provided
which feed the output voltage of the oscillator to the consumer circuit to be monitored and the monitoring circuit and that the consumer circuit, which is low at the oscillator frequency, is switched on as a load on the oscillator.
In this circuit arrangement, an alternating current is generated using the supply current source of the consumer circuit, which is fed to the consumer circuit and the monitoring circuit at the same time. Since the consumer circuit for this alternating current is low-impedance and connected as a load on the oscillator, an alternating current from the oscillator cannot flow in the monitoring circuit as long as the consumer circuit is closed. If this consumer circuit is interrupted, z.
B. by failure of the corresponding light or fuse, the load on the oscillator is canceled and the voltage now generated by the oscillator is fed to the monitoring circuit, so that an alternating current flows in this circuit, which is through a display lamp, z. B. a glow lamp can be displayed.
The means that couple the output voltage of the oscillator into the consumer circuit and the monitoring circuit are useful, Wick lungs of a transformer.
In this case, the consumer circuit forms, as long as it is closed, almost a short circuit of one transformer winding, so that no voltage can occur on the transformer winding connected to the monitoring circuit. If this short circuit is eliminated, e.g. B. when the filament of a lamp to be monitored is interrupted, the oscillator voltage is fed into the winding connected to the monitoring circuit, so that an indicator lamp in this circuit lights up.
The oscillator is preferably transistorized, so that it only has a low power consumption of its own; it can expediently be operated as a blocking oscillator.
In a motor vehicle, the consumer circuits are generally closed by a switch in the ignition lock and an on / off switch. In order to enable monitoring even when the lighting is switched off, an alternating current resistance is connected to the consumer circuit that is low at the oscillator frequency, but high at the frequency of the consumer circuit.
with respect to the voltage source derived from the oscillator in series and with respect to the supply voltage of the consumer circuit is parallel to the consumer circuit.
The switching elements are expediently accommodated in a housing and cast together with cast resin. This housing can be provided with a connector strip to which the lines leading from the circuit are connected. The potting compound protects the circuit against the ingress of moisture and prevents vibrations at individual soldering points. The connector strip enables the device to be inserted and replaced easily.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to three exemplary embodiments shown in the drawings.
In the circuit according to FIG. 1, the battery voltage is supplied via the ignition switch 14. When the switch 14 is closed, the transistor 7 receives its operating voltage via the winding 5 of a transformer and via the resistor 8 and the resistor 9, the other end of which is connected to the negative pole of the voltage source. The emitter of the transistor is connected to a tap on the winding 5 and the collector is connected to the negative pole of the voltage source. The capacity of the feedback capacitor 6 determines the pulse frequency of the oscillator working as a blocking oscillator.
The consumer, e.g. B. a light of a motor vehicle with the lamp 1 is connected to one terminal with the negative pole of the battery, while the other terminal via the fuse 2, the secondary winding 3 of the transformer, the light switch 15 and the ignition switch 14 to the positive pole Battery is connected. This circuit is bridged from switch 15 to the negative pole of the voltage source with an electrolytic capacitor 4 of high capacity. This circuit loads the winding 3 of the transformer in such a way that there is little or no voltage on the winding 10.
On the winding 10 of the transformer of the monitoring circuit with the glow lamp 13 is connected. The alternating voltage supplied by the oscillator is rectified at the winding 10 via the rectifier 12. The resistor 11 and the capacitors Kon 10a and 10b serve as filter elements.
This circuit works as follows: When the ignition lock switch 14 is closed, a current flows from the battery via the winding 5 of the transformer and the resistors 8 and 9. As a result, the transistor 7 receives operating voltage. The oscillator works as a blocking oscillator, the frequency of the oscillations generated being determined by the capacitor 6. The load on the transformer from the consumer circuit is independent of whether the switch 15 is open or closed, since the consumer circuit is bridged by the capacitor 4.
Closing the switch 15 only has the effect that the lamp 1 is supplied with direct current from the battery so that it lights up according to the switch position.
If the lamp 1 fails, z. B. by the fact that the filament burns, or the fuse 2 burns when overloaded, the load on the carrier drops away, and an alternating voltage is present on the winding 10, which is rectified via the rectifier 12 and the filter chain 11, 10a , 10b is smoothed. The glow lamp 13 ignites, so that it can be seen from the lighting of this glow lamp that the consumer circuit has failed.
In the circuit according to FIG. 2, an incandescent lamp 16 is connected as a control lamp in the collector circuit of the transistor 7. The transistor receives its operating voltage from the battery via the closed ignition switch 14, the winding 5 of the carrier and the resistors 8 and 9. The feedback capacitor 17 together with the inductance of the winding 5 determines the frequency of the oscillator. The control lamp 16 is in the output circuit, in this case in the collector circuit of the transistor 7.
The series circuit of the capacitor 17 and the incandescent lamp 16 is connected in parallel to the consumer circuit with the winding 3 of the transformer, the fuse 2 and the lamp 1. This dampens the feedback circuit so that the oscillator cannot start to oscillate. If lamp 1 or fuse 2 fails, the attenuation is canceled and the oscillator begins to oscillate. The resulting alternating output current is displayed by the control lamp, since alternating current can flow through the capacitor 17.
A further embodiment of the circuit arrangement is shown in FIG.
The transistor oscillator 25 acts as a Sperrschwin ger, which swings in a certain rhythm. The onset and break-off of the oscillations is determined by the electrolytic capacitor 20, which thus defines the time sequence of this oscillation onset (pulse repetition rate).
The voltage generated by the oscillator 25 is fed via the output transformer 19 to the capacitors 21, 32, 33, 34 and, if desired, further capacitors. Each of these capacitors is connected to a transformer. This circuit arrangement is for the capacitor 21 in detail Darge provides. The capacitor 21 is connected to one end of the winding 24 of the transformer 18. The other winding end is led to the output transformer 19 of the oscillator.
A series circuit consisting of the lamp 22 to be monitored, the fuse 23 and the electrolytic capacitor 26 is connected to the winding 27 of the transformer 18. The lamp 22 also receives direct current from a battery which is connected to the terminals 36 and 37. This direct voltage is supplied to the lamp 22 via the ignition switch 30 and the light switch 31. The capacitor 26 lies between the connection point 35 of the light switch 31 with the winding 27 and the terminal 37, so that an alternating current fed in from the winding 27 can flow regardless of whether the switches 30 and 31 are open or closed. A glow lamp 29 is connected to the winding 28 of the transformer 18.
As long as an alternating current can flow in the circuit connected to the winding 27, the glow lamp 29 cannot ignite because the circuit formed by the lamp 22 and the fuse 23 and the capacitor 26 has a low resistance and therefore the carrier 18 is so strong loaded that the voltage drop occurring on the capacitor 21 is significantly greater than the voltage occurring on the winding 24. However, if the circuit at the winding 27 is interrupted, z. B. by the fact that the lamp 22 burns out, the load on the transformer 18 is removed because no more current can flow in the circuit connected to the winding 27.
As a result, the voltage on the winding 24 and thus also on the winding 28 increases, and the glow lamp 29 receives a voltage sufficient to ignite in the rhythm generated by the blocking oscillator oscillator. The glow lamp 29 therefore lights up at regular intervals.
If the oscillator has a sufficiently high internal resistance, the capacitors 21, 32, 33, 34 etc. can be dispensed with, so that the monitoring circuits can be connected directly to the output of the oscillator.
Blocking oscillator oscillators can be given a high internal resistance in a manner known per se in that they are built up with flat transistors in an emitter-base circuit and the output voltage is taken from the collector. 2.
