Wall bracket The subject of the present invention is a wall bracket, as it can be used, for example, to support heating radiators and which has a vertical flange with two holes lying one above the other for the passage of bolts to be fixed in the wall and a support arm protruding from the vertical flange between the holes.
A major disadvantage of known wall brackets of this type is that their vertical flange has round holes corresponding to the diameter of the fastening bolts; once one of these wall holes for anchoring the fastening bolts has been drilled, the position of the console is finally determined and a height correction of this position is no longer possible. The assembly of the console must therefore be carried out very carefully.
In itself it would be conceivable to design the holes in the vertical flange as elongated holes, so that a limited vertical displacement of the bracket would still be possible after drilling the wall holes and inserting the bolts. However, this would not achieve an absolutely firm anchoring of the console on the wall, since the console could move under load even after the fastening bolts, which are usually designed as screws, have been tightened.
The disadvantages mentioned are avoided with the wall bracket according to the invention; For this purpose it is characterized in that in the upper hole of the bracket flange, designed as a vertical slot, a sleeve serving for the passage of the fastening bolt is vertically adjustable, which is provided with a support plate serving as a support for the bolt head The surface facing the console flange has a horizontally running toothing which engages with a corresponding toothing of the console flange.
This type of construction allows the following easy-to-carry out assembly: After drilling the upper wall hole, the fastening bolt (expediently a head screw to be anchored in the wall hole with a dowel) is inserted through the sleeve inserted into the vertical slot of the console flange into the wall hole; the console is now brought to the correct height and the sleeve flange is locked into the teeth of the console flange. Then the second wall hole is drilled through the lower bracket flange hole; only now (and not already when drilling the first wall hole) is the height of the console fixed and the lower fastening bolt can be used to definitely attach the console to the wall.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the wall bracket according to the invention is shown in vertical section.
The wall bracket shown has a vertical flange 1 and a support arm 2. Above the support arm 2, a vertical slot 3 is provided in the flange 1, while below the support arm 2 there is a round hole 4 which is widened conically on the front side of the console flange 1. The front side of the edge part of the slot 3 in the bracket flange 1 is provided with a horizontal toothing 5 with which a corresponding toothing 6 on the edge flange 7a of a sleeve 7 is in engagement. The outside diameter of the sleeve 7 seated in the slot 3 corresponds to the width of the slot 3. The sleeve bore is conically widened outward in the flange 7a.
The sleeve 7 is used to receive a threaded bolt 15, the head of which can be supported in the edge flange 7a of the sleeve. Another sleeve 9 is intended for use in the lower round hole 4 of the bracket flange 1; this sleeve 9 has a head 9a which fits into the enlarged part of the hole 4 and has a transverse slot 10 for applying a screwdriver. Furthermore, a shoulder 11 is provided on the sleeve circumference, which when the sleeve 9 is inserted into the hole 4 on the back of the console flange

sches 1 is applied and thus secures the sleeve against undesired leakage from the hole 4.
The wall of the sleeve 9 protruding beyond the rear of the console flange 1 is further weakened by longitudinal slots 12 so that it is spread apart when a threaded bolt is inserted and thereby pressed against the perforated wall. When assembling the bracket described, the arm 2 of which is used to support a heating radiator, the following procedure is followed: First, the upper wall hole 13 is drilled at the at least approximately correct height and a dowel 14 is inserted into it (flush with the wall). The console is then mounted on the wall by means of a head bolt 15 and the sleeve 7.
The bolt 15 is only fully tightened (and thus the teeth 6 of the sleeve 7 are brought into firm engagement with the teeth 5 of the console flange 1) when the console is in its correct position (within the play given to it by the vertical slot 3) Altitude is brought. Such a precise adjustment of the console is particularly important where two or more analog consoles have to be brought into precise horizontal alignment. After the bolt 15 has been tightened, the wall bore 16 can be drilled through the lower hole 4 of the bracket flange 1 and then the stud bolt 17 (expediently with the dowel attached) inserted into it.
Then the sleeve 9 is inserted into the hole 4 and screwed onto the stud bolt 17. The sleeve part protruding beyond the console flange 1 comes to rest in the wall bore 16 and ensures proper support of the console on the wall; a breaking of the wall bore 16 under the pressure load occurring here is avoided. The parts 7 and 9 are suitably made of plastic z. B. a polyamide. The sleeve 9 does not need to be provided with a thread, since the stud bolt 17 cuts its own thread in the plastic material. The sleeve 9 with its shoulder 11 holds the console in its correct vertical position even if the console flange is only slightly against the wall.
