Method and device for the packaging of continuously accumulating fiber cables or ribbons
The invention relates to a method for packaging continuously accumulating fiber cables or ribbons, in which zigzag layers of the fiber cable or ribbon are produced in a container with the aid of reciprocating mechanisms and these are then pressed, as well as a Device for carrying out the method.
When packaging continuously accumulating fiber cables or ribbons, it is important in the interest of subsequent, smooth further processing that the cable or ribbon is placed very evenly in a container. This problem could be solved by the use of reciprocating loading devices. It is usually worked with two mutually perpendicular back and forth movements, which are carried out in one direction by the container, in the other by the filling funnel, or both by the filling funnel or by the container alone.
In order to achieve an economical filling weight, pressing is then carried out after several layers have been introduced, which has previously been done partly by hand, but partly also by machine.
In the methods known up to now for packing continuously accumulating fiber cables or ribbons, the insertion process is interrupted during the mechanical pressing. In the case of continuous operation of the cable or tape production, this means that intermediate stacking or intermediate storage of the cable or tape is necessary. The disadvantage of intermediate stacking is that the insertion pauses that arise have to be compensated for by high insertion speeds, which is particularly important when the production plant is traveling at high speeds, as is the case with B. is necessary in the production of synthetic Faste} n, has an adverse effect on the insertion process. The intermediate filing can, for.
B. in the designed as a container and provided with a hinged bottom press-in ram. The disadvantage of this mode of operation is that warping easily occurs when the interposed material slides down.
The purpose of the invention is to create a method and a device which do not have these disadvantages.
The method according to the invention is characterized in that at the end of each to and fro movement of the container the inserted fiber cable or
tape is pressed into one half of the container, while the other half of the container continues to be inserted. It is expedient to carry out the pressing-in after the double layer of the fiber cable or ribbon has been introduced into the container halves.
The advantage of the method according to the invention is that the fiber cable or ribbon is packaged evenly, which means that a more economical filling weight can be achieved. In addition, fewer operating personnel are required to carry out the packaging method according to the invention. Another advantage of the method according to the invention is that strips of large width can also be automatically pressed in.
The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method according to the invention, with a device perpendicular to the cable or. Band inflow direction and an insertion funnel moved back and forth in the direction perpendicular to the flow direction and the funnel movement direction, which is characterized in that a press-in punch is arranged on each side of the insertion funnel, and that the press-in movements of the press-in punches in the manner with the To and fro movements of the container are coupled so that the pressing-in movement of a respective punch takes place at the end of each to-and-fro movement.
The press-in stamps on the cable or Provide the tape feed side with deflecting surfaces so that the material to be filled cannot get onto the stamp.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.
The insertion device consists of an insertion funnel 1 which is moved back and forth perpendicular to the direction of travel of the sliver and inserts the continuous band 2 layer upon layer over the entire length of the container. The container 3 inserted in an exchangeable carriage is moved transversely to the direction of travel of the sliver, as a result of which the fiber sliver 2 is distributed evenly over the entire width of the container.
Two press rams 4 are arranged above the container 3 in such a way that the insertion funnel 1 can move between the rams. The width of the stamp is matched to the displacement path C of the container 3, so that a press ram 4 can be inserted into the container 3 for pressing in each end position of the container displacement. The width of the press-in punches 4 is dimensioned in such a way that the press-in surfaces intersect in the middle of the container. The press-in punches 4 have deflection surfaces 5 on the material feed side, so that no material can get onto the punch during the pressing-in process. The control of the punch movements is coupled with the container movement and locked in such a way that the container movement stops during the pressing process.
To avoid accidents, the device is provided with a protective hood 6. When opening this hood, z. B. when changing the container, the back and forth movement and thus the pressing device is put out of operation.
The method and the device according to the invention can be used for fiber cables and ribbons made of various synthetic materials such as polyester, polyamides, polyolefins and polyacrylic mitril, as well as of other materials.
