Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man N-substituierte 2-Alkyl'tnercapto-4,6-bis-amino-s-triazine durch Umset zung der entsprechenden N-substituierten 2-Halogen-4,6- bis-amino-s-triazine in wässrigem Medium bei Tempera turen über 90 C bei Normaldruck mit A;
Grössere Mengen an Alkalisulfiden bzw.
Process for the preparation of N-substituted 2-alkylmereapto-4,6-bis-amino-s-triazines The invention relates to a new process for the preparation of N-substituted 2-alkylmercapto-4,6-bis-amino-s-triazines .
So far, various syntheses for the preparation of N-substitute alkyl mercaptotriazines from the corresponding halotriazines have been described in the literature. In French Patent No. 697 599, inter alia, reactions of halotriazine derivatives with sodium sulfide or Na trium polysulfide are listed.
However, the corresponding disulfide compounds are initially formed, which can then be reduced to the mercaptotriazines either by adding further amounts of sodium sulphide or by using zinc dust and sodium hydroxide solution. Furthermore, from German patent specification number <B> 1 </B> 020 982, the conversion of 2-chloro-4,6-bis-aminotriazine or the corresponding alkylamino derivatives by alkali hydrogen sulfide in an alcoholic medium in a closed vessel at temperatures of 130 known up to 140 C.
The corresponding alkyl mercapto compound can then be prepared by one of the known alkylation methods. To do this, however, the mercapto connection must first be separated and cleaned in a more or less laborious manner.
French Patent No. 1,339,336 describes a process for the preparation of derivatives' et 2-mercapto-4,6-bis-amino-s-triazines by reacting the corresponding 2-halo-4,6-bis-amino @ s -triazines with thiourea and subsequent saponification ben described. However, this process, which leads to very good yields of pure compounds, has the disadvantage of a very large amount of equipment. In addition, the process product is very expensive due to the considerable consumption of chemicals.
It has now been found that N-substituted 2-alkyltnercapto-4,6-bis-amino-s-triazines can be obtained by reacting the corresponding N-substituted 2-halo-4,6-bis-amino-s-triazines in an aqueous medium at temperatures above 90 C at normal pressure with A;
Alkali polysulfides are obtained by first adding one mole of the N-substituted 2-halo-4,6-bis-amino-s-triazine with 0.75 to 1 mole of sodium sulfide with the addition of 0.75 mole of sulfur and about 1 mole of sodium hydroxide an emulsifier and then the resulting solution containing the mercapto compounds is treated in a known manner directly with alkylating agents.
The N-substituted 2-halo-4,6-bis-amino-s-triazine required as the starting product can be prepared in the customary manner from cyanuric chloride and amine in an alkaline medium. For the process according to the invention, the resulting suspension can be used directly, d. H. without separation of the halogen compound, can be used as the starting product.
The inventively Gewäbliten concentrations of sodium sulfide allow an alkylation z. B. with dimethyl sulfate without prior isolation of the corresponding mercapto-bis-aminotriazine to be connected immediately. The method according to the invention offers the great advantage that it can be carried out in one go and in a single reaction vessel in a relatively short time and gives good yields.
This is only possible because the sodium sulfide going into the reaction has been almost completely consumed by the reaction at the time the alkylation agent is added. Larger amounts of alkali sulfides or
As is known, alkali polysulphides are impaired in the reaction with alkylating agents, since this leads to the formation of malodorous by-products and the amounts of alkylating agents used must be increased by this additional consumption.
The amounts of sodium sulfide used in French Patent No. 697 599 are 4 moles of sodium sulfide per mole of halogen compound.
A reduction in this amount was previously only possible, please include if, after the reaction with sodium sulfide, the resulting intermediate product was first added by adding z. B. potassium carbonate precipitates and, after separation and renewed suspension in water, converted into the corresponding mercaptotriazine by alkaline reduction with zinc dust. However, this reaction is very time-consuming and requires greater technical expenditure.
Since the halogen atom in the N-substituted 2-halo-4,6-bis-aminotriazines can only be reacted with difficulty and the reaction is also carried out in a two-phase system, the process according to the invention was not obvious. This synthesis is characterized by its easy technical feasibility with a greatly reduced consumption of sodium sulphide.
The following examples are intended to explain the invention even further without, however, restricting it thereto. The ones in it. parts mentioned are parts by weight.
<I> Example 1 </I> 115 parts of 2-chloro-4,6-bis-isopropylamino-s-triazine are heated with stirring with 64 parts of technical grade sodium sulfide (60%), 12 parts of sulfur, 30 parts of caustic soda in 900 Parts of water with the addition of 2 parts of emulsifier for 6 hours to boiling.
The triazine compound used goes into solution. Any undissolved impurities can be filtered off. After cooling to 30 ° C., 90 parts of dimethyl sulfate are added dropwise over 30 minutes with stirring. To end the reaction, the suspension is subsequently stirred at 30 ° C. for 30 minutes and at 60 ° C. for 1 hour.
After cooling, the precipitated 2-methylmercapto-4,6-bis-isoprorpylamino-s-triazine is filtered off with suction, washed with water and dried at 70.degree. 103 parts of 2-methylmercapto-4,6-bis-isopropylamino-s-triazine with a melting point of 116 to 119 ° C. are obtained.
<I> Example 2 </I> The 2-chloro-4,6-isopropylamino-s-triazine required as starting material is formed in a known manner from 184 parts of cyanuric chloride by adding isopropylamine and sodium hydroxide solution in an aqueous medium.
A is now given to the suspension obtained. Aqueous sodium sulfide solution made from sodium and sulfur containing 152 parts of Na2S2, 120 parts of 50% sodium hydroxide solution and 4 parts of emulsifier. The conversion into 2-methylmercapto-4,6-bis-isopropylamino-s-triazine takes place as indicated in Example 1.
188 parts of 2-methylmercapto-4,6-bis-isopropylamino-s-triacine are obtained.
The melting point is 115 to 118 ° C. Example 3 52 parts of 2-chloro-4,6-bis-ethylamino-s-triazine are suspended in 600 parts of water with the addition of 5 parts of emulsifier. After adding 32 parts of sodium sulphide (60% equivalent), 6 parts of sulfur and 10 parts of caustic soda, the suspension was heated to about 100.degree.
After 3 hours of stirring, a dark-colored solution is obtained. Minor impurities can be sucked off. The etherification then takes place with 50 parts of dimethyl sulfate. The precipitated 2-methylmercapto-4,6-bis-ethylamino-s-triazine is filtered off with suction, washed with water and dried.
The yield is 49 parts with a melting point of 78 to 79 C.
