Method and device for the production of hollow bodies from plastic tubes to be inflated in a mold, in particular for the formation of plastic drums
The invention relates to a method for producing hollow bodies from plastic hoses that blow out in one form, in particular for forming. ng of plastic drums and pulls a device or device that performs the process.
Idas Id, also necessary blowing or pressing tools. The previously known hollow bodies, in particular barrels, made of thermoplastics using the blow molding process, do not suffice for the anòrdings to be attached to them with regard to resistance to mechanical external stresses or to internal pressure or contents.
itat. Up to now it has not been possible to produce, for example, Fesser for the reception and transport of liquids, white beer or the like, with the required wall thickness. Rather, it was necessary to subsequently add the respective containers with reinforcement pads, reinforcement strips or rings or with the necessary Fittings, for example a bung ring, to be provided.
The invention eliminates the shortcomings of the previously known manufacture of such barrels by according to the invention a hose blank to be introduced into a blow mold, preferably made of thermoplastic plastic, such as, for. B. made of polydethylene, for use gleant, which has a larger wall thickness over its length at those points where the hollow body to be manufactured is to withstand greater loads.
Advantageously, during the formation of the immersion, the exit cross-section of the shaping nozzle changes depending on the material supply to the nozzle or vice versa in the manner, Idass, the exit speed of the hose material from the nozzle, constant. remains.
The method according to the invention offers particular advantages in the actual production. Preferably, after the required piece of tubing has been squeezed off in a multi-part, evenly open prel3 or blow mold, the hose blank is blown open, whereupon the multi-part mold, including the blown blank between them, is closed, with a deformation of the already inflated blank. gs takes place in such a way that it is inserted into the angles and corners or cavities formed by or between the molded parts.
Subsequently, it may be necessary to re-blow the blank for the purpose of precise molding of the inside of the mold.
The device for carrying out this new, n process is characterized by a blow and compression mold formed from several parts, the individual parts of which extend so far around a central axis. are arranged mutually so that they can accommodate an axially inserted plastic tube between them, in connection with a blowing nozzle reaching towards the center of the blank and a control device for actuating the molded parts and for switching the blowing flow.
The control device for the actuation of the individual molded parts and the switching device for switching the blowing flow on and off can, depending on each other, be arranged in such a way that the hose nozzles are subsequently imported into the open shape of a radial assembly. The parts forming the bottom of the mold and the top are moved in order to attach the tube blank, to pinch off the ends and to close it, whereupon the blowing current is switched on and the tube is expanded.
Subsequently, or at the same time, the parts forming the mold material can be closed and the mold bottom and mold cover pressed against the mold shell in all directions, whereupon the blow stream is switched on again for the purpose of post-blown and downward-blown molding.
The multi-part blow mold and prel3 mold is preferably arranged under a hose press working with a molding nozzle in such a way that the hose emerging from the nozzle runs directly into the open mold.
The shaping nozzle. The hose press can be equipped with a retractable and extendable core as well as a control device for changing the film core position and controlling the material feed in such a way that, for the purpose of changing the wall, the hose to be formed has a more or less strong extension and exit Retraction, which Diisenkems takes place with appropriate control of the material supply.
With the method according to the invention and the device carrying out this method, the variously shaped hoof bodies, such as barrels, drums or the like, can be produced in a closed working rod, which are located at the points where; special internal or external stresses occur, the wall thickness is so narrowed or reinforced that a smooth interior, which facilitates the finishing of the container, is nevertheless achieved, whereby additional stiffeners are unnecessary.
The inventive idea 1a13t the most diverse implementation possibilities. Some devon are in the drawing attached, namely show:

It can be the different. The next forms of hollow bodies made of thermoplastic material, eg, polyethylene, are produced by blowing in a mold, the shape of which of course has to correspond to the desired design of the hollow body to be braided. In Fig. 1, a Bierfal3 1 is shown in section, which on its outside. curved side and here with. an outer wall 3 reinforced in its middle and an inwardly arched ceiling 4 or an equally shaped floor 5, which has a bung 6 with the bunghole 7.
2 shows another shape of a barrel-like holder 2, the U, circumferential wall 3 'of which has reinforcements 9 or 10 on the outside.
The bottom 4 'is also curved inwardly as the top 5'. The bung 6 'with the bung hole 7' and a hole 8, which can also be designed as a handle, is seated on the latter.
The barrel 1 is formed from a hose blank 11 ge mal3 Fig. 3 and d: the barrel 2 from the blank 11 'according to FIG. A, n the places ,. Where the wall should be thickened after the blow molding process, the blank 11 or 11 'has reinforcements
12 or 12 '.
For the continuous production of the hose blanks 11 a formwork press is provided, as it is shown in FIGS. 5 and 6. In the case of the embodiment of the press according to FIG. 5, a nozzle head 13 is used, into which a nozzle core 14 extends. Dlieser is conical at its front end and sits a. n a piston rod 15 which carries a drive piston 16 on a cylinder 17.
The two piston chambers divided by the piston 16 are connected to a control device 38 via liquid lines 39 and 40. ndlen. Depending on whether the upper or lower chamber of the cylinder 17 is charged with hydraulic fluid, the conical nozzle core 14 is extended and retracted to a greater or lesser extent, thus narrowing or widening the nozzle core. outlet cross-section.
The hollow between the core and the nozzle. aum is about He feeds a fan 37 from a cylinder 34, for example, with polyethylene 36, which can be fed through the hopper 35 at a constant rate.
A press piston 33 works in the cylinder 34 and carries a drive piston 31 on a piston stem 32 that works in the cylinder chamber 30. Here, too, the two chambers split by the piston 31 are connected to a control unit 29 or a pump 26 via separate lines 27, 28, so that the transfer of the plastic compound 36 to be processed into the diisan chamber takes place more or less roughly it can take place at speed or under different pressure.
The control of the adjustment takes place depending on the respective position of the yarn 14, in that a control cam 18 sits on its piston rod 15, which when the nozzle core 14 moves over the cam roller 19, the control plane 20, which is located at 21, and the electrical circuit , which consists of the lines 25 of the battery 24 and de m variable resistance 22, 23, the pump 26 included in the circuit is driven more or less strongly.
In the embodiment of the hose press according to FIG. 6, it is sitting in the shower! head 60 a nozzle core 59 with a piston rod 61 and a piston 62 in the cylinder 63, which is connected via the lines 64 and 65 to pumps 66, 67 or a control device 68. The feeding with plastic compound 36 takes place via the supply line 90 by means of a small conveying corner 86, which works in the housing 87 with the supply funnel 89 and is in turn provided with a piston 88 or 85. The piston 85 works in the working cylinder 84, the piston chambers of which are connected to the pump 81 via the lines 82, 83. The screw conveyor 86 is set in rotation by a rotary drive (not shown).
In addition, it can be moved axially by means of the piston diaphragm 85, 84 and work as a piston.
The device for Verscdheiben the nozzle core 59 and the ground supply 86 work in dependence on each other to continuously. and stuinlos, to bildlen the desired points in the blank switch 11 reinforcement on the inner wall. This device is controlled by the switching disks 77, 78 provided with cams, on which the switching levers 79 and 80 rest, which in turn influence variable temperature levels 71 and 74.
The Wlidlerstaud 71 lies in the switching circuit 69, 70, 72 and 73 of the nozzle control and the resistor 74 in the switching circuit 75 and 76 of the pump 81.
The blow molding and pressing tool is arranged directly below the outlet opening of the hose press. In the embodiment shown, this consists of the two central molded parts 41 and 41 ', the de, nAnl3enmanteldes. Shape to be produced hollow body and are accordingly provided with a shaped recess 42 and 42 '. The blanket formed from the two parts 43 and 43 'sits on the molded parts 41 and 41', which has a curvature facing the inside of the mold and also on the stool with e-. iner pinch edge 44 or 44 'is provided.
The mold base formed from the parts 45 and 45 'sits beneath the' mold center piece 41, 41 ', but has a loose insert 46 or 4, 6' introduced in a wedge-shape from above, which corresponds to the shape of the bung 6 to be provided in the container base or 6 'is used and has a recess 47 for diesel purposes. This merges into a bore 48 which, when the mold is closed, is wrapped around the blow nozzle 58 to be described later.
The mold base composed of the various parts is shown more clearly in FIGS. 13-15. For the movement of the inserts 46 and 46 ′ inserted in a wedge shape from above, the parts 45 and 45 ′ point parallel to one another, all slots 52 in which the elements 46 and 46 ′ with pegs 49 lead. Each of the slots] 52 widens 2U of a chamber 50 in which a widened head 51 seated on the Zpafen 49 is guided. In this way, the parts 46 and 46 'can be lifted out of the south, parts 45 and 45'.
In the raised position, the parts 46 and 46 'move apart. For this purpose, pins 55 provided with pistons 54 are guided in one of the parts in a cylindrical groove 53. Between the piston 54 and a bearing 57 there is a pressure eter 56 with which the pin 55, which rests against the molded piece 46, is torn out of its guide 53 as soon as the bottom parts 45, 45 'are lifted off the inserts 46 and 46 '. It is then the position according to! ib Fig. 14 given.
In Fig. 5 the starting position of the individual parts of the blow mold is reproduced. A hose blank 11, which is thickened in the middle, is introduced into the mold by the hose press, its lower edge being guided over the vertical part of the blowpipe 58.
The hose roll is now squeezed off from the rest of the hose supply in that both the parts 43 and 43 'forming the mold cover and the parts 45 and 45' forming the bottom of the mold move radially against the hose. in the process, Ida's hose material is squeezed off at the upper and lower ends. The insert 46, 47 or 46 'simultaneously forms the bung 6 provided on the outside from the material of the hose. The blowpipe 58 extends through the later bung hole 7 into the interior of the hose.
After the middle part 41, 41 'has also closed, the tube blank is inflated into the shape la according to Fi, -. 8. The material thickenings 12 provided in the inside of the hose are approximately in the form of the middle and form the greater wall thickness required at this point in the finished barrel.
At this moment, the mold bottom 45 and mold top 43 or 45 ′ and 43 ′ are still lifted from the mold, central part 41 and 41 ′. There is now the aial movement of the ceiling and floor and the closing of the mold so that the position of the parts according to FIGS. 9 and 10 is given. Thickness and loden (of the barrel are arched towards the end. This measure is necessary to prevent a reduction in the wall thickness in the corners of the barrel cross-section. This is illustrated in the diagram according to Fig. 7. The blank tube is blown up to the point where it is The desired wall thickness is obtained that it still leaves part a free at the ends of the Fommtitel piece 41 or 41 '.
Likewise, the part 1b of the hose blank is not yet in contact with the roof 43 or 43 ′. If one chooses the dimensions of the shape and the degree of inflation so that the sum of a s and b corresponds to the arc length 1 of the inflated tube, then by placing the blanket 43 or 43 ' also deform the Scaluch blank 11 without any additional baling in such a way that, without changing its wall thickness, it also lies smoothly in the areas a and b on the inner walls of the form.
In order to achieve a clean, complete filling of all form reinforcements, angles or corners, a subsequent baling can be carried out at this moment, so that finally the state according to FIG. 10 is given.
Now you can open the mold after the workpiece has cooled or solidified. First of all, according to FIG. 11, the ceiling 43, 43 'and the floor 45 and 45' are lifted off the mold center piece 41, 41 'in the axial direction. The parts 46, 46 'initially remain hanging on the m * thread inde provided bung 6 until they are so far removed from the mold bottom 45, 45' that the two parts 46 and 46 'are also pressed apart in the radial direction. by means of which pins 55 and spring 56 may be required.
