Fig. 2 einen Längsschnitt durch einen anderen Messkopf.
Measuring device for measuring the diameter of bores
The invention relates to an electrical measuring device for measuring the diameter of bores. The device is particularly suitable for measuring long bores.
The devices used up to now for measuring bores lacked a simple centering that worked for large diameter ranges. With many devices, the measurement accuracy achieved was not sufficient.
The mechanical lever-type measuring devices have the disadvantage that the measured value is transmitted to the display device by means of a stylus via a joint or rack. The following applies to all mechanical measurement transducers: thermal expansion, manufacturing inaccuracies and mechanical wear and tear falsify the measurement result. Centering by means of cantilevers or the like can only be used for certain diameter groups and is largely inadequate. With screw gauges, there is also the fact that individual fluctuations in the measurement result occur due to the measurement pressure being set by the person measuring. The pneumatic measuring devices meet the requirements in terms of accuracy.
However, they require a special mandrel for each hole. The measuring range is small and they are only suitable for control measurements. It is not possible to measure the entire length of the hole. The size of the measuring device and the compressed air connection usually only allow stationary use. Electrical measuring devices usually convert the change into a change in capacitance or induction flux. The measured value transmission is not subject to any thermal expansion and the measured value can be transmitted over longer distances. The previously known devices have only a small measuring path, insofar as they are based on a change in the air gap. Devices based on the displacement of a core of a coil have a larger measuring range, but changes to the electrical zero point once calibrated cannot be made.
Centering devices were used for electrical devices as for mechanical and pneumatic measuring devices.
The electrical measuring devices are mostly sensitive to handling and were therefore only used in special cases.
The invention makes it possible to create a measuring device which eliminates the disadvantages of the previously existing devices, namely insufficient measuring accuracy, transmission errors due to thermal expansion and mechanical joints, and which has a centering that can be used for a large range of bore diameters.
Embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing. Show in it:
1 shows a longitudinal section through a measuring head on an enlarged scale,
2 shows a longitudinal section through another measuring head.
In the measuring head shown in FIG. 1, the displacement of the probe pin b is transmitted via the balls c to the sleeve d guided in part h. With the aid of the spring f, the feeler pin or the sleeve is held in the maximum position and the measuring pressure is generated.
At the same time, the spring f serves to fix the balls e of the second feeler pin mounting and to prevent the feeler pin from falling out. The movement of the feeler pin is transmitted with the aid of the connection k to the magnetic pin i, which is guided in parallel in part o. The magnetic flux generated in the middle coil m by applying an alternating voltage is transmitted to the two measuring coils 1 and n. By changing the two air gaps, the magnetic resistance is increased in one magnetic circuit and decreased in the other, with the result that the induced voltage is increased in one coil and decreased in the other. The induced voltages are sent to a measuring circuit in which a moving coil measuring device, which has a scale calibrated in units of length, shows the displacement of the probe pin.
By adjusting the counter bolt g or by exchanging the bolt, different diameters can be set. The centering of the probe pin b takes place through its rotatability and through the two balls or peaks a. If the measuring device is inserted into the bore, the feeler pin b experiences a moment via the balls a which establishes the parallelism of the straight line connecting the ball contact points with the bore wall and the longitudinal axis of the bore.
This three-point centering adjusts to the size of the bore and allows the measured values to be read off reliably.
In the measuring head shown in FIG. 2, in contrast to the measuring head according to FIG. 1, the feeler pin is mounted in the magnetic pin 5 serving as an anchor. The displacement of the feeler pin 1 is transmitted to the magnet pin 5 without play via the balls 6. The balls 7 are fixed with the aid of the spring 8. The spring also prevents the feeler pin from falling out; the balls 7 result in a second mounting of the feeler pin. The compression spring 4 is used to set the maximum value and presses on the feeler pin via the pressure plate 3 and the balls 2.
The magnetic flux generated in the middle coil 12 by applying an alternating voltage is transmitted to the two measuring coils 11 and 15. By changing the two air gaps between the poles 10 and 16 and the magnetic bolt, the magnetic resistance is increased in one magnetic circuit and decreased in the other, with the result that the induced voltage is increased in one coil and decreased in the other. The voltages induced in the measuring coils are transmitted via the line 13 in the pipe 14 to a measuring circuit in which a moving coil measuring device, which has a scale calibrated in units of length, indicates the displacement of the feeler pin. By adjusting the counter bolt 9 or by replacing the bolt, different diameters can be set. The ability to rotate the probe pin without balls is enough to center the measuring device.
Then, however, back and forth movements must be carried out in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the hole in order to be able to read off the maximum size of the hole. This design is recommended for large bores, since the restoring moment that occurs here is extremely small; however, in the case of large bores, the measurement error resulting from incorrect centering is also smaller.
The measuring circuit is designed so that t / loo and 9 / logo mm can be read. The measuring range is 1 mm.
The measuring device described above is a versatile device that is particularly suitable for measuring long bores. With the devices available up to now, this was usually associated with great difficulties, if it wasn't even impossible to measure long bores. Thanks to its stable construction and quick centering, the device is superior to all conventional electrical internal measuring devices. Its centering surpasses that of mechanical devices. The large measuring range and its arbitrary gradation also allow bores to be measured in individual production with an accuracy of '/ logo mm. If the device is used for control purposes in series production, the tedious checking of dimensional accuracy with limit plug gauges can be omitted.
In the case of larger quantities, the electrical part can be completed with a good / reject indicator using light signals.
