Mischpolymerisate (Typ PVC', Acrylate), Polyamide (Typ Ultramid), Polyester (Typ Glyptole), Phenoplaste (Typ Phenol bzw. Resorcin-Formaldehyd k. P.), Aminoplaste (Typ Harnstoff bzw. Melamin-CH20-k. P.), Silikone, Polyester unge- sättigt, Polyurethane, Polyepoxyde.

Process for the production of bodies from cast resin molding material with a high filler content
For the production of large shaped pieces. In particular, electrical cast-resin insulators are usually used with cast resin-based compounds with the highest possible proportion of mineral fillers. The task of the filler is to reduce the exotherm that occurs during hardening! Reaction to improve the processability, itability of the mass and furthermore to influence the electrical and mechanical properties of the end products in a desired sense. It is therefore often of great importance to obtain a molding material with the highest possible proportion of mineral fillers, especially when z.
For example, the lowest possible thermal expansion coefficient or an improvement in the surface properties in the event of electrical or mechanical stress is desired. Above all, this includes the improvement of the arc, ... leakage current and open air resistance and abrasion resistance of the molded material, which can be improved in direct proportion to the amount of the filler when using a suitable filler.
For the production of molding materials with a high proportion of filler, casting processes are most frequently used in which the resin or the hardener or both are stretched with filler in as high a percentage as possible and then these two components are mixed together to form a castable mass poured into molds and cured therein. The disadvantage here is that the pourability of the compound is worsened with a high filler content, which manifests itself in cavity-containing molding materials, since, due to the high viscosity of the casting resin compound, the air enclosed during the casting process cannot completely escape even when a vacuum is used.
It is also known that in order to avoid voids in high-stretched cast resin moldings, it is still cured under pressure during processing after the vacuum treatment, but this opening requires expensive equipment. and pressure-resistant casting molds. Furthermore, high-stretched cast resin masses can also be processed using the centrifugal process, but this process is limited to rotationally symmetrical hollow bodies and, according to experience, results in end products which, as a result of the forces occurring during the centrifugal process, have a great deal of internal stress and so tend to crack easily.
The invention relates to a method for producing bodies from cast resin molding material with a high filler content, in particular electrical insulators. Here, the disadvantages of the known methods are erssn-. according to this avoids that 'filler, resin and hardener in such a! Relationship with each other are mixed up that one is not.
sticky, relatively dry, tampable mass is created, which is introduced into a mold under the application of pressure, such as tamping, blowing or pressing, and is cured before or after demolding, after which the resulting body is impregnated with a second resin-hardener mixture and the one absorbed by the body Impregnation compound is hardened.
The proportion of filler in the tampable mass is about 65 to 98, in particular 90 to 95 percent by weight, depending on the type of resin and filler.
Particularly (suitable fillers are: aluminum oxide trihydrate (Al2O3, 3H2O), calcite (CaCO3), quartz powder (SiO2), mica powder (Al.K.-silicate) etc. These and other fillers can be used individually or in suitable mixtures.
The following resins can be used for the tampable mass: polymers or copolymers (type PVC ', acrylates), polyamides (type Ultramid), polyesters (type Glyptole), phenoplasts (type phenol or resorcinol-formaldehyde not specified), aminoplasts (Type urea or melamine-CH20-k. P.), silicones, unsaturated polyesters, polyurethanes, polyepoxides.
The following resins can be used as the resin for the impregnation compound: phenoplasts (phenol or resorcinol-formaldehyde type), aminoplasts (urea or melamine-CH20-k.P.), silicones, unsaturated polyesters, polyuethanes, polyepoxides.
Particularly good results can be achieved with epoxy resins, in particular based on Visphenol A, which can be used both for the production of the tampable mass and for impregnation.
The inventive method is particularly useful for the production of! electrical insulating bodies for outdoor use. Due to the very high proportion of suitable filler, for example aluminum oxide trihydrate (Al2O3, 3H2O), the surface of the molding material (after impregnation) is significantly more resistant to creep, arcing, weather and erosion than with less highly filled molding materials. In addition, with the help of this new process, the insulating material can have any geometric shape. The latter is particularly advantageous in the manufacture of Sbroim and Voltage Waimdlers as well as complicated switch parts. out.
Since the mechanical strengths decrease with increasing filler content, it is often advantageous to use the method according to the invention to produce shells, pipes or the same hollow body-like parts in series in advance. The required fittings (electrodes, coils, etc.) are then built into this and the remaining cavities are filled with an easily pourable, preferably stretched, cast resin compound. In this way, composite bodies can be produced whose upper surface (jacket) is highly weatherproof and whose core has high-quality mechanical and dielectric properties.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. They show for example:
1 to 7 the most important phases of the production of an insulator (support) in a schematic representation,
8 to 10 show the most important steps in the production of a bushing with built-in capacitor plates, in a simplified representation, with FIGS. 8 and 10 showing axial sections and FIG. 9 showing a section along the line IX-IX of FIG.
The two-part mold 1a-1b shown in the empty state in FIG. 1 is shown in accordance with FIGS. 2 and 3 gradually filled with non-sticky, dry filler-resin hardness mixture 2, the mass in the mold being compacted by means of a tamper 3 between each two additions. After the mold is completely filled, the mass in the pulp opening is smoothed out (Fig. 3), a plate is placed on top and the mold and plate are swiveled 180 degrees vertically.
Then the two halves la and Ib of the mold are removed. The latter process is shown in FIG. 4, where. the plate is denoted by 4 and the deformed body is denoted by K (2).
Dar body Kss) wind. now hardened. This hardening process is indicated in FIG. 5 by the arrows h (2).
After curing, the body K (2) is impregnated. This impregnation process is carried out most simply as shown in FIG. 6, the body K (2) being placed in a container 5 with an impregnation bath 6.
After the thorough impregnation, the body, now designated K (s + 6), is removed from the container 5 and the impregnation compound received by the body is hardened. This second hardening process is symbolized in FIG. 7 by the arrows h (6).
When using the new method for producing a composite body, according to the further invention, the individual parts of this body are first formed from tampable mass, with fittings such as fastening means, clamps, electrodes, capacitor linings being embedded if necessary. The parts produced in this way are assembled to form a composite body after they have hardened and are impregnated together. In this way, electrical bushings, for example, can be generated very simply and efficiently.
In order to produce a bushing, a set of n concentrically fitting tubes with embedded cylindrical coverings is first produced from rammed earth with the aid of suitable molds. The hardened tubes are pushed into one another and a suitable one is inserted into the innermost tube. Head felt. This state is shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, the individual tubes being labeled 7, 8 and 9, the capacitor linings being labeled 11 and 12 and the conductor being labeled 10.
The body thus assembled is impregnated in a container 13 according to Fig. 10, the impregnite resin 6 being fed through a vertical channel to the bottom of this container, from where it becomes the composite body. soaks up. The direction of flow of the impregnable material and the direction of suction of the composite body are indicated by arrows. The container 13 can be closed in a vacuum-tight manner by a cover 14 and can also be evacuated via a valve 15.
Example 1 Production of an insulator (see. Fig. 1 to 7):
1000 parts by weight of the filler aluminum oxide trihydcat (grain size 0 to 160 t) wound with 42 parts by weight of an epoxy resin based on diphenylolpropane with an epoxy content of about 5 to 5.5 equivalents / kg with an addition of 20% dibutyl phthalate and 8.4 wt 'icbtsteilen of the amine hardener bis (hydroxyethyl) -triethylenetetr. amine mixed intimately and lump-free.
The resulting mass was poured into a two-part insulator mold and compacted with the aid of a tamper. The pulp opening was smoothed out and a base plate was placed over it.
After the whole thing had been swiveled vertically through 180, the two mold halves were carefully removed.
The so-called green strength of the rammed earth is sufficient to keep the shape once given, even if it is held at elevated temperature.
After curing (15 hours at room temperature) of the tamped insulator, it was heated to 80 C and poured into an impregnation mixture kept at 60 C, consisting of 100 parts by weight of an epoxy resin based on diphenolpropane with an epoxy content of 5.4 equivalents of epoxy per kg, 80 parts by weight of the hardener hexahydrophthalic anhydride and 0.5 parts by weight of an accelerator consisting of tris-dimethylaminomethylphenol, immersed.
After about 45 minutes the insulator was completely impregnated and was removed from the bath and cured at 120.degree.
The proportion of impregnation compound in the finished insulator is around 24 percent by weight.
Example 2
To make an insulator with a stamped jacket and cast core:
1000 parts by weight of the filler aluminum oxide trihydrate became basin with 42 parts by weight of an epoxy resin. of diphenylolpropane with an epoxide content of about 5-5.5 equivalents / kg with an addition of 20% dibutyl phthalate and 8.4 parts by weight of bis (ss-hydroxyethyl) triethylenetetramine as a hardener intimately and lump-free.
This mass was poured into a mold and compacted using a tamper. To make room for the core mass. received, a correspondingly shaped insert was also tamped in and removed again after the mass had hardened. The resulting insulator jacket was hardened (15 hours at room temperature), heated to around 80 C and immersed in an impregnation mixture kept at 60 C was composed exactly the same as that of example 1.
After impregnation (45 minutes), this jacket (impregnation compound) was gelled at 80 ° C. (5 hours) and cured at 140 ° C. (10 hours).
In a further operation, the core mass, consisting of 100 parts by weight of an epoxy resin based on diphenylolpropane with an epoxy content of about 2.5 equivalents / kg, 30 parts by weight of phthalic anhydride as hardener and 200 parts by weight of quartz powder (grain size 0-100) was poured into the shell produced in this way hardened.
Example 3
Manufacture of an electrical bushing as a composite body of individually tamped elements (cf.
Fig. 8 mus 10):
1000 parts by weight of a calcite filler (grain size 10 to 100) were mixed with 82 parts by weight of an epoxy resin based on diphenylolpropane with an epoxy content of about 5-5.5 equivalents / kg with an addition of 20% dibutyl phthalate and 16.4 parts by weight bis - (ss-hydroxyethyl) -triethylenetetramine as hardener intimately and lump-free mixed.
With this mass, circular cylindrical pipes were tamped, the inner. and the external pressure gauge of this pipe set were matched to one another so that the pipes fit concentrically into one another as closely as possible. In this case, cylindrical coverings (metal grids) were inserted into the tamped form for the pipes, each made up of two concentric cylinders, and in each case on the inner wall of the outer cylinder of the form, so that each of the tamped pipes outside an embedded cover.
The stirrers produced in this way were pushed into one another after hardening (15 hours at room temperature) and a suitable electrical conductor (copper rod) was inserted into the innermost tube.
This composite body was heated to about 80 ° C. and immersed in an impregnation mixture which was kept at 60 ° C. and had exactly the same composition as that of example 1.
After about 50 minutes, the composite was completely impregnated, removed from the impregnation bath, gelled at 80 ° C. for 5 hours and finally cured at 140 ° C. for 10 hours.
