III-III in Fig. 1.
Drehkopfes an diesem festhält.
Surface grinding machine The invention relates to a surface grinding machine with a rotatable grinding spindle which carries a face grinding wheel at its free end, the grinding spindle being mounted eccentrically in a rotary head.
With surface grinding machines, if a workpiece is to be perfectly plane-ground, in addition to the rotational movement of the grinding wheel and the infeed movement of the grinding wheel against the workpiece, a relative movement between the grinding wheel and the workpiece in the grinding plane must also be carried out. For this purpose, either the table on which the workpiece is clamped or supported can be moved back and forth relative to the grinding wheel mounted in a fixed support, or the grinding wheel and its support must be transverse to the axis of rotation or the grinding spindle on the workpiece surface moved, e.g.
B. can be pivoted along an arc.
This mode of operation has the major disadvantage that relatively heavy masses have to be moved while developing large acceleration and deceleration forces. This places tight limits on the speed of movement of the table or the grinding wheel support, because the machine parts carry the machine parts to absorb the forces acting alternately in the opposite direction at moderate speeds at which a satisfactory performance cannot yet be achieved must be made so heavy to avoid vibrations,
that the cost of materials alone results in uneconomically high acquisition costs for the machine.
To overcome the disadvantages of such an alternating movement, surface grinding machines of the specified type, which are intended for grinding stone plates, have been proposed to store the grinding spindle eccentrically in a rotary head.
In .the previously known surface grinding machines of this type, a rotating head is mounted in a cantilever arm or support bracket arranged on the machine frame, in which a grinding spindle is mounted eccentrically to its axis of rotation, which has a face grinding disk at its lower end and a face grinding disk at its upper end Wears a gear which engages in a fixed gear in a bearing of the rotary head and rolls on this stationary gear when the rotary head rotates, thereby causing the grinding wheel to rotate.
In these known surface grinding machines, both the grinding spindle and the drive shaft of the rotary head are very short in the bearing, so that when these shafts rotate, fluttering of the grinding wheel cannot be completely avoided even with a very heavy structure of the supporting parts of the machine.
As a result of the self-supporting or at least up to a noticeable oscillating arrangement, which is provided in these known surface grinding machines for reasons of material savings, which, in an issch, even for a short storage of the drive shaft of the rotary head and the grinding spindle, vibrations inevitably occur when surface grinding surfaces when plane grinding metal surfaces,
where extremely high accuracy is required must be avoided.
The listed disadvantages and deficiencies can be avoided by a surface grinding machine of the type explained above, which is characterized according to the invention by a drive pinion that meshes with a gear serving for the grinding spindle drive as well as with at least one gear serving for the rotary head drive.
In the surface grinding machine designed according to the invention, an extremely stable construction is achieved with relatively little material expenditure, in which, in contrast to the more or less cantilevered bearing of the shafts, both the rotary head and the shaft used in the known machines of the same type Grinding spindle can be performed with a relatively very large storage length.
This ensures a vibration-free run of the grinding wheel even at very high speeds, so that a significant improvement in the grinding performance in terms of quantity and surface quality is achieved.
Here, the wear of the abrasive grain is also considerably reduced, because the surface grinding machine according to the invention can be operated with a very small, but completely uniform and continuous feed, in which with relatively little effort on the stationary workpiece, even if it is made of metal, a cross-cut is generated at high speed.
According to a further development of the invention, an inner ring gear is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the side of the rotary head facing away from the grinding wheel, in which at least one intermediate gear meshing with the pinion engages.
A very stable storage of the shafts with a space-saving construction of the machine is made possible in one embodiment that the rotating head is rotatably mounted on its circumference by roller bearings in the housing, the axis of the drive pinion is coaxial to the rotating head axis and the drive pinion and the intermediate gears are staggered to each other.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the surface grinding machine according to the invention is Darge. 1 shows a surface grinding machine according to the invention in an axial longitudinal section, FIGS. 2 and 3 are cross-sections along the line II, II and III-III in FIG.
The surface grinding machine shown as an example has a rotor housing 1 in which a rotary head 2 is rotatably mounted by means of ball bearings 3, 4. In this rotary head 2, a grinding spindle 5 is rotatably mounted bar, which carries at one end a firmly connected to the spindle segment grinding head 6, are used in the grinding segments 19, whose end faces form the work surfaces. Instead of this, a tap grinding wheel can of course also be placed on the grinding shaft, the ring-shaped end face of which serves as a grinding surface.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the grinding spindle 5 is mounted in the tool-side end by means of a tapered roller angular contact bearing and an axial ball bearing and at the other end by means of a radial roller bearing in the rotary head 2.
The tool-side ball bearing 4 of the rotary head 2 is held in the housing 1 by means of an annular flange 8 fastened to it in the axial direction and is protected against the ingress of contamination or grinding dust by seals arranged in the annular grooves of this flange. At the opposite end of the.
The rotary head is connected to it in a rotationally fixed manner with an internal toothing 9, which at the same time also holds the inner race of the ball bearing 3 of the rotary head on this.
A drive housing 10 surrounding the ring gear 9 is fastened to the rotor housing 1, in which a drive shaft 11 is also rotatably mounted in ball bearings, the axis of rotation of which runs coaxially to the axis of rotation of the rotary head 2.
At the outer end of the drive shaft 11, a drive pulley 16 is attached which, for. B. can be provided with several ring grooves for V-belts. At the inner end of the drive shaft 11, a pinion 21 is arranged or formed, which is dimensioned so long that it can mesh both with a gear 7 arranged at the inner end of the grinding spindle 6 and with one or more intermediate gears 12, 13, which in addition to the Gear wheel 7 and in turn are in engagement with the internal teeth of the ring gear 9 connected to the rotary head 2.
These intermediate wheels 12, 13 are either rotatably mounted on axles 14, 15 which are fixed in the drive housing 10, or they are rotatably connected to these axles, which are then rotatably mounted in the drive housing 10 and secured against axial displacement.
A protective ring 17 is placed on the rotor housing 1 on the grinding head side and a protective hood 18 is attached on the drive side, which covers the belt pulley against contact.
The grinding spindle 5 is arranged in the rotary head 2 eccentrically to its axis of rotation, the eccentricity being equal to the sum of half the pitch circle diameter of the pinion 21 and the grinding spindle gear 7.
Since in the inventive design and arrangement of the bearings both in the storage of the grinding spindle 5 in the rotary head 2 and in its storage in the rotor housing 1, as can be clearly seen from Fig. 1, the position approximate length at the rotary head without significantly increasing the dimensions of the machine and especially with the high-speed grinding spindle relatively large compared to the bearing diameter can be selected, an extremely smooth run is achieved up to high speeds,
which results in a very good surface quality on the ground surfaces.
In order to compensate for the imbalance caused by the weight of the eccentrically mounted grinding spindle even at high revolutions of the rotary head to avoid the occurrence of vibrations, a recess 22 is expediently formed in the rotary head 2 on the spindle side, the shape of which can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 3.
When operating the surface grinding machine according to the invention, the drive shaft 11 is driven by a motor (not shown) via the drive belt pulley 16. The pinion 21 drives on the one hand via the gear 7 the grinding spindle 5 with the segment grinding head 6 and on the other hand via the intermediate gears 12, 13 to the ring gear 9 and the rotary head 2 firmly connected to it. The rotary head 2 and the grinding wheel here have the same direction of rotation, the grinding wheel, in addition to its own rotary movement, also executing a Umlaufbewe movement about the axis of rotation of the rotary head.
The workpiece not shown in the drawing does not need to perform a lifting movement when surface grinding, because the grinding head or the whole surface chenschleifmaschine by any machine tools usual, not shown in the drawing presented feed direction against the workpiece can be provided.
The number of teeth of the gearwheels in engagement is expediently chosen so that the speed of the rotary head is preferably about 1 / s to 1/ "of the speed of the grinding spindle. In order to avoid vibrations during grinding as far as possible, the weight should of the rotary head be at least five times the weight, or the grinding spindle and all parts connected to it for rotation.
