Description

Indicator On Vehicles The present invention relates to an indicator on vehicles. According to the Road Traffic Act, pedestrians have the right of right of way over motor vehicles when crossing the road at the designated places, at the so-called pedestrian crossings. Motor vehicle drivers are encouraged to use hand signals to encourage hesitant pedestrians who want to cross the street. Not only at pedestrian crossings, but also in other places, motor vehicle drivers often stop and give pedestrians the right of way with hand signals.

However, hand gestures are not without risk and are often misunderstood, which has already led to serious accidents. The purpose of the invention is to propose a display on vehicles which enables unambiguous signing that cannot be misunderstood. The display according to the invention on vehicles is characterized in that it consists of an optical signal which is arranged in the front part of the vehicle and is visible from the outside and which can be switched on and off from the driver's seat.

The optical signal can expediently consist of a green flashing character. According to a preferred embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, a pedestrian figure is used as a sign, which can be illuminated in green.

An embodiment of the invention consists of a box, which is placed behind the windshield of the vehicle in the center clearly visible, the outward surface of the box with a pedestrian figure is hen verses, which is arranged by lamps inside the box can be illuminated green. The lamps are powered by the car battery, and the lighting is optionally provided by a switch on the dashboard or near the steering wheel of the vehicle. The lighting of the indicator can be combined with the vehicle lighting in such a way that when the light is green, it automatically switches to parking light. This avoids any glare for pedestrians.

The proposed indicator is very simple and effective and helps to prevent accidents.
