Limit switch on an electric hoist The invention relates to a limit switch on an electric hoist. The invention aims to create a simple and cheap limit switch in particular for small hoists.
The limit switch according to the invention is characterized by a rocker with a leaf spring arranged perpendicular to it and connected to the same, which parts are arranged on the lifting device in such a way that its pulling elements, when they reach their end position, move the rocker out of a central rest position, the leaf spring one of two arranged on both sides of the same Kon actuated contact organs, in order to then, with further deflection, still take up an after-run of the traction elements, which was until the electric motor came to a complete stop.
It is advantageous if the rocker and the leaf spring are connected to each other with the help of a pivot axis passed through a housing wall, which housing wall separates the outside angeord designated rocker from the contact organs arranged in the housing. Then namely the contact organs are protected and the electrical connections can be laid in the housing.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in simplified form in the drawing. They show: Fig. 1 a part of an electric chain hoist, partly in section, and Fig. 2 individual parts of a limit switch in a perspective view and on a larger scale.
1 shows part of a housing 1 of an electric chain hoist with a chain 2, one end of which is attached to the housing at 3 and the other end of which carries a load hook 4. Two-part clamping pieces 5 and 6 are placed on the chain near the ends, of which the lower one (5) also connects the hook with the chain. Under the housing part, which contains the passage openings for the chain, a rocker 7 is pivotably mounted on an axis 8. The axis 8 penetrates the housing wall 9 and carries a leaf spring 10 at its other end.
The rocker and the leaf spring are non-rotatably connected to the axle 8, but this itself can rotate in a bore in the housing wall 9, so that the rocker is mounted so that it can pivot easily. In the housing and attached to parts of the same, there is a mounting plate 11 which carries two limit switches 12, 12 'in the form of small snap switches (microswitches). The housing parts which support the plate 11 are omitted for the sake of clarity.
In the rest position, i.e. when the load hook is neither in the lowest nor in the highest end position, the rocker 7 is horizontal and the leaf spring 10 is vertical between the two switches 12, 12 '. In Fig. 1 of the drawing, however, the lowest end position of the hook is shown, in which the clamping piece 6 presses against the rocker so that it is pivoted clockwise. In this position, leaf spring 10 presses on the actuating button 13 'of the switch 12', and this has switched off the motor.
Even if the motor is equipped with a brake, which brakes it when the voltage drops, it will not stand still for a moment, but will make a few more revolutions. So he has a certain lag. The leaf spring allows this by bending further, and the motor can coast down without excessive stress on parts of the limit switch.
In FIG. 2 one sees the same parts which are provided with the same reference numbers as the parts already described in FIG. You can also see the openings 70 and 71 in the rocker, which are measured so that they can let the chain links through, and the clamping piece 72 by means of which the rocker is attached to the axis 8. The axis 8 has at the front a thicker, slotted part 81 in which the leaf spring 10 is inserted. The thinner part 8 forms the storage and implementation through the housing wall 9 (not shown in FIG. 2).
On the switches 12, 12 'you can see connection lugs 120 and 120' for the electrical connections.
The switches shown are single-pole switches with break contact, which are suitable for a small chain hoist with a single-phase motor. Of course, you can also add multi-pole switches or, in the case of larger units, use contactors which are operated by the limit switches.
