Straight-way or angle valve as a shut-off device for high vacuum technology The invention relates to a straight-way or corner valve of large nominal width as a shut-off device for high-vacuum technology, with hydraulic actuation and locking and a valve plate that can be lifted off the seat and pivoted in the direction of flow.
There is a small valve size known in which, or valve seat halved by one, cross web and the resulting semicircular seat surfaces are closed abge by appropriately shaped valve flaps. The valve flaps are operated from the outside by means of rods. With this valve, it is difficult to achieve a perfect seal on the crosspiece, and the disadvantage is an increased leakage rate and a complicated linkage formation.
In another known embodiment, the valve disk is rotated in the direction of the lowest flow resistance by the cooperation of a joint triangle with another joint. Another known system is equipped with a lever mechanism which has a toggle lever to generate the contact pressure. For lifting and swiveling the valve plate, further levers are arranged crosswise.
These levers are hinged on the one hand to the valve housing and on the other hand to the valve disk. A disadvantage is noticeable here; that the wall of the valve housing has to be made relatively strong in accordance with the lever force to be absorbed, although the operating pressure allows a weaker wall thickness.
Another major disadvantage of these named valves is that a certain pressure must be transmitted to the valve disk in order to achieve the required tightness.
In the known valves, the required contact pressure is introduced in the center of the valve disk and transferred to the sealing element. The material-intensive construction of the valve disc has a disadvantage here - especially with larger nominal sizes. In addition, the effort involved in producing the movement mechanisms is very extensive. In a further known embodiment, the valve disc is opened and closed hydraulically.
The valve plate is attached to the head of the vertical valve rod. A bellows placed around the piston rod serves as a sealing element and separates the vacuum space from the atmosphere. The disadvantage is that the hydraulic cylinder; which opens and closes as well as presses the valve disc onto the seat, is attached to the valve and thus requires twice the lifting height. These valves can only be used as angle valves.
The previously known embodiments are not suitable for valves of large nominal sizes and for those that have to be tight on both sides against atmospheric pressure for operational reasons, since the required contact forces for the Ventiltel ler an extremely heavy design of the valve is the result. Furthermore, in the versions with a pivotable valve disc, the elastic sealing element slides on the sealing surface at the moment of opening or closing, which causes premature wear of the sealing element.
The purpose of the invention is to create a vacuum valve which avoids the disadvantages described ver and has a construction that is as light as possible, especially for large nominal sizes.
The invention is based on the object of ensuring the known advantages of pivoting the valve disk in the direction of the lowest flow resistance in a straight or corner valve of a large nominal width, by suitable arrangement of known components, the valve not according to the required leverage, but only ent designed according to the operating pressure and thus enable a lightweight construction of the valve,
to keep the lifting height of the known components small and to avoid sliding of the elastic sealing element at the moment of opening or closing by appropriate design of the valve disc bearing.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the required contact pressure for the valve plate, which is provided with an elastic sealing element and pressure ring, is generated by, for example, four, but at least three, pressure cylinders attached radially and evenly on the circumference of the valve housing and at a certain angle to the valve seat surface. This arrangement has the advantage that the piston rod of the pressure cylinder on the outer circumference of the valve disk, d. H. attacks in the immediate vicinity of the sealing element.
As a result, the valve disk base is largely relieved of the un indirect transmission of the sealing forces; he therefore only needs to withstand the maximum pressure difference occurring above or below the valve disc and can thus be carried out accordingly easily. For the pivoting process to open and close the valve valve is rotatably mounted on one side and can be raised by a rope using a winch that is located in the valve housing and lowered by its own weight.
To at. To prevent the elastic sealing element from sliding off or on, the pivot bearing attached to the valve housing is expediently designed in such a way that after the non-positive connection between the pressure cylinder and valve plate has been loosened, the pin with the valve plate connected via pivot arms by a compression spring in the corresponding as Elongated hole formed bearing bore is raised until the elastic sealing element stood a certain distance from the valve seat.
The force of the spring must be greater than half and can be less than the total weight of the valve disk. When the valve disk is closed, the process is repeated in reverse order. For safety reasons, it is advisable to make the mechanism for raising and lowering the valve disk self-locking and preferably to operate it hydraulically.
In the drawings, an embodiment of the invention is shown.
They show: FIG. 1: a simplified longitudinal section through the valve FIG. 2: a partial section according to FIG. 1 through a hydraulic cylinder and valve plate FIG. 3: the pivot bearing in plan view FIG. 4: a section A -A </ B> according to FIG. 3 FIG. 5: a section BB according to FIG. 3 FIG. 6: a section CC according to FIG. 3.
In the exemplary embodiment, the valve is shown as a corner valve.
In Fig. 1, the valve disc via a Schwenkla ger 2 with the valve housing 3 is pivotally verbun the. The pivoting movement is carried out by a hydraulically driven winch 5 attached to the valve housing 3 and connected to the inside of the valve via the cable 6. The drive of the winch 5, which is not designated and is preferably designed as a worm drive, is self-locking, so that the valve disc in each opening and Closed position can be maintained without special security measures.
The valve disk 1 closes automatically when the cable 6 is unwound from the cable drum 7 of the winch 5 due to its own weight.
On the circumference of the valve housing 3, four pressure cylinders 8 according to FIG. 2 are attached radially to the center line 4 of the valve disk 1. After the valve disk 1 rests on the valve seat 9, it is pressed firmly against the same by the four pressure cylinders 8. The pressing force of the pressure oil is transmitted from the piston 10 via the piston rod 11 to the head 12 with the roller 13 on the pressure block 14 of the valve plate 1. The pressure block 14 and the gusset plates 15 are attached to the surface of the valve plate 1 in such a way that the sealing force introduced acts indirectly on the valve seat 9 via the pressure ring 16 of the valve plate 1.
In the pressure ring 16, the elastic sealing element 17 is inserted. In order to transfer the movement of the piston rod 11 into the valve interior in a vacuum-tight manner, an elastic seal 18, for example a metal bellows, is attached. The stroke of the pressure cylinder 8 is limited by switchable limit switches 19. The pressure cylinder 8 and the winch 5 are fed by a normal hydraulic unit, which is not shown. The circuit, not shown, of the hydraulically operated winch 5 and the pressure cylinder 8 are designed as a follow-up control, so that the movement processes can only run in the following order: close - press - release open.
The structure of the pivot bearing 2 can be seen from FIGS. 3 to 6. After releasing the frictional connection by the pressure cylinder 8, the valve plate 1 is raised in pivot bearing 2 by the force of a spring 20 until the Zap fen 21, which is connected to the pivot arms 23, has passed through the slot 22 and on the Schwenkla - Gerdeckel 24 rests.
At the same time, the valve disk 1 in the vicinity of the bearing point is lifted so far from the valve seat 9 that the elastic sealing element 17 no longer touches the valve seat 9. During the subsequent opening process, the valve disk 1 is brought into an end position by the winch 5 without damage to the elastic sealing element 17 occurring. The force of the spring 20 must be greater than half and can be less than the total weight of the valve disk 1.
