Fig. 6 Teile der Vorrichtung nach Fig. 5 unter Verwendung eines Verstellmotors und Fig. 7 eine Variante der Anordnung nach Fig. 6.
Height-adjustable table The invention relates to a height-adjustable table with telescopically mutually displaceable leg parts, of which the leg parts standing on the floor are supported with the interposition of rigid elements at the lower ends of guided, flexible and compressible elements, the upper ones Ends are in operative connection with an adjusting device arranged on the underside of the table, with the aid of which the flexible elements in the guides and thereby the parts of the table legs can be shifted relative to one another to change the table height.
Known tables of this type have drivable threaded spindles which can be rotated with the aid of a hand crank and on which running nuts or the like slide pieces are guided, with which the flexible elements are then connected. These known arrangements are relatively complex and have the particular disadvantage that the Ge threads of the spindle are exposed, unless special housings are provided. In particular, it is also not possible to attach the flexible elements directly to the running nuts or
To attach sliders, but it must be switched between these and the flexible elements rigid intermediate links to avoid buckling of the biegsa men elements when the sliders have a considerable distance from the end of the guide tubes.
In a further known table, racks are attached to the ends of the flexible elements, which are in engagement with corresponding pinions. Racks and pinions are not only relatively expensive themselves, they also require special guide means and, above all, have the major disadvantage that they are not self-locking. It must therefore be carried ge care for other gear elements, which have a sufficient inhibition to enable the table to be locked at any height. Otherwise care would have to be taken for a corresponding locking device.
The invention has the purpose of avoiding the disadvantages of the known devices and consists in that the adjustment device coaxial with the guide for .das flexible element of each leg has a rotatable, threaded element which is coupled to a drive device, and that the flexible element is provided directly with a thread which engages in the thread of the rotatable element. With such an arrangement, not only are the previously customary, special running nuts or
Sliders, but at the same time a complete encapsulation of the adjustment device can be achieved, the cover being formed by the guide tubes and possibly by the adjoining element. The inventive device also has the advantage that either the flexible element can always be arranged over its entire length within a guide tube or the guidance given by the guide tube is supplemented by the rotatable element of the device and therefore rigid links at the upper end of the flexible ele mentes can be dispensed with.
One and two-column tables can be formed according to the invention in a particularly advantageous manner. This is because the device according to the invention for adjusting the height of the table can easily be accommodated in the metal tubes with a relatively small cross-section, which are usually used to support the table top in such tables, but can also be accommodated in other supporting parts of the table top or even in the table top itself. In the case of single-column tables, it is also possible to attach a hand crank directly to the free end of the rotatable element, which makes the arrangement particularly simple.
When using a directly threaded flexible ele mentes, a particularly short length of the part of the adjustment device arranged below the table top parallel to this can be achieved because the flexible element can be pushed completely into the arch of the guides.
In contrast to the known tables, only one guide means in the length of the table stroke then needs to be connected to the arch, while otherwise twice the length is required, which has so far led to difficulties in the case of single-column tables, which experts only encounter through complex solutions could handle.
The adjustment device provided in the table according to the invention also has the essential advantage that it can be designed with very little friction, since it has only a few bearing points and the friction of the flexible element in the guide tube is very low, especially when this element is with is surrounded by a wire helix which also serves as a thread.
The low friction is essentially due to the fact that the forces that occur during height adjustment do not act on the nut with a lever arm to the spindle axis, as is the case with known tables, but in one embodiment concentric to the spindle axis on the nut, which @ In addition, the table can be adjusted without jolting.
The invention therefore makes it possible to equip the drive device with a small electric motor, so that the push of a button is sufficient to set the table to a desired height.
The invention is described and explained in more detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing. 1 shows a cross-section through the parts of a single-column table essential for the invention, the adjustment device of which is equipped with an internally threaded flexible element, FIG. 2 shows a section similar to FIG. 1 through a further single-column table according to the invention.
in the case of which adjustment device a rod provided with an external thread is connected to the flexible element, FIG. 3 shows a section similar to FIG. 2, in the case of which adjustment device the flexible element is directly provided with an external thread, FIG. 4 shows detail IV according to FIG 3 on an enlarged scale, FIG. 5 a section through the parts of a multi-legged table that are essential to the invention.
6 parts of the device according to FIG. 5 using an adjusting motor and FIG. 7 shows a variant of the arrangement according to FIG. 6. In the table according to FIG. 1, the table top 1 is supported by a central column which consists of the two parts 2 and 3 exists. The leg part 2 is attached to the underside of the table top 1, while the leg part 3 relative to the part 2 is telescopically ver slidable.
By pushing out the leg part 3 downwards, the table top 1 can therefore be lifted ben.
To push out the leg part 3, a device is provided before, which has a rod 4 mounted below the table top with an external thread 5 and a flexible element 6 in the form of a hose that is guided in a tube 7. The lower end of the hose is fastened to a rod 8 BE, the lower end of which is in turn firmly connected to the plate 9, which is part of the foot part 3 is. At the upper end of the hose 6 in a female thread 10 is attached, which is with the thread 5 of the rod 4 in engagement. This rod protrudes into the hose 6.
The rod 4 with the Ge thread 5 is inserted into a pipe section 11, which is rotatably mounted with the help of Lagerbö.aken 12 and 13 on ider underside of the table top 1 and can be rotated with the help of the crank 14 in revolutions. The hand crank 14 is attached to the end of a rod 15 which is pushed into the tube 11 and is displaceable therein. In the front end of the rod 15, a pin 16 is inserted, which engages in a slot 17 in the wall of the tube 11 and thereby a rotationally locking connection between tween dew rod 15 and idem tube 11 produces.
In the rest position of the crank 14, the rod 15 is pushed so far into the tube 11 that the crank 14 rests tightly on the bearing piece 13. To adjust the table height, the crank is brought into the position shown in Fig. 1 and then rotated in order. The tube 11 and the rod 14 fastened therein are taken along. Since the flexible hose 6 cannot rotate due to the connection with the movable foot part 3, the thread 10 attached to the end of the hose 6 is displaced on the thread 5 of the rod 4 when the crank 14 is rotated.
As a result, the hose 6 in the tube 7 and the movable leg part 3 relative to the leg part 2 fixed to the table is shifted ben, whereby a height adjustment of the table will be effective. In the illustrated Ausführungsbei game, the guide tube 7 for the hose 6 extends to the bearing block 12, so idass that. The upper end of the hose and the rod 4 are surrounded by the tube 7 over the entire length and shielded from the outside. It is therefore not necessary to provide the tube 6 with a rigid part at the upper end.
This would not be necessary even if the tube 7 only extended approximately to the end of the rod 4, because from then on the inner guide through the rod 4 would take the place of the outer guide through the tube 7. However, the thread of the rod 4 would then be with the table raised, if Idas thread 10 nfiahie! The end of the rod 4 facing away from the crank, is not protected against soiling or damage.
The shielding of the rod 4 also makes it possible to grease the threads 5 and 10 abundantly without the risk of people sitting at the table becoming soiled by touching the adjustment device.
Fig. 2 also shows a single column table, the table top 21 rests on a frame 22 made of square tube, which is supported by a central column. This column consists of parts 23 and 24 which can be pushed apart telescopically.
A flexible element 25, which is guided in a tube 26 and the lower end of which is fastened to the foot part 24 by means of a rod 27, while its upper end merges into a rod 28 which is threaded with an off, is used to actuate the extendable foot part 24 29 is provided. The thread 29 of the rod 28 engages with a thread 30 which is attached to the inside of a tube 31. The front end of the tube 30, in which a sleeve having the Ge 31 is inserted, is mounted in a bearing piece 32 which is inserted into the square tube 22.
The rear end of the tube 30 is fastened to a sleeve 33, which in turn is mounted in two bearing pieces 34 and 35 and which is used to accommodate the crank handle 36, similar to the embodiment of FIG. The tube 30 with the thread 31 is arranged as an extension of the upper part of the guide tube 26, so that the two tubes together form a closed envelope in which the rod 28 attached to the end of the flexible element 25 reciprocates when the crank 36 is turned can move. Here too, complete shielding of the threaded parts and the displaceable element of the adjusting device is achieved.
In addition, it can be clearly seen from FIG. 2 that the device according to the invention only takes up little space, so that it can be easily installed in relatively narrow square tubes 22. Of the entire adjusting device, only the crank 36 can be seen from the outside, so that very high-quality tables can also be manufactured according to the invention without the tasty design of the table being impaired in any way.
The embodiment of Fig. 3 differs from the previous one essentially in that at the upper end of the flexible element 41 is not a special threaded rod is attached, but that this flexible element itself on its outside a Ge thread 42 has. As can be seen in more detail from Fig. 4, this thread is formed by a wire helix 43 which is pulled onto the same flexible element 41 similar to a steel cable. Similarly, the thread 44, which is attached to the end of the rotatable tubes 45, as can be seen from FIG. 4, consists of a wire helix 46 which has been attached to the end of the tube 45.
This tube, which in turn is rotatably mounted on the underside of the table top 47 and connected to a cursive brooch 48 Drehschlüs sig, extends here close to the curvature of the guide tube 49 and continues this so far that the end of the flexible element 41 even in the lowest position of the table, as shown in FIG. 3, is completely accommodated in the tube 45.
It is easy to see that this arrangement is characterized both by the greatest simplicity and also by a high level of operational reliability due not least to the simplicity. Likewise, the space required is also this arrangement, especially its length, very ge ring and the thread-bearing elements are fully shielded.
The short overall length results from the fact that the threaded part of the flexible element can also be pushed into the curved part of the guide tube so that the length of the tube 45 only needs to correspond to the length of the table stroke, while the table according to FIG In known tables, the corresponding tube or the space adjoining the arch for the flexible element must have twice the length of the stroke.
Furthermore, it is possible with the table according to the invention to slide the tube 50, to which the crank 48 is attached, over the flexible element and thereby further reduce the space requirement in the axial direction of the horizontal part of the flexible element. Last but not least, this arrangement is particularly advantageous in that the friction of the flexible element 41 in the guide tube 49 is very low, because because of the wire helix 43 there is only contact at a few points and the helix can consist of a material with good sliding properties .
It goes without saying that a similar flexible element provided with a helical thread could also be injection-molded from plastic, for example.
In the two-column table according to FIG. 5, two devices according to FIGS. 3 and 4 are combined with one another to adjust the leg parts of the two table columns. To the rotatable tube 51, which corresponds to the tube 45 of FIG. 3 and which leads to the rake th table column, a further rotatable tube 52 for actuating the externally threaded flexible element 53 connects to the adjustment of the movable Part 54 of the left table leg 55 is used.
The two table legs, of which only the left table leg 55 is shown, are connected to each other by a longitudinal strut 56 extending below the table top, which delimits a cavity in which both the guide tubes 57 for the flexible elements 53 and the rotatable tubes 51 and 52 and a shaft 59 which can be rotated by means of a hand crank 58 with means of the bearing pieces 60 and 61 are mounted. The ends of the tubes 51 and 52 pointing towards the center are left and right of a gear 62 together with this on an axle piece 63 non-rotatably BEFE Stigt.
The rod 59 that can be driven by the crank runs parallel to the rotatable tube 52 and has a toothed wheel 64 at the end, which meshes with the toothed wheel 62. By turning the crank 58 so the two rotatable tubes 51 and 52 are rotated together via the gear 64, 62 and it will share in the manner already described, the movable leg parts relative to the leg fixed to the table in the sense of an increase or a reduction in the Table height shifted.
Since the tubes 51 and 52 rotate in the same direction, the threads at the ends of these tubes and the corresponding threads on the flexible elements must have opposite slopes so that the movable leg parts of the table always move in the same direction.
Last but not least, the low friction, by which the embodiment of FIGS. 3 and 4 is characterized, makes it possible to provide the drive of the device for height adjustment instead of a crank with a small electric motor at the table according to the invention.
This can be done, for example, in that, in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 5; the free ends of the rotatable tubes 51 and 52 are placed non-rotatably on the ends of an output shaft 65 of a reduction gear 66, which in turn is driven by an electric motor 67 is and is installed, for example, together with this in a common housing.
It would of course also be possible to equip the gear 66 with two output shafts rotating in opposite directions, so that thread inserts with a pitch in the same direction can be used at the other ends of the tubes 51 and 52. Accordingly, the co-operating threads of the flexible elements can also be designed in the same way. It would then be possible to use the same components for the left and right halves of the table.
This purpose is also served by the arrangement according to FIG. 7, in which the one tube 71 is placed directly on the output shaft 72 of the gear 73 driven by the electric motor 74, while at the other end of the shaft 72 one of the gears 75 and 76 existing Reverse gear is connected. For this gear is a. Special bearing element 77 is provided, which is penetrated by the corresponding end of the shaft 72, which at the same time directly carries the gear 75.
The gear wheel 76 is fastened on a shaft piece 78 which on the one hand engages in the bearing element 77 and on the other hand carries the second rotatable tube 79. It can be seen that the tube 79 rotates in the opposite direction to the tube 71, so that the threads at the ends of these tubes and the threads on the flexible elements can rise in the same way, so that when the table height is changed, the two movable foot parts of the table be extended or retracted evenly. It should also be mentioned that the two gears 75 and 76 and thus also the two tubes 71 and 79 are arranged in a common vertical plane.
It goes without saying that with the help of similar gear, the rotatable elements, i.e. either the rotatable tubes similar to the tube 45 according to FIG. 3 or rotatable rods similar to the rotatable rod 4 according to FIG. 1, in four-legged tables either by a crank or can be driven with the help of an electric motor in such a way that the movable parts of all table legs are evenly displaced.
The arrangement can easily be made so that essentially the same components are used for all table legs.
It is also understood that the invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiments shown, but that deviations therefrom are possible without departing from the scope of the invention. In particular, a table according to the invention can have any number of legs and be made of any suitable material. Instead of the guide tubes, wooden parts drilled or provided with grooves can be provided. The power can also be transmitted from the crank or one of the drive members to the nut instead of through pipes through webs or rods that connect the drive members to the mother.
