Test setup for examining the behavior of high voltage
Circuit breakers when interrupting capacitive currents
For high-voltage switchgear, the knowledge about the behavior of the circuit breaker when interrupting capacitive currents is becoming more and more important, so that one is very interested in switch constructions that use capacitive circuits, such as B. switch off long and short overhead lines or cables, transformer banks for reactive current compensation, suction circuit systems and ripple control systems without backfire. Testing the circuit breakers in test fields is often very difficult because a sufficient number of capacitors or the required long cables are often not available.
In addition, in order to generate a certain form of recovery voltage, the internal resistance of the voltage source must be either very small or, in some cases, adjustable.
Test arrangements for examining the behavior of high-voltage circuit breakers when capacitive currents are interrupted are already known in which a high voltage acting as recovery voltage is applied to the test switching path in a synthetic circuit after the high-current load on the test switching path and after the high-current source has been separated from the high-voltage circuit by an auxiliary switch. The known test arrangements use a generator which feeds either an inductive / ohmic or a capacitive high-current circuit via a transformer and a capacitive high-voltage circuit via another transformer.
If, however, instead of capacitive currents, inductive or ohmic currents are interrupted in the high-current circuit, then, in contrast to the interruption of capacitive currents, deviations in the stability of the arc result, which means that the test no longer corresponds to the conditions in mains operation. In addition, if the currents, even if they are capacitive, are always interrupted by the auxiliary switch connected upstream, in addition to the test switching section, then different extinguishing conditions also occur than is the case in mains operation, where only one switch has to interrupt the current.
The invention is concerned with the task of creating a test arrangement which results in test conditions that are true to the network for capacitive disconnections. It is also based on a synthetic circuit in which a high voltage acting as a recovery voltage can be applied to the test switching section after the high current load on the test switching section and the separation of the high current source from the high voltage circuit by an auxiliary switch.
According to the invention, this test arrangement is connected in such a way that the high current is superimposed on the high current shortly before it becomes zero from a high-voltage oscillating circuit, with a capacitive current of a smaller amplitude but higher frequency than that of the high current, which flows through the test switching section only when the auxiliary switch is open, and that this oscillating current before it becomes zero Another high-voltage resonant circuit, tuned to the operating frequency, is connected to the first-mentioned high-voltage resonant circuit, so that the transient voltage forms characteristic of capacitive disconnections occur at the test circuit immediately after the oscillation current has zero.
The test arrangement initially uses a high inductive current, which pre-loads the test circuit, but at the decisive moment before the arc is extinguished, a capacitive current flows through the latter, at whose zero the high voltage is directly connected in the form of the recovery voltage that settles in capacitive shutdowns . In this way, precisely in the area of the current zero crossing, the conditions are met as they are in network operation, e.g. B. when disconnecting capacitor banks occur.
The generation of the superimposed oscillating or equalizing current and the various forms of the settling voltage can, for. B. be done in such a way that the high-voltage resonant circuit contains a capacitor charged with direct voltage, which charges another capacitor shortly before the high current goes to zero via the test switching path and resonant circuit elements, the voltage of which is then present at the test switching path in the characteristic form after the superimposed capacitive current has become zero . Instead of the resonant circuit capacitor, a line, a line replica or another equivalent circuit can be used. An exemplary embodiment of the invention will be explained with reference to the drawing, in which FIG. 1 shows a circuit diagram of the new test arrangement and FIG. 2 shows a current-voltage diagram.
The high-current circuit I of a synthetic test circuit contains a generator G, an on-switch designated as a top switch D, a current-limiting choke Lb and a transformer T, the secondary winding of which generates a high current ik routed via an auxiliary switch H and a test circuit P. The high-voltage circuit II contains a capacitor Cs charged with direct voltage, resonant circuit elements Re, Lg, Ce, a damping resistor R1, a resonant circuit capacitor C1 and a spark gap F1 with a bridging switch Si and the test switching gap P.
The spark gap F1 as well as the switch Si are ignited or switched on via a current transformer W1 and a control unit St1 shortly before the high current ik becomes zero. A spark gap F2 is used via a current transformer W2 and a control unit Sto shortly before the superimposed capacitive oscillating current is Vibrating throttle Ls connected in parallel to the capacitor Cs.
This circuit works as follows:
When the switch D closes, an inductive current ili flows through the auxiliary switch H and the test switching section P. Shortly before it becomes zero when the extinguishing position or the switch-off position of the switching contacts of the test object P is reached, the spark gap F1 is ignited. As a result, the capacitor Cs charges the capacitor C1 with the current is via the test circuit P and the resonant circuit elements Re, L1, Ce.
The current curve in the test switching path P during this switching process is shown in greater detail in FIG. 1k denotes the inductive component of the high current on which the capacitive oscillating current iS is superimposed at the moment tl via the control device Stt and the spark gap F1. This gives the high current the form ik + is.
Since the current i8 in the auxiliary switch H flows against the current ik, the current i1i in this switch is prematurely interrupted so that the test switching path P only carries the current is at the end of the current half-wave. The spark gap F2 is ignited via the converter W2 and the control unit St2 shortly before the current is zero, so that when the current is zero, the circuit Cs, Le oscillating at the operating frequency is switched on at time t2.
Shortly after the current is zero, the switch S1 bridged the spark gap F1, which means that after the voltage at the chokes L1 and L2 has been reduced, the differential voltages between the capacitors C1, Ce and Cs are shown in the characteristic form shown for capacitive shutdowns can settle in the test switching path.
