Neck frame tying device for tying cattle individually or in groups
The invention relates to a neck frame tying device for tying cattle individually or in groups, which has neck frame rods held against protruding top and bottom, which in their common plane between, an open position in which the head of the cattle between can pass through them, and a closed position, in which their lateral distance is greater than the width of the neck but smaller than the width of the head of the cattle, are adjustable to each other.
In known neck frame tying devices of this type, the two neck frame rods consist of one piece. For opening and closing, they are held at their upper ends and can be displaced laterally. at it, en lower ends pivotally connected to one another and movably attached to a ground anchor. Tying the cattle by means of such neck frames has the advantage that the animals are urged to defecate on a narrow floor area. This makes it easier to keep the animals clean, especially with regard to fully automatic manure removal.
However, they have the disadvantage that they significantly hinder the animals when getting up and lying down.
Attempts were made to remedy this deficiency by crimping the neck frame rods forward. This well-known cropping gives the animals the necessary freedom of movement when standing up, but restricts it all the more when lying down and lying down.
The invention is based on the object of creating a neck frame connecting device of the type mentioned above, 'which grants the cattle much more freedom of movement when getting up and lying down than the known neck frame connecting devices described above. According to the invention. this is achieved in that intermediate joints are built into the frame rods below their longitudinal center and essentially at the same level, which allow the neck frame rods to buckle perpendicularly to the common plane in the longitudinal direction of the cattle pen.
When the cattle tied down in a neck frame tying device according to the invention lies down or stands up, the neck bars can, as a result of the intermediate joints built into them, buckle perpendicular to their common plane in the longitudinal direction of the cattle pen. so that the cattle are given the freedom of movement that was previously lacking in the known neck frames.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the neck frame rod parts of the respective neck frame located below the intermediate joints can be rigidly connected to one another. This gives the.
The advantage that the lateral forces exerted by the tethered cattle on the neck rods do not need to be absorbed exclusively by the joint, which is designed for this purpose, e.g. B. as a hinge joint, would have to be formed, but from the now inherently rigid lower part below, the intermediate joints are included. As a result, the neck frame rods retain the necessary rigidity against lateral bending and a constant mutual distance over a long service life, regardless of possible wear and tear of the intermediate joints.
The rigid connection of the neck frame rod parts below the intermediate joints can be obtained by rigidly connecting the lower ends of these neck frame rod parts to one another by means of a lockable joint which, according to; its solution allows adjustment of the distance between the intermediate joints. On. In this way, on the one hand, the desired rigid connection is achieved, but on the other hand, it creates the possibility of precisely adapting the spacing of the intermediate joints to different neck sizes of the animals.
Another way to achieve the rigid connection of these neck frame rod parts is to combine them into a rigid one-piece neck frame lower part which is held down below.
This rigid neck frame lower part can be V-shaped or U-shaped.
Furthermore, the intermediate joints can advantageously be used as universal joints. be designed which allow an all-round pivoting of the neck frame rod parts connected to them to each other. As a result, the neck frame can not only buckle perpendicular to the common plane of the two neck frame rods, but can also twist itself somewhat. This makes it easier for the animal to turn its head to one side when standing, but especially when lying down.
A particularly simple design of the intermediate joints as universal joints consists in the fact that the neck frame rod parts each have an eyelet at their respective intermediate joint ends and the eyelets of the two rod parts belonging to a neck frame rod interlock in the manner of chain links.
If tubes are used for the neck frame rods, then these eyes can be formed by chain links which are partially pushed axially into the respective tube end and held therein by means of a bolt which passes transversely through the tube and the chain link.
To move the neck frame rods between the open position and the closed position, they are held at their upper ends, preferably rotatable and pivotable in all directions, in overlays, which can be moved and locked along guide rails and connected to operating rods for opening and closing the neck frames in groups. This type of suspension of the neck frame rods allows them the necessary freedom of movement to buckle and twist the frame in itself.
To protect the stable workers and the animals from injuries and to prevent the animals from getting caught with their horns in the operating rods, the upper bearings and the operating rods are preferably located within the guide rails. This also results in a certain protection of the upper bearings and operating rods against contamination.
Embodiments. the original shows the drawing. In it are:
1 shows a neck frame connecting device according to the invention, specifically on the left in a front view and on the right in a side view, and FIG
2 shows views of various types of neck frame rod suspension.
According to FIG. 1, the neck frame, which is arranged in the usual manner at the front end of the cattle stall, consists of two neck frame rods 1, 3 'and 2, 3' which are held at the top and bottom and in their common plane between an open position in that the head of the cattle can pass through between them, and a closed position in which their lateral distance is greater than the width of the neck but less than the width of the head of the cattle, are mutually adjustable.
The lower neck frame rod parts 3 'of the neck frame form in the illustrated embodiment a rigid neck frame lower part 3, which is articulated ver at its upper ends to the lower ends of the neck frame rod parts 1 and 2 respectively. The neck frame rod parts 1 and 2 are suspended at their upper ends so that they can be moved laterally in an upper rail 13, while the rigid lower part 3 is via a flexible intermediate piece, e.g. B. is movably connected at the bottom with a ground anchor 15 via a chain.
The upper rail 13 is gnawed by posts 11, which are located on one or the other side of the neck rail and are embedded in the stable floor at the bottom.
The intermediate joints 16, which connect the rigid neck frame lower part 3 to the neck frame rod parts 1 and 2, are designed as universal joints which allow the neck frame rod parts 1 and 2 to move in all directions relative to the rigid lower part 3. According to Fig. 1, these universal joints are formed by sleeves, one of which is at each upper end of the rigid lower part 3 and at the. lower end of each neck frame rod part l and 2 is arranged. These eyelets interlock in pairs like chain links.
The rigid neck frame lower part 3 can, as shown in FIG. 1, consist of one piece, but it can also have two parts which are rigidly connected to one another by means of a lockable joint which, when released, allows the spacing of the intermediate joints 16 to be adjusted.
To open and close the neck frame, both neck frame rod parts 1 and 2 can be displaced at their upper ends between the essentially vertical position shown with solid lines on the left in FIG. 1 and the inclined position shown with dash-dotted lines, in which they are others form a V.
In the open position the animal can comfortably stalk its head with the horns between the neck frame rod parts, while in the closed position of the neck frame, depending on whether it is standing or lying down, it can easily reach from the neck frame rod parts 1 and 2 or by the rigid base 3 behind his head on both sides of the neck.
So that, on the one hand, the neck frame rises sufficiently far at head level of the standing animal when the upper ends of the neck frame rod parts 1 and 2 are shifted in the opening direction, but on the other hand the neck frame can bend sufficiently far forward and backward at the intermediate joints 16 perpendicular to its plane, when the animal lies down or a; uf stands, are. the intermediate joints 16 both a good distance above the bar 5 and a good distance. arranged below the head of the standing animal.
2 shows different types of suspension of the neck frame rod parts 1 and 2 in the upper rail 13.
In the embodiment, which is shown schematically on the left in FIG. 2 in perspective and on the right in FIG. 2 in FIG. A, the free upper ends of the neck frame rod parts 1 and 2 have balls 4, each in a ball socket an upper bearing 6 sit. This ball socket has, at diametrically opposite points, two stub axles 7 projecting perpendicularly to the hial frame rod part i or 2 from it, which carry rollers 8 which run in the upper rail 13 in the longitudinal direction thereof.
The upper rail 13 consists of two angled profiles, which are arranged next to one another in such a way that they form an upwardly open U, with the lower legs of the angled profiles facing one another having a mutual spacing that is greater than the thickness of the neck frame rod parts 1 and 2. The rollers 8 run on the upper side of the lower legs of the angle profiles and are guided in the lateral direction by the lateral legs of these profiles that are perpendicular thereto.
In the embodiment according to Fig. B, the upper ends of the neck frame rod parts 1 and 2 are simply cylindrical and run through a bearing ring with a cylindrical bore, which here takes the place of the ball socket and in the same way as these pins for the in the top rail 13 has running rollers 8.
A plate fastened above the bearing ring to the respective end of the neck frame rod part 1 or 2 prevents the shark frame rod parts 1 or 2 from slipping out of the bearing ring.
In the case shown in FIG. 2, the upper bearing allows both a rotation. and also a certain all-round pivoting of the neck frame rod parts 1 and 2 with respect to the guide rail 13.
Furthermore, in each of the embodiments of the upper bearing for each of the upper bearing shown in FIG. 2, a clamping device, e.g. B. a clamping eccentric 10 is provided, with which the respective Obedager to a loading actuation linkage for opening in groups. and closing the neck frame can be angsklennnt.
This actuating linkage has two rods 9 moving in opposite directions, the upper bearing for one neck frame rod part being clamped to one actuating rod and the upper bearing for the other neck frame rod part being clamped to the other actuating rod. The clamping of the upper bearing to the actuating rods 9 is preferably carried out in the closing position of these rods at a mutual distance adapted to the neck width of the respective animal.
If you want to tie up the animals independently of the common operating rod, then you can. the upper camp instead. fasten to the actuating rods 9 on a holding plate 12 which is rigidly attached to the upper rail 13. In this case, too, the distance between the neck frame rod parts 1 and 2 can be adapted to the neck width of the respective animal by appropriately locking the upper bearing. The actuating rods 9 are located in the same way as the upper bearings 6, preferably also within the upper rail 13, so that the animals can. cannot get caught in it with their horns.
