Slot closure on an electrical machine In electrical machines with not closed slots, relative movements of the teeth of the laminated core occur during start-up and especially when reversing, which are caused by the influence of field forces. These relative movements are the reason that magnetic locking wedges in the previously known designs only have a short lifespan and fall out of the groove or crumble over time, with the risk that the machine will be significantly damaged.
If the slot wedge is made entirely of magnetically conductive materials, there is the further disadvantage that it represents a mostly undesirably good bridge for the leakage flux. It has therefore already been proposed to build a zone of magnetically non-conductive metal powder in the middle of the otherwise magnetically conductive wedge and to bring about a certain plasticity of the locking wedge through the choice and density of the sintered parts.
The wedge is inserted into the groove from above and deformed by pressing or hitting so that it rests against the groove wall under elastic tension. The elasticity that can be achieved in this way is, however, only slight and does not guarantee reliable protection against the effects mentioned, ie the relative movements of the teeth.
The invention overcomes these difficulties. It relates to a slot seal on an electrical machine with alternating transverse zones made of magnetically conductive and magnetically non-conductive materials.
The solution according to the invention consists in that at least one part, which forms one of these zones, is glued to a tooth flank and that the material of one of the two zones is so elastic that within its elasticity limits, the operational fluctuations of the distance which can accommodate the tooth head flanks resting on the wedge.
Embodiments of the invention are shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 of the drawing.
The lock 2, which is composed of the two side parts 3 and 4 and the central part 5, is introduced into the open groove 1 of the stator of an electrical machine, which is only partially shown in FIG. The two side parts 3 and 4 are produced in a manner known per se from a magnetizable powder and a thermally stable hardenable plastic as a binder.
A plastic based on epoxy resin, which has a temperature resistance of at least 130 ° C., is preferably used as the binder. The middle part 5 consists of a temperature-resistant plastic, preferably silicone rubber, which is so elastic that it can absorb the operational fluctuations in the distance between the tooth tip flanks 6 and 7 resting on the wedge within its elasticity limits.
The side parts 3 and 4 are attached to a flexible bar 8. Made of metal or plastic by gluing Ver. A special thermally stable hardenable adhesive or the binding agent present in the side parts 3 and 4 can serve as the adhesive. The wedge-shaped parts 9 and 10 of the side parts 3 .and 4 are bonded to: the tooth tip flanks on the surfaces 11 .and 12 likewise by means of a hardenable binding agent.
Also. the bar 8 can be attached to the slot insulation 13 on its underside by means of an adhesive.
In order to introduce the lock into the groove, according to FIG. 2, the joint 14 between the two side parts 3 and 4 is left free and the bar 8 bonded to the side parts 3 and 4 is bent. Before the closure is inserted, the tooth tip flanks 6 and 7 are well coated with a hardenable adhesive. In the expanded joint 14 a sufficient amount of the elastic plastic forming the middle part 5 is given.
The flanks formed by the side parts 3 and 4, the joint 14, can be treated beforehand with an adhesive which improves the adhesion between the plastic and the side parts. After insertion into the groove, the closure is brought into: the final position according to FIG. 1 by radial pressure and, if necessary, held in this position by: a device until the adhesive points have hardened.
Instead of a viscous paste, a strip of an elastic plastic high temperature resistance can be introduced into the joint 14 after the sides of the joint 3 and 4 formed flanks of the joint were previously coated with the same adhesive with which the tooth tip flanks 6 and 7 can be coated.
In the case of small machines, it can be advantageous not to connect the individual parts of the lock to one another at first, but to introduce them individually into the groove and only glue them together and to the adjacent tooth flanks in the groove.
The joint between the two longitudinal parts can also be designed according to FIG. 3.
Curing agents can preferably be added to the elastic central part 5 in such a way that the elasticity is initially particularly high to facilitate the introduction of the closure.
By heat treatment, the hardening is carried to such an extent that the layer still has sufficient elasticity to absorb the relative movements of the tooth tips on both sides, but has greater strength compared to the initial state, which means that the locking seat is more secure is achieved.
The magnetically conductive zone can be arranged in the middle of the closure or to the side. It can also close directly to one of the tooth head flanks or to both tooth tip flanks if only one magnetically conductive longitudinal part is glued to the other tooth tip flank or if the magnetically conductive part is arranged between magnetically non-conductive parts.
The magnetically non-conductive zone can also consist of air, with both wedge parts being glued to the tooth head flanks, and the magnetically conductive part can be composed of sheet metal lamellas.
The magnetically and electrically non-conductive, elastic part connected to the magnetically conductive part by gluing can also be a hose made of heat-resistant material, as can be seen from FIGS. 4 and 5. In the open groove 15 of the stator of an electrical machine, only partially shown in FIG.
the groove lock 16, which is composed of the two parts 17 and 18, is introduced. The part 17 consists of a solid, magnetically conductive material, for example of pressed, magnetizable powder and the part 18 of a tube made of heat-resistant material, for example of silicone rubber. The tube 18 is glued to the tooth tip flank 19 and the fixed part 17 is glued to the tooth tip flank 20.
In addition, the hose 18 and the fixed part 17 are also glued to one another. A silicone adhesive, for example, optionally with a primer as an adhesion promoter, is used for bonding.
In order to obtain a tight fit of the groove lock, the tube 18 is widened by a filling 21 which is only introduced into the groove after the tube has been inserted. A hardening, heat-resistant plastic, which is pressed into the hose under pressure, can be used as the filling material. But it can also be a wire of appropriate strength, which consists of a heat-resistant plastic or a non-ferrous metal or steel, be introduced into the hose.
Also a combination of these consisting of different materials; Wires can be used. Several thin wires can be inserted into the hose and twisted into a stranded wire inside the hose, whereby the hose is also expanded.
As shown in FIG. 5, the elastic tube 22 can also be inserted between two magnetic parts 23 and 24.
The invention offers the following advantages: The closure according to the invention can absorb the considerable fluctuations in the groove width at tooth head height, with no risk of loosening in the groove or destruction of the closure. If the two side parts are glued onto an elastic strip, the fastener can be easily inserted and attached.
In addition, the transverse scattering is significantly reduced by dividing the closure into magnetically conductive and magnetically non-conductive zones. Despite the subdivision of the closure, its manufacture is simple.
