Description
Self-commutated inverter The invention relates to a self-commutated inverter with individual deletion of the main valves. According to the invention, one or more quenching capacitors are repeatedly used by switching over triodes to quench the main valves of different inverter phases.
A schematic embodiment of the invention will be described with the aid of a drawing. In FIG. 1, the quenching capacitor is connected to the means of tapping a direct current source feeding the inverter. In Fig. 1a an artificial center point has been created and connected to the quenching capacitor. In Fig. 2 a common quenching capacitor is provided for several main valves.
Fig. 1 shows a self-commutated alternating converter, which consists of a direct current source 1, for. B. a battery, a three-phase network R, S, T feeds. The quenching capacitor 2 is connected to the center point of the direct current source 1. The main valves 5, 6, 7 or 8, 9, 10 are extinguished via one of the respective extinguishing triodes 17, 18, 19 or 20, 21, 22. 4b and reversing throttles 3a and 3b.
In the self-commutated inverter, reactive current valves 11, 12, 13 and 14, 15, 16 are provided in a manner known per se. In order to prevent the charge of the capacitor, which is used to extinguish the main valves, from flowing off prematurely, blocking throttles 23, 24, 25 are required. The ignition timing of the reversing triodes can be selected so that the quenching capacitor 2 swings to the desired voltage between the values UB and UB. UB is the voltage of the direct current source.
If no direct current source is provided in the form of a battery, a center tap can consequently not be carried out, so the creation of an artificial center accordingly of Fig. 1a is possible. However, two additional capacitors 2a and 2b are then required. Apart from this difference, an arrangement of FIG. 1 a would have to be completed in accordance with the circuit of FIG.
In a continuation of the inventive concept, Fig. 2 shows an arrangement in which each main valve row 5, 6, 7 and 8, 9, 10 each has a quenching capacitor for itself. The main valves are again extinguished via the associated extinguishing diodes. With this arrangement, however, the two main rows of valves can be deleted independently of one another in any order. The ringing of the quenching capacitors takes place via ringing triodes and ringing chokes. The full capacitor voltage is used as a quenching voltage on the main valves.
The advantage of the described circuits compared to the circuits of known arrangements is that only one or two quenching capacitors with two oscillating chokes are required for a self-commutated inverter. In spite of the low cost, the inverter with gate control and the requirements placed on a pulse inverter are met.
