Vorteilhaft kann das Gebläsegehäuse an einem glockenartigen Träger befestigt sein, der einen das Gehäuse umgreifenden und mit diesem verbundenen Tragring aufweist, wobei weiter der Träger ein in Richtung der Gebläseachse sich erstreckendes, am Tragring anschliessendes mantelartiges Zwischenstück besitzt und dieses Zwischenstück in einen Veranke- rungsring übergeht, der seinerseits mit einer das Ge bläse umgebenden Wand verankert ist;
Turbo blower The invention relates to a turbo blower for the coolant of a gas-cooled nuclear reactor. Blowers of this type are already designed for very large drive powers, which can easily be in the order of magnitude of 20,000 hp.
Their task is to maintain the coolant circulation necessary to dissipate heat from the reactor core. The pressure level required for this usually enables a one- or two-stage design of the fan; However, in view of the desired flow rate, these are relatively large machines with considerable rotor diameters.
It is known that circulating fans of gas-cooled nuclear reactors are to be agreed with the reactor structure so that the bladed rotor, together with the intake and outlet housing part for the medium being conveyed, is located within a space that is usually several meters thick concrete wall of the reactor is enclosed. The stuffing box and the bearing part receiving the actual fan housing with the outwardly guided drive shaft is then located in a preferably cylindrical opening of the concrete structure and is anchored via a support structure in the wall of this water opening.
In a known Ausfüh tion, this support structure consists of a perpendicular to the fan axis provided circular support disc, which is immured with its outer circumference immedi ately in the concrete wall. At the inner edge of this disc, a mounting flange of the Ge housing is releasably attached.
For blowers of the type described, very high requirements are placed on the supporting device used to support the Ge blower, with the aid of which the blower is anchored in the concrete wall. In particular, thermal expansions or thermal stresses can lead to deformations which impair the hermetic seal that is usually present between the fan housing and Tragvorrich device. However, this calls into question the effect of this waterproofing device, but its task is to prevent radioactive products from escaping from the reactor's cooling circuit under all circumstances. The thermal stresses and deformations mentioned can also adversely affect the anchoring of the support device in the concrete wall.
The invention makes it possible to largely eliminate the described after parts. It is characterized in that at least individual surface parts of the carrier distributed over the circumference are exposed to a flow of coolant.
The invention makes it possible to reduce a heat flow through the carrier at least to such an extent that no thermal stresses or deformations that impair the anchoring or the tightness of the seal between the carrier and the mounting flange of the housing can occur. The carrier can expediently have cooling pockets which are provided with supply and discharge means for the coolant; It is thus possible to ensure that the coolant flows into the carrier in a forced manner.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment, a first cooling zone can be located in the area of the connection between the carrier and the fan housing, while a second cooling zone is provided in the area of the anchoring point of the carrier. It is useful to have means for supplying Kühlmit means of different temperatures in the two cooling zones.
The heat dissipation from the beam can then be measured individually for each cooling zone and, on the one hand, the heat transferred at the connection point between the beam and housing can be absorbed after a short distance, while the temperature of the concrete wall and that anchored in it in the other cooling zone Part of the carrier can be taken into account.
Advantageously, the fan housing can be attached to a bell-like support that has a support ring that encompasses the housing and is connected to it, the support also having a jacket-like intermediate piece that extends in the direction of the fan axis and adjoins the support ring and that this intermediate piece merges into an anchoring ring which in turn is anchored to a wall surrounding the blower;
The first cooling zone is then located on the support ring between a mounting surface for a mounting flange located on the blower housing and the transition to the jacket-like intermediate piece, while the second cooling zone is provided in the area of the transition from the intermediate piece to the anchoring ring. Such an embodiment of the carrier prevents thermal expansions and deformations of the support ring or the anchoring ring from being transferred to the other ring, and at the same time an element that is extremely suitable in terms of strength for absorbing the gas forces is obtained.
Here, the bell-like carrier can advantageously be cooled on the inside and have a heat insulation on the outside.
The invention and other related features and advantages are explained below with reference to the execution examples shown in the drawing. 1 shows a view of a single-stage, semi-axial turbo blower together with a support according to the invention shown in section; and FIG. 2 shows a view of the mounting flange for fastening the suction and outlet housing of the blower to the support.
The shaft 11 of the fan carries the impeller 13 occupied with running blades 12. The housing of the fan is composed of the bearing housing 14, which is attached to the housing part 15, which holds the stuffing box part in its interior. The fan housing also includes the intake and outlet housing 16. The medium to be circulated enters through the inlet connection 17 and, after passing through the blade ducts, reaches the outlet diffusers 18.
The fan acts as a circulating fan for the coolant of a gas-cooled nuclear reactor. For this purpose, it is located in a cylindrical opening 19, in one of the reactor core enclosing the several meters thick wall 20 made of prestressed concrete. On the gas side, the concrete wall 20 is preceded by a wall layer 21 made of lightweight concrete; Between wall 20 and layer 21 there is an intermediate layer 22 made of sheet steel. The shaft 11 is connected to a drive machine via suitable couplings, for example with a steam turbine or an electric motor. On the housing part 15 there is a mounting flange 23 which is releasably attached to the mounting surface 25 of the support ring 26 with the aid of the screw connection 24.
The support ring 26 forms a constituent part of a bell-shaped carrier; This further consists of the jacket-like intermediate piece 27 adjoining the outer circumference of the support ring 26, which merges into the anchoring ring 28, which is also part of the support. The ring 28 in turn is bricked in the wall 1_9 or in the concrete wall 20. The jacket-like intermediate piece is composed of the cylindrical section 27a, which is coaxial to the fan axis, and the conical section 27b that opens towards the drive side of the fan. The sections are connected to one another and to the rings 26 and 28 by weld seams.
The axial length of the jacket-like intermediate piece is approximately 0.7 times the inner diameter of the support ring 26; the axial length of the total th intermediate piece is expediently at least one third of this inner diameter. The intake and outlet housing designated as a whole by 16 is fastened to the support ring 26 independently of the rest of the fan housing, specifically with the aid of screws 29.
To prevent radioactive products from escaping into the space enclosed by the wall 19, the usual stuffing box section accommodated in the housing part 15 and also the seal 30 inserted between the flange 23 and the support ring 26 are used. The inside diameter of the support ring 26 is to be measured so that, with the exception of the housing 16, the entire fan, possibly including the rotor assembly, can be removed to the left through the openings enclosed by the wall 19 after loosening the screw connections 24.
According to the invention, a coolant flows against the surface of the carrier. For example, on the support ring between the mounting surface for the flange 23 and the transition to the jacket-like intermediate piece there is a circumferential Kühlta cal 32, to which a coolant - for example cooling water - is fed through the nozzle 33, which is then discharged again through the nozzle 34 becomes. This cooling bag dissipates a substantial part of the heat still incident in the support ring 26, so that a heat flow through the jacket-like intermediate piece is largely prevented. At the same time, the cooling pocket serves to cool the seal 30.
The cooling pocket 32 extends over the entire circumference of the support ring; In order to ensure that the coolant flows evenly out of the connection piece 33 on both sides, a dividing wall located in the connection piece can be provided, which divides the coolant on both sides.
A further cooling pocket 35 with connecting pieces 36 and 37 for the supply and discharge of coolant is located at the transition between the jacket-like intermediate piece part 27b and the anchoring ring 28. By appropriate selection of the temperature of the coolant fed into this cooling pocket, the anchoring ring can always be kept at the same temperature as the concrete wall 20. For this purpose, the two cooling pockets 32 and 35 are advantageously supplied with coolants of different temperatures.
The partition described for the connection piece 33 can also be provided here. The described Kühlan order enables a substantial reduction of thermal stresses.
In order to keep a heat flow in the support ring 28 as small as possible, the support ring and parts of the jacket-like intermediate piece are shielded from the housing parts 18 carrying the conveyed coolant by thermal insulation 31. This simultaneously fills the annular space between the outer surface of the jacket-like intermediate piece 27 and the sheet metal layer 22 or lightweight concrete layer 21 in such a way that convection currents within this annular space are prevented; this measure also contributes to preventing heat flow in the bell-shaped carrier.
In order to reduce the incidence of heat in the support ring 26, the diffuser part 18 does not rest over the entire circumference on the associated mounting surface of the support ring 26. According to FIG. 2, individual support shoes 38 are welded onto the mounting surface, so that the entire contact surface is only a fraction of the mutually facing flange surfaces.
The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment described. The bell-like carrier could also have a different shape and, for example, be cylindrical or cone-like over the entire length of the jacket-like intermediate piece or also form a surface of revolution that is formed by a curved generatrix. The housing 16 could, under certain circumstances, also be firmly attached to the support ring 26 by welding. Furthermore, the invention can also easily be applied to multi-stage or purely radial or axial fans. A coolant could also flow onto the carrier only on individual surfaces distributed in the circumferential direction. A liquid or a gas can be used as the coolant.
