Cross-flow fan In the cross-flow fan according to the patent claim of the main patent, which is characterized in that the open rotor arc between the two housing points, between which the pressure chamber begins on the rotor circumference, is more than 1800 and that the housing enclosing the pressure chamber is spiral - Has a shape such that the mean streamline is deflected from the suction chamber through the rotor axis to the exit from the pressure chamber by more than 1300, and furthermore,
that the inside of the rotor is free of built-in components and that the rotor circumference is free of built-in structures that extend along the rotor circumference, the increased pressure is generated by an intensive vortex.
In this compared to the known cross-flow blower increased vortex intensity, the vortex has the tendency to widen trainees towards the housing outlet, and this leads along the interior of the housing common to the suction chamber and the pressure chamber seteils to backflows, which affects both the pressure and the flow rate and adversely affects the efficiency.
This disadvantage is remedied according to the present invention in that the cross section of the pressure chamber from the pressure chamber and the suction chamber located on the rotor circumference, together at the edge of the housing belonging to it, narrows towards the outlet opening.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown. The rotor 2 is arranged in a housing 1, the outer wall of which has the shape of a spiral in cross section. The housing edges 3 and 4, which determine the pressure space on the rotor circumference, are located such that the rotor arc extends over an angle a of more than 1800. The middle line 5, which runs from the center of the suction chamber inlet through the rotor axis and from this through the middle of the pressure chamber 7 to the middle of the pressure chamber outlet, is deflected by more than 130 ° from the inlet to the outlet.
The vortex 6 moves in the pressure chamber 7 as a function of the flow conditions prevailing in the pressure chamber. It has been shown that the aforementioned backflow can develop in the pressure chamber, which leads past the housing edge 3 from the Ro tor 2.
To prevent this phenomenon, the housing wall 8 leading from the housing edge 3 to the pressure chamber outlet is designed such that it rises towards the pressure chamber 7 and towards the pressure chamber outlet. As a result, the cross-section of the pressure space is narrowed from the edge 3 outwards.
The wall can be flat, but it expediently forms a surface that has an S-curve in cross-section, as shown in the drawing.
The narrowing of the cross section from the edge 3 to the pressure chamber outlet is expediently approximately 20% of the diameter of the rotor.
The housing wall 8 can also have openings 9 or a porous piece to reduce the backflow and to stabilize the vortex 6 on the wheel 2.
To guide the fluidized beds, a guide element can also be arranged in the pressure space, which guides the flow towards the rotor 2, which also serves to stabilize the fluidized position. This guide member can for example be formed as a guide vane 10 from. Instead of the narrowing of the cross-section shown and described in the drawing by means of the shape of the wall 8, another measure can be taken which fulfills the same purpose, e.g. B. a special shape of one of the other housing walls in the area of the exit from the pressure chamber.
