Steering device for semitrailers The invention relates to a steering device for semitrailers, in which the axle or the Achsag gregat of the semitrailer is controlled by means of a steering cable from the saddle connection.
There are already steering devices of this type be known in which the steering cable runs over a pulley which is connected to a turntable, which in turn is mounted by means of a pendulum axle on the Fahrge alternate the tractor. This arrangement has the disadvantage that when the semi-trailer is detached and saddled, the pendulum axle bearing block or the slewing ring must be dismantled or assembled. If necessary, the steering cable must also be released. This work is not only cumbersome and time-consuming, but can also lead to an impairment of driving safety if carried out incorrectly.
The aim of the invention is to eliminate these disadvantages and, moreover, to achieve further advantages.
The invention consists in that the rope sheave receiving the steering rope is attached to a support plate carrying the king pin of the saddle connection, which rests on the coupling plate of a fifth wheel arranged on the chassis of the tractor and which is connected to the king pin in the The pivot bearing of the coupling plate engages, which is open to the rear and merges into a catch mouth, into which a wedge body connected to the support plate can be inserted, while the slewing ring upper part of a slewing ring is connected to the semitrailer frame, the lower part of which is attached to the pulley.
The technical progress achieved by the invention is primarily seen in the fact that the semi-trailer can be hitched up and unhitched in the usual way despite the arrangement of the axle steering device, without any special assembly work or intervention in the steering connection being necessary are. The semi-trailer is normally retracted with its kingpin through the coupling jaw of the fifth wheel into its Zap fenlager and locked automatically.
On the other hand, it is sufficient to release the lock for unsaddling, whereupon the semi-trailer with its kingpin can be extended normally from the fifth-wheel coupling again. During these processes, both the turntable and the pulley with the steering cable remain unchanged in their position on the chassis of the semitrailer.
The lower part of the slewing ring can expediently be attached to an intermediate plate, which in turn is connected to the top of the pulley. This makes it possible to arrange slices of any size required for the respective steering angle. The size of the required steering angle depends essentially on the length of the trailer Sattelan and the required cornering.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the wedge body, which can be inserted into the mouthpiece, can be mounted on the support plate so as to be longitudinally displaceable by means of elongated holes and screw bolts and can be readjusted by means of an adjusting screw. Since the jaws of the coupling plates have tolerances when they are generally manufactured by casting, such readjustment or setting of the wedge body is important because the wedge body must be firmly in place at the moment in which the bolt of the coupling mechanism conclusion closes. In the drawing, the invention is illustrated in one embodiment example and schematically.
Fig. 1 shows a partially broken plan view of a steering device according to the invention, while Fig. 2 shows a section through the steering device along the line A - B of Fig. 1 shows.
On the chassis 1 of a tractor unit, not shown in detail in the drawing, the bearing blocks 2 of a fifth wheel are attached, which support the pendulum axle 3 of the fifth wheel. This swing axle can be used in any way, for. B. from elastic rule bearings, rubber bearings o. The like. Or from hemispherical bearing shells or from axle journals, etc. be gebil det. A coupling plate 4 is tiltably mounted around the pendulum axis 3 , which has a central journal bearing bore 5 , which is open to the rear and in a catch 6 </ B> opens (Fig. 1).
In the journal bearing bore 5 of the coupling plate 4 engages a king pin 7 , which is attached to a support plate 8 , which is free on the coupling plate 4 rests. A wedge body 9 is connected to the support plate 8 and can be inserted into the catch mouth 6 of the coupling plate 4. The wedge body 9 expediently has elongated holes 10 which engage in the screw bolts 11 , which fasten to the support plate 8 are. As a result, the wedge body 9 can be displaced in the fanginaul 6 in the longitudinal direction of the device.
Behind the wedge body 9 , a support bearing 12 is welded to the support plate 8 , into whose threaded hole 13 an adjusting screw 14 is screwed. By screwing in the adjusting screw 14 more or less deeply, the basement body 9 can be adjusted and tightened in the muzzle 6 .
A rope pulley 15 is attached to the support plate 8 , e.g. B. screwed on by means of bolts 16 . A steering cable 17 runs over the pulley 15 , the ends of which are cast into the conical recesses of retaining blocks 19. The retaining blocks 19 are inserted into cutouts in the pulley 15 and are secured in these cutouts by brackets 20.
On the top of the pulley 15 is an intermediate plate 21, for example. B. Fasten with the help of bolts 16 . The slewing ring lower part 22 of a slewing ring is in turn fastened on the intermediate plate 21, the slewing ring upper part 23 being connected to the semitrailer frame 24.
The steering cable 17 is guided backwards in the semitrailer frame 24 and connected to a pulley which steers the axle or the axle assembly of the semitrailer according to the angle of the semitrailer tractor. This axle part of the trailer Sattelan can also be designed in a manner known per se and is therefore not shown in detail in the drawing.
The operation of the steering device according to the invention is as follows: In Fig. 1 and 2, the steering device is in the saddled position of the semitrailer Darge provides. The bolt 25 securing the king pin 7 in the pin bearing bore 5 is released to unsaddle it.
The tractor unit is then extended in the usual way, with the king pin 7 and the wedge body 9 from the catch mouth 6 of the fifth wheel coupling plate 4 to the rear slide out. The unhitching process has already ended. The saddling up is the other way around. After inserting the bolt 25 , the steering device is immediately functional again without any additional installation work having to be carried out.
The invention is of course not limited to the embodiment described above and illustrated in the drawing, but it includes all variants within the scope of the inventive concept He.
