Torsionally flexible coupling The invention relates to a torsionally flexible coupling with a rubber-elastic ring body which is stressed on torsional thrust and which is firmly connected to an inner and outer ring for introducing and discharging the torque.
Torsionally flexible couplings are known, which are connected between a metallic drive and output part by a rubber-elastic ring body, and seen radially taper ver to the outer edge, namely the width of the ring body to the outside decreases so much that it is inversely proportional to the corresponds to the second power of the mean radius of the rotational body, if the tension in the rubber-elastic ring body should be the same everywhere.
In order to have a very soft coupling that allows about 25 rotation at nominal torque, as is necessary for ship shafts or motor vehicle drives, a very thick ring body must be present in the radial direction because the angle of rotation corresponds to the slip angle z. B. in rubber and the rubber thickness is proportional. A thick ring body can not bias sufficiently to pressure, because z. B. the volume-stable rubber when compressed, for example by radial contraction of the outer ring, gives way to the side without causing significant compressive stresses in the rubber.
Furthermore, achieving a compressive pre-tension is made more difficult because the rubber width decreases towards the outside and only a narrow adhesive surface is available.
There are also torsionally flexible couplings be known, in which the rubber-elastic ring body is divided by vulcanized intermediate rings. Thus, although the transverse extent of the z. B. volu men-resistant rubbers reduced at compressible load, but the high fatigue strength of the shear stressed, z. B. a ring body made of rubber, which is only sufficient due to pretensioning and is required for highly stressed clutches, is therefore not given.
The object of the invention is to provide a torsionally elastic coupling which has a high durability and great torsional elasticity, d. H. elastic twist angle of at least. 12 to 30 mastered at the nominal torque occurring.
For this purpose, the invention provides that the rubber-elastic ring body is divided into several disks by at least one vulcanized intermediate ring, that these disks, the intermediate ring and the inner and outer rings are designed conically, that the disks decrease in their axial length towards the outside and that the disks, the intermediate ring and the inner and outer rings form axially symmetrical halves, the disks of which can only be prestressed under pressure by axially clamping two opposing inner or outer rings against each other.
The pressure bias z. B. in rubber metal elements are crucial for the fatigue strength torsionally stressed rubber. It directs the rubber molecules, eliminates the shrinkage stresses in the rubber and creates frictional adhesion on the adhesive surfaces that is sufficient for power transmission even with poor adhesion between rubber and metal and supports the latter in any case. The intermediate rings, which are conically shaped, e.g.
B. are vulcanized into the rubber, prevent the very thick rubber from experiencing a transverse expansion under compressive preload, and thus have a significant compressive rigidity. In addition, the vulcanized intermediate rings also the z. B. Rotary thrust occurring in the rubber tensions again evenly share on the rubber ver. This effect is increased by the fact that the individual rubber-elastic disks decrease in their axial length towards the outside.
The essence of the new type of coupling lies in the combination of the ring body, which is subdivided by vulcanized intermediate rings and is thick in the radial direction, e.g. B. made of rubber, in individual discs with a conical arrangement of the discs and the inner, outer and intermediate rings, the division into two axially symmetrical halves and the special type of biasing of all discs by axially contracting the outer rings. This combination achieves a previously unattained high torsional elasticity and high fatigue strength.
The cross-sections of the individual disks can advantageously be offset from one another in steps, and the cross-section of the individual disks can form a trapezoid or parallelogram in the unstressed state. This special design of the cross-sections results in a favorable stress curve.
A further embodiment of the coupling according to the invention can consist in the fact that the conical intermediate rings dividing the ring body protrude in a manner known per se from the rubber-elastic disc, that the inner, outer and intermediate rings of one or both of the coupling elements belong together cylindrically towards the center run and that the end faces of the rubber-elastic disks facing the parting line move away from one another towards the outside. When the two coupling halves of a coupling are braced, the disks become a little spherical and fill the space that is formed by the protruding inner, outer and intermediate rings.
As a result, the two end faces of the rubber-elastic discs of the coupling halves clamped next to one another only press so strongly against one another that the discs remain in their position and the preload is achieved by the outer and inner rings. So the desired favorable tension curve in the rubber-elastic material is disturbed and the two coupling elements give a solid unit that is elastic despite the.
The drawings illustrate the invention using various exemplary embodiments.
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a hitch treatment in the installed state.
FIG. 2 shows the side view of the coupling according to FIG.
Fig. 3 shows a longitudinal section through two coupling halves, in the non-prestressed state.
Fig. 4 shows the longitudinal section of a further imple mentation of the clutch, in the preloaded to stand.
5 to 8 show the longitudinal section of further embodiments of the coupling.
Fig. 9 shows the cross section of a torsionally flexible coupling with fixed stops in the installed state. Fig. 10 shows a section along the line A-B of Fig. 9. According to Figs. 1 and 2, a rotationally flexible coupling is installed between a drive shaft 1 and an output shaft 2, which consists of two symmetrically formed halves. Each half has an inner ring 3, an outer ring 4 and an intermediate ring 5, which divides an annular body made of rubber into two annular rubber disks 6 and 7.
The rings 3, 4 and 5 and the rubber washers 6 and 7 of both coupling halves are conical and braced against each other in Fig. 1 by screws 8, so that in the rubber disks 6 and 7 a pressure bias is created. The coupling halves are shown in FIG. 3 in the non-pretensioned state, the angle a of the rubber washer 7 being so different from the angle of the rubber washer 6 that the angle / 3 is greater than the angle a. The rings 4 and 5 made of metal have a conical cross section only within the rubber washer 6 and 7. The outwardly protruding ends 9, 10 of the rings 4 and 5 are cylindrical.
Instead of an intermediate ring 5, two intermediate rings could also be provided.
According to FIG. 4, a torsionally flexible coupling consisting of two asymmetrical, but geometrically similar parts is attached to a drive shaft 1. Each coupling part has an inner ring 3a or 3b, an outer ring 4a or 4b and an intermediate ring 5a or 5b, which is an annular body made of rubber in two annular rubber washers 6a and 7a or 6b and 7b . The metal rings 3a, 4a, 5a or 3b, 4b, 5b are designed conically.
Their conical angle of attack increases towards the outside, so that the conical boundary surfaces of the ring-shaped rubber disks 6a, 7a and 6b, 7b are located in the vertices 8a and 8b on the axis of rotation hit the clutch. The outer conical metal rings 3a, 4a, 5a or 3b, 4b, 5b are cylindrical towards the center. The end faces of the ring-shaped rubber disks 6a, 6b and 7a, 7b, which lie towards the center, move away from one another towards the outside.
Fig. 5 shows a left coupling half, which is shown with dashed lines, in the not pre-tensioned state and is then by joining with the right coupling half shown in Fig. 6 in the position with solid lines is provided. The intermediate rings 5c are held in the shape of a truncated cone in cross-section and are set against one another with their conical bottoms. The inner rings 3c can be tensioned against one another with their narrow annular surfaces, so that the compressive pre-tensioning is achieved by tensioning them and by tensioning the outer rings 4c together.
Fig. 7 shows the left half of a further coupling, which half, shown with dashed lines, is in the non-prestressed state and is then by joining with the right coupling half shown in Fig. 8 in the position shown in solid lines. This coupling is equipped with intermediate rings 5d, these intermediate rings 5d are placed against each other with the narrow truncated cone sides for pressure biasing and the pressure bias is carried out by their clamping against each other.
According to FIGS. 9 and 10, a metallic drive plate 10 is arranged between two symmetrical coupling halves with the conical inner rings 3e, the outer rings 4e, the intermediate ring 5e and the annular rubber disks 6e, 7e. This drive plate 10 is connected to the inner rings 3e in a rotationally locked manner by pins 11. The drive plate 10 carries ring segment-shaped elevations 12, which engage in corresponding recesses in the intermediate rings 5e and come to a stop at the end when there is greater rotation.
Between tween the flanges of the conical outer rings 4e, a ring 13 is riveted, which is seen with cams 14 ver. The latter engage in corresponding recesses 15 in the drive plate 10 and limit the total elastic rotation of the coupling. The arrangement shown allows the individual rubber disks to be switched off one after the other, and therefore a progressive spring diagram of the clutch can be achieved.
Of course, any other rubber-elastic material can be used for the coupling instead of rubber.
