Arrangement for attaching baseboards Baseboards are usually made of wood or a synthetic material with similar properties and are nailed or screwed in the throat between the wall and floor. However, the head of the nail or screw can be seen from the outside, and nailing is completely impossible with hard masonry.
A hanging of the baseboards by means of devices attached to their underside in corresponding counter-elements can only be achieved with relatively complicated arrangements, and secure, uniform attachment with tight contact with appropriate tension on the floor on the one hand and on the wall on the other hand is not or only difficult to reach.
It is the underlying task of the invention to create an arrangement for BEFORE term of baseboards through which a baseboard can be securely fastened in tight contact with the wall and floor without additional foreign components in a simple manner.
This is achieved according to the invention in that the skirting board has a rib with a mushroom-shaped profile on its rear side and that wall dowels that can be blown by hitting a nail in their bore are provided with an elastically flexible, pliers-like head in which the bar with a mushroom-shaped head Cross-section together with the driving nail of the dowel can be pressed in such that the pliers-like head engages around the rib with the mushroom profile and holds it when the driving nail is pressed into the dowel.
It is known to press dowels, so-called expansion dowels, inserted into a hole in the wall against the hole walls by pressing in a body, usually a screw, and thus to fix the dowel in the hole in the wall. Snap connections are also known, through which ribs with a thickened cross section attached to the back of most lei on the free edge in pliers-like fastening elements can be hooked on a surface and thus the lei can be attached.
In any case, however, the fastening elements must first be firmly attached to the surface, and only then can the rib sitting on the bar be hooked. So there are usually two separate work steps necessary, which are cumbersome because of the installation in the ground cover. Working with baseboards leads to particular difficulties. Due to the combination according to the invention, only one work step is required and thus the attachment of baseboards. very much simplified.
The arrangement according to the invention can e.g. a baseboard designed as a plastic profile can be securely attached by simply hitting it at the same time as driving the dowel open.
By appropriately arranging the height of the wall dowels and the height of the bar with a mushroom-like cross-section and the pincer-like head of the dowel in relation to the corresponding contact edges on the skirting board, the skirting board with possibly elastic contact edges can be tightly attached to the floor on the one hand and to the wall on the other be pressed.
The pliers-like head is preferably provided with wolf-tooth-like pliers jaws. The headed dowel preferably consists of one. resilient plastic.
In order to facilitate the hammering of the driving nail into the dowel at the same time as pressing in the baseboard, the bar with a mushroom-like cross section preferably has a flat outer edge. The profile of the skirting board is preferably S-shaped with a flat middle part and with an abutment rib in the edge area opposite the one leg area on the rear side at the same height as the leg projecting in the same direction, the bar with a mushroom-shaped cross-section between Anla ribs and the in the same direction bent leg of the S-profile lies.
The clear distance between the tooth-like projections can be so large that after a press of the driving nail with the head between the edge of the head and the free inner edge of one of the projections a gap with a width approximately equal to the width of the stem section of the mushroom-shaped Profillei ste corresponding width consists, through which the head part of the rib by elastic deformation of the dowel head and / or the mushroom profile up to the contact of the surfaces on the fastening rib under the head of the nail on the one hand and the corresponding before jump on the other hand can be pressed.
The gap formed between the pliers projections is preferably offset from the longitudinal axis of the dowel.
The invention is tert erläu below with reference to the drawings of exemplary embodiments.
Fig. 1 shows a section through the fastening arrangement according to the invention prior to pressing the baseboard into the dowel head.
FIG. 2 shows the arrangement according to FIG. 1 after attaching the baseboard.
FIG. 3 is a view similar to FIG. 1 and shows a modified fastening arrangement according to the invention.
The baseboard 3 is to be attached in the groove between the wall surface 1 and the floor 2. This skirting board consists of an S-shaped plastic profile, one of which is bent outward leg 4 can lay on the floor, woge conditions the other leg 5 bent towards the wall is applied to the wall 1. In order to ensure a parallel position to the wall of the middle, straight part 6 of the footrest, a spacer bar 7 is arranged in the area of the lower leg 4, which protrudes from the middle part 6 at the same height as the leg 5 facing the wall.
Between the leg 5 and the spacer bar 7, a fastening rib 8 is provided with a mushroom-shaped cross-section.
In a corresponding hole in the wall by means of a nail 9 inflatable Mauerdü bel 10 is inserted. The wall plug has a pincer-like head, the pincer jaws 11 of which are provided with wolf-tooth-like projections 12. The base plate 13 of the dowel head resting against the wall is approximately square.
To attach the skirting board, dowel holes are drilled into the wall at appropriate intervals and the dowels are inserted so that the slot between the wolf-tooth-like projections 12 is horizontal and the center line of the mushroom-shaped fastening rib 8 is slightly above the center axis of the dowel hole. It is then inserted by hand into the dowels of the driving nail 9 made of iron or plastic or wood.
Then the baseboard 3 is placed in such a way that the fastening rib 8 rests with its plane 14 on the head of the driving nail 9, and the driving nail together with the baseboard is driven by light blows on its outside until the wolf tooth-like projections 12, as in Fig. 2 shown, hook behind the corresponding inne Ren surfaces 15 of the mushroom-shaped fastening rib.
Because the center line of the fastening rib 8 is slightly above the center line of the dowel hole, after hooking the mushroom-shaped fastening strip in the dowel head, the lower leg 4 of the S-shaped skirting profile is bent slightly upwards so that it is elastically tight against the Floor presses.
At the same time, the distance between the surfaces 15 and the connecting line between the vertical edges of the upper S-leg 5 and the distance bar 7 is slightly larger than the distance between the inner surface of the wolf-tooth-like projections 12 and the underside of the base plate 13 of the dowel head. This ensures that the upper leg 5 of the S-profile also presses itself resiliently against the wall 1 with light pressure in the fastening position shown in FIG.
In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the gap formed between the wolf-tooth-like projections 12 is so wide and offset so far upwards against the longitudinal axis of the dowel 10 that the head 9 'of the driving nail 9 made of rigid material is pushed in under the one Protrusion 12 approximately on the side surface of the pliers jaw 11 applies, and between its gegenlie ing edge and the free edge of the other before jump 12 a gap for pressing the rib 8 remains.
When the baseboard is hit, the head section 14, 15 of the rib pushes itself through the gap formed between nail head 9 'and projection 12 into the position shown in FIG. 3 due to its own elastic deformation and that of the adjacent pliers jaw 11. With this arrangement, it is sufficient that the rib 8 is supported on at least one side against a rigid support, and therefore an even greater resistance is opposed to its extraction from the dowel head than when, as in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the surfaces 15 are supported on both sides against the undersides of the projections 12 and the nail 9 is fully pressed into the dowel.
It is possible to bring a baseboard made of a very bil lig manufacturable extruded plastic profile, regardless of the nature of the wall and the floor, completely tight fitting. This attachment can be done very easily by drilling dowel holes, the tolerances to be maintained being relatively large, since compensation can be made due to the elasticity of the plastic.
This is particularly important when laying the baseboard on wall surfaces that contain hard concrete, clinker bricks or the like from a relatively large gravel component, in which nailing is excluded at all. It is inserted extremely quickly and can also be carried out by unskilled workers without difficulty. The skirting board securely seals against cleaning water, dust and other soiling, especially against vermin.
Since the fastening rib 8 with a mushroom-shaped cross-section extends continuously over the entire baseboard, the fastening elements on the wall on the one hand and on the baseboard on the other hand do not need to be coordinated with one another, so that the laying can be countered extremely quickly.
