Device for regulating the tension of a wire or filament The invention relates to a device for regulating the tension of a wire or filament, on or on which, for example by a winding device, a train is exerted, with a counter-restoring force transversely to the direction of travel the wire or filament movable deflection element for the wire or
the filament and a brake, the effect of which depends on the position of the deflector.
In known devices of this type, the wire or the filament runs behind the deflecting roller designed as a deflection roller over a brake roller around which it is looped.
The brake roller is rotatably connected to a brake disc around which a brake band runs, one end of which is connected to a fixed point and the other end of which is connected to the transversely displaceable axis of the deflection roller. is
so that its tension and thus the braking effect on the brake disc and the brake roller connected to it depends on the position of this axis.
This known device further comprises a shoe brake which is arranged in the path of the wire or filament in front of the deflection roller and exerts an adjustable, approximately constant braking pressure on the wire or filament, through which the tension of the wire or
Filament received and largely kept away from the wire or filament entering the device. becomes.
These known devices have various disadvantages. On the one hand, in order to avoid slippage, it is necessary that the wire or the filament is looped 11/4 to 2 times around the brake roller, whereby the run running on the brake roll and the run running off it can rub and damage each other; in the case of insulated wires, for example, the insulating varnish can be rubbed off.
Furthermore, when the throughput speed of the wire or filament is increased, in addition to the deflecting roller, the brake roller and the brake disc connected to the water must be accelerated so that the wire or filament is subjected to additional tension; this means that the device can be used, for example, for winding. very thin wires with high speeds that can be achieved within a short time.
Furthermore, the braking with constant braking pressure required to keep the wire or filament running over the braking roller taut reduces the range in which the braking forces effective in the device can be changed.
The aim of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages and to create a device which is suitable for regulating the tension when winding very fine wires and filaments at high speeds and short start-up times.
For this purpose, according to the invention, the brake is designed as a shoe brake exerting a brake pressure that changes depending on the position of the said deflecting element directly on the wire or the filament.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically, namely a device for regulating the tension of very fine wire, for example copper wire with a diameter of about 0.005 to 0.03 mm, the tension of the wire on an example, in the range of 0 , 5 to 20 grams of adjustable value should be regulated before the wire with the set tension to a coil, e.g.
B. a moving coil for a. electrical measuring instrument, is wound up. The winding takes place at a speed of up to 10,000 rpm. can be and u when starting the winding device. U. is reached in 5 seconds.
The wire 1 is fetched from a container (not shown) with practically no tensile force and is passed through a sapphire nozzle 2 when it enters the device. From there he runs between tween the jaws of a shoe brake 3 through a pulley 4 and from there at an obtuse angle to the original direction to a winder, not shown, which exerts a train on him.
The pulley 4 sits on a shaft 5 which is mounted in a tube 8 by means of miniature ball bearings at 6 and 7. This forms one side of a rectangular frame, which also consists of two parallel levers 9 and 10 and a web 11 parallel to the tube 8 and with means of an axis 12 connected to the levers 9 and 10, also parallel to the tube 8 in the not shown Housing of the device at 13 and 14 is pivotally mounted.
Thanks to this mounting of the frame 8-11, the common axis of the deflection roller 4, its shaft 5 and the tube 8 can be displaced transversely approximately in the direction in which the thread 1 runs up and down on the deflection roller 4. The train acting on the thread 1 seeks to pivot the frame 8-11 clockwise; in the opposite sense, however, an adjustable restoring torque is exerted on the frame 8-11 by a spiral spring 15.
This spring is attached with its inner end 16 outside the bearing 13 on the axle 12, with its outer end 17 on a dial 18 rotatably mounted in the housing so that it can be more or less tensioned by turning this dial.
A rod 19 is articulated on the web 11 of the frame 8-l1, the other end of which engages an arm 21 seated on a shaft 20; this shaft is mounted at 22 in the housing of the device and carries the one with a felt lining 23 = new jaws 24 of the shoe brake 3. The other, with the jaw 24 cooperating jaw 25 of this brake has a rubber lining 26 and is fixed to the housing connected.
By the coil spring 15 seeks to pivot the frame 8-11 ent counterclockwise, it presses by means of this frame, the rod 19, the arm 21 and the shaft 20, the movable jaw 24 of the shoe brake 3 against the fixed jaw 25 the wire 1 braked between the linings 23 and 26 of the two jaws, so that the tension exerted on the outgoing strand of the wire 1 is only transmitted to a small extent to the strand entering the brake 3.
To the extent that the torque caused by the weight of the pulley 4, its shaft 5, the tube 8 etc. and acting on the frame 8-1l exceeds the opposing torque caused by the weight of the web 11, the rod 19 and part of the arm 21 , it is balanced by a counterweight 27 attached to the rod 19.
The spiral spring 15 is set so that the shoe brake 3 maintains the desired tension in the strand of the wire 1 extending from it via the pulley 4 and at the same time keeps the frame 8-11 in balance with the pulley 4 when this desired tension is in the wire 1 prevails.
If the tension in the wire 1 increases beyond this desired and set value, either because of the increased wire requirement of the winding device, after which the wire goes from the deflection roller 4, or because of insufficient wire feed to the shoe brake 3 same wire requirement of the winder,
so the deflection roller 4 seeks to move against the force exerted by the coil spring 15 and to pivot the frame 8-11 clockwise. This reduces the braking pressure exerted on the wire by the coil spring 15 via the frame 8-11, the Stan ge 19, the shaft 20 and the jaws 24 and thus the tension of the wire in the area of the pulley 4, but at the same time that of the increased in the jaw brake 3 incoming wire.
As a result, the voltage of the wire going out of the device is adjusted to the set value again and the supply of the wire to the device is intensified to the extent required.
If the tension of the wire 1 decreases to below the set value, for example because of reduced wire requirements of the winder or because of excessive supply of wire to the device, the spring 15 seeks to rotate the frame 8-11 counterclockwise and apply the braking pressure between the Reinforce jaws 24 and 25. The wire 1 is then more tightly tensioned by the pulley 4 and its feed is stopped.
Instead of the rod 19 and the arm 21, a flexible tension band could be provided to transfer the movement from the frame 8-11 to the shaft 20 of the brake 3, which runs from the web 11 over a cam disk seated on the shaft 20. By appropriate design of the profile of these curves disc, a desired variable dependency of the brake pressure of the shoe brake 3 on the wire 1, so a progressive control can be achieved.
According to a further variant not shown in the drawing, instead of the deflecting roller 4 mounted with its shaft 5 in the tube 8, a deflecting member fixed to the frame 8-11 or to a corresponding double-armed lever, e.g. B. a guide pin or a guide eyelet can be provided with a smoothly polished surface.
The friction of the wire on such an organ can be greater than the friction that acts on the wire on a deflection roller. In contrast, when loading the wire passage on such an organ, there are no inertial forces that increase the tension of the wire, and these organs can be made with a lower weight than rotatable rollers.
A deflecting element or a deflecting roller should be understood here to mean an organ or a ratchet over which the wire or the filament can be guided in such a way that a change in its running direction takes place and on which or at which a transverse force is thus caused by the tension in the wire or the filament.
