Collapsible dipole or folding dipole antenna In order to keep the losses on the antennas and antenna feed lines to receiving devices of electromagnetic oscillations small, it is necessary to match the impedances of these elements to the input impedance of the receiver.
The antennas known to date, which have a certain impedance, were usually connected to the antenna line by means of impedance transformers. The present invention aims to create an antenna which is suitable for connection to receiving devices with different input impedances without the use of impedance transformers.
The inventive collapsible dipole or folding dipole antenna is characterized by a two-part coupling piece, one part of which supports the dipole in an articulated manner and the other part is designed for connecting the antenna cable, where the two parts of the coupling piece can be plugged into one another in two different positions, so that the antenna in one of these positions has a lower impedance, e.g. B. 60 ohms, and in the other a higher impedance, z.
B. 240 ohms.
The dipole is hinged to part of the coupling piece so that it can be collapsed, which is advantageous for shipping purposes.
The antenna can be equipped with reflectors and directors that can also be collapsed.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. 1 shows the part of the coupling piece carrying the dipole, FIG. 2 shows the other part of the coupling piece, FIG. 3 shows the coupling piece with the two nested parts, FIG. 4 shows a view from above of the part according to FIG ,
suitable for connecting a coaxial antenna cable, Fig. 5 the same part rotated by 1800, suitable for connecting a symmetrical flat antenna cable, Fig. 6 the articulated, rotatable attachment of the dipole, Fig. 7 schematically an antenna with 60 ohms Connection impedance,
and FIG. 8 schematically an antenna with 240 ohm connection impedance.
In Fig. 1, 1 shows the actual dipole, which is rotatably and releasably ver connected at the connection points 2, 3, 4 and 5 of one part 6 of the coupling piece 8.
2 shows the other part 7 of the coupling piece 8, which can be plugged onto the part 6 according to FIG.
The two parts 6 and 7 of the coupling piece 8 are shown plugged together in FIG.
The part 7 (FIG. 2) can be placed on the part 6 either in the position according to FIG. 4 or in that according to FIG. 5, whereby in one case the connection points 4 and 13, 5 and 14, 2 and 9 and 3 and 12, in the other case 4 and. 14, 5 and 13, 2 and 11 and 3 and 10 come into engagement with one another.
Depending on the position in which parts 6 and 7 are plugged into one another, the antenna has an impedance of 60 or 240 ohms.
Both FIGS. 7 and 8 are schematic representations of the antenna in the two plug-in positions of the coupling piece 8 for an impedance of 60 and 240 ohms, respectively.
