Process for packing women's stockings and a suitable device for this
The present invention relates to a method for packaging women's stockings and to a device suitable for this purpose. It is well known that stockings have always been sold in pairs so far, with the pairs of stockings mostly being packed in a transparent plastic bag. These pairs of stockings have either been placed around a stiff sheet in order to be more pleasing to the display and to be able to stack them better in the individual rather large and flat packs. It has also already been proposed to pack three stockings of the same type in such a flat bag, with the third stocking then serving as a replacement stocking if one of the pair's stockings is damaged.
It is also known to sell tightly folded stockings in pairs in small cardboard boxes which are approximately the size and shape of a cigarette box.
However, these mentioned packages have numerous disadvantages, some of which arise in the packaging process itself, i.e. H. thus in the company, occur or partly make themselves felt in the later process of selling and offering the goods. Due to climatic influences, such as humidity and temperature, and depending on the yarn used, the individual stockings are produced in different lengths despite the most precise settings of the knitting or knitting machines and must be sorted into appropriate lengths by hand. In this sorting process, the individual stockings of the same foot size that have been checked for errors by the examiner are then paired accordingly by the pair.
This pairing takes place in that the couple takes one stocking out of a pack of single stockings and compares them with about 8-12 stockings of different lengths that are lying on the table in front of her. For example, single stockings with a length of 78 to 85 cm are used for size 8¸, which then have to be assigned to one another with a tolerance of 10 to 20 mm. If the couple has found a stocking of the same length for the stocking that has been taken out of the pack, these two stockings are given to the bagler, who does the packing or bagging. This process is extremely time-consuming and uneconomical and is subject to the usual errors that occur when working without a machine.
It is also possible to carry out a machine pre-sorting in which the stockings are produced with a certain length tolerance, which may still be wearable for stockings II. Choice. In this pre-sorting, the stockings are in different packs, each with z. B. 3 cm in length difference, whereupon the annoying pairing or assignment must be carried out by the couple, for example, the tolerances required for stockings I choice of z. B. to achieve 10 mm.
From a sales and economic point of view, selling stockings in pairs is not practical, since if only one stocking is damaged, the other can usually no longer be used and remains unused as a single item. Even if you are able to supplement this single stocking with another pair and thus continue to use it, you will often not be able to just at the relevant point in time, i.e. H. So, for example, to get such a replacement pair after business hours.
A machine sale is only possible in special machines because of the size of the flat bags, whereby either uneconomical chamber machines with a larger goods chamber that can be opened from the outside after inserting money or special flat bag machines that are quite prone to failure are used. The vending machine sale of pairs of stockings in small packages fails because of the odd or too high prices, which cannot easily be managed by inserting money from machines, unless expensive machines with cash return are used. Furthermore, one has not yet been able to carry out the packaging process for the packaging of two pair of stockings for small packages so economically or even by machine.
The multiple folding of the stockings up to the size of a package of about 6 X 4 cm by hand is extremely time-consuming and often leads to damage to the stockings.
According to the present invention, a new method for packing stockings is now proposed, which is particularly suitable for packing individual stockings, but also makes packing in pairs in small packs economically and practically feasible. The method according to the invention is characterized in that a single stocking or the two stockings of a pair lying on top of one another are placed in a forwardly narrowing guide shell with the tip of the foot pointing forward and the tip of the foot part on a rotatable winding rod arranged in front of the guide shell, the axis of rotation of which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the stocking or the pair of stockings lies, is attached or clamped in them, whereupon the winding rod is rotated until the full length of the stocking has been wound up,
after which the rolled-up stocking is then packed in bags and / or boxes.
A foil bag and / or a cardboard box can preferably be put over the rolled up single stocking still on the wrapping rod or over the pair of stockings, pull this unit off the wrapping rod and close the resulting miniature pack.
The packaging process can be further facilitated by allowing the longitudinal folding in the upper part of the stocking or pair of stockings to take place in the guide shell and preferably supported by one or two guide brackets.
The device for carrying out the method is characterized by an approximately stocking-length guide shell with a cross-section narrowing towards the front, the side walls of which in the narrower front area are gradually brought together in a tunnel-like manner at the upper wall edges, and a rotatable winding rod arranged at a small distance in front of the outlet opening, the axis of rotation of which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the stocking or pair of stockings.
The winding rod is preferably designed as a flat plate and has an incision for clamping the tips of the feet of the stockings.
Furthermore, the winding rod can be rotated by a motor using a switching lever that is preferably operated by foot. To avoid slipping, a pressure plate, preferably made of resilient plastic, can be arranged parallel to the winding bar approximately at the distance of the radius of the wound socking roll. Finally, one or two spring-loaded clamping brackets can be arranged in the longitudinal direction above the guide shell.
In the following, the invention is to be explained in connection with the accompanying drawing, for example.
The stocking winder is mounted on a base plate 1 on which a clamping bridge 2 is attached, which holds the guide shell 3. The front end 4 of the guide shell tapers towards the front, with the side walls being bent upwards like a tunnel. The rear end 5 of the guide shell 3 is wider and corresponds approximately to the largest width of the stocking. The guide shell itself can be attached to the table via a clamping bridge 11. The already mentioned guide brackets are not shown, but run approximately in the longitudinal direction of the shell. In front of the mouthpiece of the guide shell, the winding rod 6 is attached at a corresponding distance, which has an incision for better reception of the stocking.
The width of the approximately 3 mm thick winding bar is adjusted so that the finished wound stocking fits into a correspondingly large small package. The winding rod 6 is connected via a shaft 7 to a belt pulley 8 which is operated by a motor via a V-belt 9. At a corresponding distance from the winding rod 6, a pressure plate 10 is also provided so that a well-rolled stocking results. All parts are preferably made of smooth plastic or plexiglass and have rounded edges so that the delicate fabric of the stocking is not damaged.
The device works as follows:
One or more pairs of stockings lie on top of each other on the table behind the guide or changing table with the double edges behind the wide part of the changing table and the feet behind the base plate. A couple is picked up together and placed flat in the changing table with both hands. The right hand pulls the couple through the opening of the changing tray and puts the tips of their feet into the slot of the changing rod. The left hand is free in order to be able to correct the correct position of the rest of the stocking length if necessary. The foot switch is actuated and the winding rod starts to rotate counter-clockwise. The right hand prevents the tips of the feet from sliding out of the slot in the wrapping rod. Then the stockings are pulled through the opening of the changing tray and rolled onto the changing rod.
Due to the shape of the changing tray, the edges of the pair of stockings are folded lengthways in such a way that the cord pulled out of the opening has and retains a width of about 6 cm. A regularly shaped stocking roll about 6 cm wide with an oval cross-section and about 4 cm largest in diameter is thus created on the winding rod. After pressing the foot switch again, the changing rod comes to rest. The pressure tongue holds the end of the pair of stockings firmly and prevents the stocking roll from opening. With the thumb and index finger of both hands, a foil bag is grasped at the flaps and, with the wrapping rod standing upright, the opening is put over the stocking roll and pressure tongue.
Then the blank of a folding box is pressed open and pushed over the filled bag.
Now the right hand pulls the carton with its contents off the wrapping rod, with the index and middle fingers next to the wrapping rod, pulling off the stocking roll. Both ends of the folding box are closed with both hands and the box is put down.
The stocking winder is then free for the next winding process.
With this device paired stockings 20 den, 30 den and Helanca, as well as any kind of single stockings can be packed. A polyethylene bag with the dimensions 97 X 75 mm with two 17 mm long flaps on the narrow side and a corresponding folding box can be used as outer packaging.
With the method according to the invention, it is now possible to pack stockings in pairs quickly and gently in small packs, so that vending machines can be sold.
But even the suggestion of the new arrangement of a single pack containing only one single stocking, which at first appears unusual due to the automatic rolling of a single stocking and the sale in a single pack, surprisingly eliminates the above-mentioned disadvantages both in the sorting of the stockings in the company and in the offering the same for sale. The annoying, time-consuming and therefore costly pairing of the stockings in the manufacturing plant is eliminated, so that the price for two individual stockings is lower than for a pair of stockings.
With such packaging of individual stockings, the previously necessary manual sorting can be omitted, and it is even possible to use automatic packaging machines to determine the length of the tested stocking, to fold it and / or roll it up and, if necessary, to wrap it with a transparent film and then pack it in a small folding or sliding box on which the length of the individual stockings has been marked beforehand.
In the case of the packaging described, it is up to the buyer whether and at what point in time he obtains the second replacement stocking if one stocking is damaged. An advantage is still noticeable here, which results from the packaging in small cardboard or plastic boxes. This is because such packets of the size of a cigarette packet can be offered for sale without difficulty in the already existing generally used machines with a chute. The buyer is therefore no longer forced to adhere to the general sales times as before, but can get a replacement stocking or two single stockings from the machine wherever machines are set up, such as at train stations, large squares, etc. Pull machines.
By selling a single stocking, the price can also be more easily matched to the machine.
