Two-layer damper winding for a synchronous machine, in particular a single-phase generator The main purpose of the damper winding in AC generators is to dampen any inverse rotating fields that may occur. These occur in three-phase generators only when the load is unbalanced, while they are always present in single-phase generators and therefore have to be permanently damped.
Since the damper windings of single-phase generators, in contrast to those of three-phase generators, are continuously energized, the formation of the cooling of the damper winding of single-phase generators is of particular importance.
It is known to design damper winding bars of turbo generators for the purpose of intensive cooling as a hollow conductor and to push the cooling medium through this hollow conductor. It is also already known that the conductors between which the cooling ducts of the stator winding of synchronous generators are arranged to be of different thickness in the radial direction, with the conductor facing the rotor having a greater thickness than the conductor facing the groove base. Such an arrangement reduces the current displacement effect and thus the copper losses in the winding are reduced.
The innovation has the task of reducing the copper losses of a damper winding of a synchronous generator, especially a single-phase alternator, and to create a favorable arrangement for dissipating the heat loss. According to the innovation, the bars of the two-layer damper winding located in a groove jointly contain at least one cooling gas duct which is symmetrical to the center of the bars in the circumferential direction, but is arranged shifted in the direction of the rotor axis relative to the radial center of the bars.
Exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in FIGS. 1-4.
In FIG. 1, the groove cross section of a cased winding conductor arrangement is shown in which the upper conductor 1 is designed as a solid conductor and the lower conductor 2 as a waveguide. The waveguide 2 is provided with an oval cooling channel. The cooling medium is passed through lateral openings at the exit points of the waveguide from the rotor body. Within the end windings, the lower conductor, which is designed as a waveguide in the rotor iron, is designed as a solid conductor to save space.
2 shows the groove cross-section of a damper winding conductor arrangement in which the upper bar is designed as a solid conductor and the lower bar is provided with a longitudinal groove on the side facing the upper bar.
In FIG. 3, the slot cross-section of a damper winding conductor arrangement is shown, in which the cooling channel 3 lies between the two profile conductors 1 and 2.
A modification of the conductor arrangement of FIG. 3 is shown in FIG. 4. Here the upper conductor 1 of FIG. 3 is divided into a solid conductor 4 and a profile conductor 5, which have the same cross section and the same profile, like the lower conductor 2 has. Such an arrangement has the advantage that only one type of professional conductor needs to be used for the damper winding.
The conductor arrangements shown in FIGS. 2 - 4, like the conductor arrangement shown in FIG. 1, can be formed in the winding head, where the profile conductors are replaced by solid conductors in the winding head . Under certain circumstances it can be useful to provide two or more cooling channels lying next to one another in each conductor pair lying in a groove. As a result, the damper winding can be made stronger against the compressive stress caused by the effects of centrifugal force.
