Circulating drum-shaped field magnet for dynamo machines.
In order to dissipate the heat from the winding directly while bypassing the iron, the width of the grooves over most of their depth has been made larger than that of the winding, so that a continuous gap is created between the winding and the iron the cooling air is guided. In Fig. 1 of the drawing, such a groove a is shown, in which the conductors, surrounded by insulation to secure the winding against lateral displacement, are inserted in a known manner. In the case of the groove c in FIG. 1, the expansion is only provided on one side. The cooling can now be further improved if the air flowing through the widening of the groove is brought into direct contact with the metal of the conductor over its entire length.
In Fig. 1, b shows a bundle in which the insulation on the sides of the conductors within the enlarged groove is omitted, and d one in which the air on one side can be brought into direct contact with the metal of the conductors. However, it is not possible at very high peripheral speeds of the field magnet. to hold such a winding in place. Rather be yourself. Slightly move the middle ladder against the outer one.
According to the invention, this shifting is now prevented in that the conductor cross-sections within the notes, e.g. B. be profiled by circular arc-shaped training or by rolling grooves. In Fig. 2 examples for cross-sections such profiled conductors are shown.
In order to prevent the profiled conductors from shifting in the event of particularly strong lateral loads (for example in the event of a short circuit in a generator), supports are still attached in some cases in the free slot space. As shown in FIG. 1 (e), these are designed like a frame to ensure a free passage for the air. As shown, these supports can also be used for conductors that are not profiled, but then have to be attached in large numbers and considerably prevent the passage of air.
Another means of securely fixing the bundle of conductors in an enlarged groove is to layer shims made of thin sheet steel or some similar rigid material between individual conductors, which are supported against the edge of the enlarged groove. They give the winding greater hold without significantly reducing the cross section for the air flow on the sides of the groove. Gravel enclosures must be profiled according to the shape of the ladder. Fig. 1 shows for the grooves and two simple
Arrangements of the winding in which circular arc-shaped profiles are used. Any other type of profiling can of course also be used.
Profiling is best done immediately before the winding arrives in the
Groove made by rolling.
