I, ien en matière souple
La fig. 1 représente un lien conforme à une première forme d'exécution de l'invention;
La fig. 2 est une vue partielle d'un lien du même genre;
La fig. 4 montre comment se déforment ces crans lors du blocage;
La fig. 5 montre la tête d'un lien dont l'ouverture de blocage est munie d'une fente;
La fig. 6 représente un lien dont le corps présente deux branches;
I, ien in flexible material
The subject of the invention is a link made of flexible material, comprising, on the one hand, a wide portion or head, in which at least one locking opening is provided, and on the other hand an elongated portion or body. comprising projections which ensure the locking of the link after introduction of the body thereof in said opening.
The realization of such links poses the problem of reconciling two requirements, a priori contradictory, namely: to obtain relatively easy penetration and sliding of the body in the locking opening with a view to tightening and loosening the link of a go. achieve effective locking on the other hand.
The present invention solves this problem and the link which is the subject thereof is characterized in that said opening has a relatively wide part located in the vicinity of its end closest to the body of the link and the greatest width of which is at more equal to the greatest width of said body, and a relatively narrow part located in the vicinity of its end furthest from the body of the link and whose smallest width is substantially equal to or less than the smallest width of said body, the transition between said narrow part and said wide part of the opening being provided by an intermediate part having two edges which diverge towards the body of the link.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, some embodiments of the invention.
Fig. 1 represents a link in accordance with a first embodiment of the invention;
Fig. 2 is a partial view of a link of the same kind;
Fig. 3 shows a shape of the profile of the notches with which the body is provided with such a link
Fig. 4 shows how these notches are deformed during blocking;
Fig. 5 shows the head of a link, the locking opening of which is provided with a slot;
Fig. 6 represents a link whose body has two branches;
Figs. 7 and 8 illustrate two examples of locking notches and lips of the locking orifice.
The link in fig. 1 and 2 is essentially remarkable for the shape of the locking opening 1 made in its head 2.
We see that this opening has the general shape of a trapezoid whose large base is on the side of the body 3 of the link. In fact, the trapezoid is extended on this side by a semicircle.
Said large base has a dimension at most equal to the greatest width of the part of the body 3 which has notches, preferably slightly less than this width, and the small base is of significantly smaller dimension, substantially equal to the smallest body width.
We realize that, under these conditions, due to the elasticity of the material which constitutes the link and the shape of the notches, the body 3 easily penetrates into the wide part of the opening 1; it slightly spreads the edges of the blocking opening and is immediately locked. Locking therefore does not require, in addition to the single gesture which ensures the closing of the link, any particular additional gesture by the operator. It follows that the locking is very rapid and is automatically well executed in all cases, without special care or skill on the part of the operator.
In addition, this locking is accentuated as soon as traction is exerted on the body of the link (which occurs both when it is released, due to its elasticity and under the action of the linked object) . Indeed, the two notches 4 and 5 then slide in the direction of the arrow (fig. 2) and the body of the link is vigorously stuck in the narrow part of the opening 1. It should be noted that this opening, by its proper deformation under the effect of traction, tends to bring its edges together, which then strongly tighten the body of the link, which further strengthens the locking.
Unlocking can advantageously be done by twisting the head of the link. I1 is facilitated by the rounding which ends the wide part of the blocking opening.
Of course, the shape of the latter may differ from that which has been shown without the operating mode which has just been described ceasing to be implemented. This mode of operation is essentially linked to the flaring of the locking opening towards the body of the link, and is characterized by a very rapid installation of the link.
According to a particularity of detail, the body and the head of the link have 6-7 asperities, so as to prevent the fingers from slipping; these asperities are placed at the places where the link is grasped when it is closed and opened.
Preferably, the body of the link is relatively rigid and its deformation is not sufficient to allow untimely sliding. Furthermore, the inclination of the face of the notches which rests on the edge of the blocking opening is preferably directed in a direction such that their deformation resulting from an attempted blocking increases the application surface on this. edge, as shown in fig. 3 and 4, in which the dotted line represents said edge.
In the embodiment illustrated by FIG. 5, the passage of the body 8 of the link in the locking opening 9 is facilitated by the presence of a slot 10 provided on the edge of this opening against which the body of the link rests during tightening.
This slot facilitates the widening of the opening, and therefore the passage of notches such as 11, of the body of the link.
Fig. 7 shows, in section along the axis x-x 'of FIG. 5, the profile that will be given preferably
to the branches 12-13 of the head of the link, if we want to prevent the slot 10 from interfering with the locking. This profile is complementary to the shape of the notches so that, in the direction of loosening (indicated by the arrow in fig. 7), they cannot slide on the lips 12a-13a of the locking opening ( as a result of their deformation and that of said lips) and cause them to move apart, which would harm the locking of the link.
It should be noted that with a link comprising this last execution feature, the body can be introduced in any direction into the locking opening.
Fig. 8 shows an alternative embodiment of the branches (12 'and 13') and notches (such as 11 ').
In this variant, the notches are very close together, which allows precise tightening since, whatever the length of the loop required, locking in a notch will practically always be possible.
It will be observed that the locking of the link will be further improved by chamfering the edge of the locking opening on which the body rests and by tilting the corresponding bearing surface of the notches in a complementary manner.
This feature has not been shown in the drawing.
The link shown in fig. 6 comprises a head 14 provided with a locking opening 15 and a body made, at least over a portion of its length, in two branches 16 and 17 joined by flexible connectors such as 18.
It is obvious that, when the body of the link is introduced into the blocking opening at the time of tightening, the branches 16 and 17 approach each other while remaining in the same plane (the connections, for example in V, n ' do not prevent this coming together), which reduces the width of the body and facilitates its sliding into the locking opening.
It is the same when loosening the link.
On the other hand, in the locked position, the body returns to its normal width and this is maintained by the connectors.
This feature allows links to be made from a relatively rigid plastic material, without the difficulty of tightening or loosening being too great. The links thus obtained provide better locking than links that are too flexible.
Note that, in the embodiment illustrated by FIG. 6, the opening 15 is not strictly trapezoidal, but that its side edges have a certain curvature: this allows the link to be lengthened during tightening, the opening then taking up substantially a trapezoidal or oblong shape.
This possibility of lengthening the link makes it possible to obtain correct tightening, even when the length of the loop necessary for this purpose is such that it ends between two successive tightening notches of the body of the link: it is then possible to tighten up to to the next notch, the desired loop length being obtained by this lengthening.
