Machine tool The invention relates to a machine tool, in particular for milling, drilling or the like, and relates to an advantageous development of the machine described in the claim of the main patent be.
The main patent relates to a machine tool with a receiving surface for the workpiece or for a workpiece clamping device and with a tool carrier which is adjustable in at least one horizontal feed direction, the receiving surface having an unchangeable slope to the horizontal feed direction of the tool carrier, such that it forms a flat surface facing away from the machine stand, the horizontal upper edge of which is normal to the horizontal infeed direction of the tool carrier.
With these types of machine, the guides on the workbench are exposed to strongly changing loads depending on the position and weight of the workpiece. The accuracy in the guides and consequently also in the machining is therefore heavily dependent on the spatial arrangement of the guides on the machine and on their length. In order to avoid undue stress on the guides, the equipping of machines of the same size type with workbenches of different dimensions, for example to take on oversized workpieces, is only possible within narrow limits, which means a disadvantageous restriction.
In addition, with the types of machine mentioned, the workpiece has to be adjusted during processing, which is laborious and cumbersome with heavy workpieces, especially with manual adjustment.
The aim of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages. This is achieved in that the machine stand itself or a part arranged on it, which is stationary during processing, has the receiving surface and is provided with horizontal guides for a support which, on the other hand, carries a gear box adjustable in height, in the horizontal in the third coordinate direction adjustable the tool carrier is mounted. Here, the horizontal guides of the support ports are preferably arranged on a vertical surface of the machine stand.
With this type of machine according to the invention, it is no longer necessary to move the workpiece during machining; rather, it rests on the receiving surface of the machine stand. Accordingly, very heavy workpieces can also be attached to the receiving surface without having to fear adverse loads in the guides. Furthermore, the infeed and feed movements of the tool with respect to the workpiece are independent of the workpiece weight.
The weight of the longitudinally displaceable support, the height-adjustable gear box and the transversely displaceable headstock attached to it is practically constant and, together with the predeterminable, maximum permissible cutting forces, results in a load that can be clearly determined and taken into account.
The torques occurring in the guidance of the support can thus be intercepted without difficulty, for example by an additional support surface of the support on the machine frame that is parallel to the support guides. In addition, with the construction according to the invention, the horizontal guidance of the support on the machine stand can be dimensioned as long as
that the vertical guidance of the gear box and therefore also the tool axis can be in any position of the support within the area of the horizontal guide surfaces of the machine stand. An excessive lateral torque generated by the machine parts protruding freely from the guide cannot occur here.
The receiving surface can also be located on a mounting plate that is adjustable and lockable on the machine stand parallel to the support guides. This particular arrangement brings the additional advantage of a frequently desired or required Grobeinstel development of the workpiece to the tool, eg. B. when processing oversized workpieces that are either attached to the usual mounting surface and protrude beyond their length or are clamped using larger, optionally usable clamping plates. In the set-up position, the clamping table must be clamped to the machine stand so that the desired rigidity of the clamping table and the machine stand is ensured during machining.
The workpiece mounting surface is parallel to the horizontal guides of the machine stand and facing away from them in a plane that is inclined relative to the horizontal. This arrangement creates the possibility of a rough adjustment of the workpiece along the inclined receiving surface, which can be carried out without special means, where the height of the workpiece can be adjusted very easily and the passage height of the machine can be changed.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing.
1 and 2 show a milling machine in view and top view, FIG. 3 shows another possible arrangement of the workpiece receiving surface on the machine.
The machine shown in Fig. 1 and 2 has a massive stand 10 which is anchored part with its foot on the ground. In the stand 10 is an inclined with respect to the plane of its horizontal guides receiving surface for the work pieces - hereinafter called mounting plate 10a incorporated. The usual grooves of the clamping plate 10a are used to clamp a 'workpiece or a clamping device, here a prismenarti gene carrier 24 which is fastened by means of groove screws 24a. The carrier 24, in turn, has a plurality of grooves on both the horizontal surface 24b and on the vertical surface 24c for clamping the workpiece 11 (dash-dotted lines indicate).
The workpiece carrier 24 can then be roughly adjusted and clamped in the tilting direction on the clamping plate 10a, as a result of which the height of the workpiece relative to the work tool can be adjusted very easily.
On a vertical surface of the machine stand 10 there is provided a dovetail-shaped guide 10b which extends in the horizontal direction and in which a support 12 equipped with a corresponding guide groove 12b can be displaced. Below the guide 10b, a vertical support surface 10c is also formed on the stand 10, with which a counter surface 12e of the support 12 interacts. In a T-shaped, vertical guide groove 12a of the support 12, a gear box equipped with a corresponding guide 14a is most 14 slidably guided. In and on the box 14, only partially shown, drive, control and switching means of a known type are accommodated.
On top of the gear box 14, a spindle block 16 is slidably guided in a horizontal, to the guide 10b, 12b standing at right angles, dovetailed guide 14b. In the spindle block 16 stores the tool, for. B. a milling cutter 18, bearing spindle 20. The same is driven by tel well-known type, the box in the gear box 14 and 16 are housed in the spindle bracket. The spindle 20 is arranged in the spindle bracket 16 that it can be moved out of the same together with its bearing sleeve 20a, specifically in a direction that runs parallel to the displacement direction of the spindle bracket 16.
The adjustment movements of the displaceable Ma machine parts can be controlled by machine in a known manner. In addition, manual adjustment means are also provided, namely a handwheel 10d for longitudinally moving the support 12 on the machine stand 10, a handwheel 12d for moving the height of the gear box 14 relative to the support 12, a handwheel 14d for moving the spindle block 16 relative to the gear box 14 and a hand wheel 16d for moving the tool spindle 20 relative to the spindle bracket 16.
You do not need to train the mounting surface for the workpiece directly on the machine stand. The workpiece mounting surface 22a can, as shown in Fig. 3, for the purpose of coarse adjustment of the workpiece also be assigned to a special clamping plate 22 which is stationary during processing and which can be moved in a dovetail-shaped guide 10e on the machine frame 10 parallel to the guide 10b, 12b. In the respective most favorable position for machining the workpiece, the plate 22 is clamped by means of known, not shown clamping devices with the machine stand 10. Hand levers 10f, for example, are provided for actuating the clamping devices.
The other machine parts (12 to 20) are in the type of FIG. 3 in the same way as in the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2 is arranged.
In the context of the invention, even more direct machine tool designs can be formed; you can z. B. place a drilling or grinding head on the headstock in a known manner and drive it from the machine transmission so that drilling or grinding work can also be carried out on such a machine tool. The arrangement described can also be used in the case of copy-milling or engraving machines.
