Fig. 1 stellt ein Schemabild des Gebläses dar.

Cooling air fan The invention relates to a cooling air fan of axial design without a stator on an air-cooled internal combustion engine with an in-line arrangement of the cylinder, in which the fan is attached to the cylinder row protruding beyond the front side in the longitudinal direction and promotes cooling air into a cooling air shaft attached to the cylinder row of cylinders from which the cooling air flows through spaces between the cylinders and cylinder heads and through cooling air channels in the cylinder heads transversely to their exit direction from the fan.
Axial fans without a stator have the advantage of lower noise, since there is no gap between the impeller and stator, where a substantial part of the noise occurs. On the other hand, since the absolute speed at the impeller outlet does not run in the axial direction, there is an exit loss that manifests itself in a reduction in efficiency compared to fans with a stator. The object of the invention is to keep this efficiency reduction so small that it is hardly of any consequence with the usual blower sizes, but at least takes a back seat to the low noise and simplicity of the fanless fan.
It goes without saying that the other aspects of the fan design, i.e. H. correct adaptation to the throttle line of the cooling air paths and sufficient distance between the operating points and the surge limit must be observed.
The object explained above is achieved according to the invention in that the inclination of the fan blades is selected so that the circumferential component of the absolute speed of the air at the impeller outlet is approximately the same over the entire radial blade extension. It is practical if the circumferential component of the absolute speed at the impeller outlet occurs approximately 0.3 to 0.45 times the circumferential speed of the blade tips.
In a preferred embodiment of the cooling air blower according to the invention, in which the storage is carried by support arms which are in the flow path of the cooling air in front of the impeller and extend in planes that are laid by the fan axis, a noise is generated by the passing of the Impeller blades on the support arms are prevented by the fact that the distance between the trailing edge of the support arms and the leading edge of the impeller blades is at least 0.17 times the outside diameter of the impeller.
The aforementioned position of the support arms results in a statorless fan a simple, space-saving design that best takes into account the location of the drive and the attachment of the fan itself to the internal combustion engine.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically, for example.
1 shows a schematic diagram of the blower. FIG. 2 shows the speed triangles for the area of the blade tips and the area near the hub.
Fig. 3 and 4 show the arrangement of the cooling air blower on an internal combustion engine in series.
The fan consists of the outer housing 1 with the inlet nozzle 2. The bearing 4, which carries the impeller 5, is held in the housing 1 by preferably three support arms 3. The drive is brought about by the V-belt pulley 6. The support arms 3 lie in the flow path of the cooling air entering in the direction of the arrow drawn in front of the impeller 5 and extend in planes which are laid through the fan axis 7. The support arms 3 have a flow-favorable profile.
The ratio of the hub diameter to the impeller diameter
EMI0002.0006
is about 0.55 to 0.75 depending on the delivery rate. The flow rate is in a range from about 500 to 3000 m3 / h at pressures in the Ge area of 100 mm water column and drive powers up to about 2 HP at maximum speeds in the range from 6000 to 10000 rpm.
The impeller is filled with blades 8, which are inclined so that the circumferential component c "" of the absolute speed c. at the impeller outlet is at least approximately the same size over the entire radial blade extension, d. H. c, "Q is approximately equal to c." "i (see Fig. 2).
Otherwise, in FIG. 2 cl and c, the absolute speeds, mean w1 and w. the relative speeds at the inlet and outlet of the impeller. c, "is the relevant meridian velocity for the flow rate. The index a means outside and therefore the area near the blade pointed. The index i means inside, i.e. the area near the hub.
The blade pitch t follows the usual design rules according to which
EMI0002.0029
and where c "G 0.8 can be assumed. In this formula, c" is the lift coefficient of the blade profile used, 1 is the same as the blade length and t is the same as the blade pitch, as indicated in FIG. The distance a from the trailing edge 9 of the support arms 3 to the leading edge 10 of the impeller blades 8 is at least 0.17 times the outer diameter of the impeller D. The arrow drawn in the area of the impeller indicates the direction of rotation of the impeller.
In FIGS. 3 and 4, the cylinder heads are denoted by 11, the cylinders by 12. The cooling air duct 14 connects to the fan and guides the air to the spaces 15 and the cooling air ducts 16 approximately in the direction of the screw line 17 shown. The other designations are the same as in FIG. 1.
