Gleichwirkende Teile tragen in allen Figuren gleiche Bezugszeichen.
Drive device, with pivotable and height-adjustable propeller, on watercraft The present invention relates to a drive device, with pivotable and height-adjustable propeller, on watercraft, which, including the drive machine, is installed stationary in the ship's hull and whose gondola with propeller and gondola shaft through an opening the bottom of the ship through approximately vertically down into the water.
Such drive devices are already known, but they have a number of imperfections and defects which often stand in the way of their practical use; z. B. There is a need for them to control the gondola with propeller before raising it in a certain pivot position and with certain proposals before even the propeller itself must be shut down and brought into a certain rotational position, because the box, which the water-side drive parts in should take up the pulled-up state, is unsuitably shaped.
The manipulations mentioned before raising the water-side parts (gondola with propeller) have a very detrimental effect if z. B. in river traffic or when driving in shallow waters, sudden shallows occur, because there is little time available, and an operating error committed in a hurry can cause major damage to the drive device and the vehicle.
The aim of the invention is to improve the drive device in question to such an extent that it satisfies modern requirements when assessed from all points of view and in particular is also suitable for being used as a main drive with a higher drive power and further aims to design the drive device so that the above-mentioned operating difficulties, which are detrimental to the safety of the vehicle, are completely eliminated, and she strives to design the propulsion device in such a way that the propellers at any speed are mutually independent,
the swivel drive can be operated or adjusted in any direction and with unlimited swivel angle and the height adjustment of the nacelle with propeller at any time in the entire adjustment range.
The subject of the invention is a propulsion device, which is characterized in that a box designed as a body of rotation with a vertical hollow axis is provided in the ship's hull, this axis being external coaxial to the pivot axis of the Godel shaft and that the shape and diameter of the box is selected so that it allows any and unlimited rotation of the running propeller even with the propeller raised in the highest position.
To explain the invention, the exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention shown in the drawing are used. 1 shows a vertical section of a complete drive device with a pivotable and height-adjustable propeller; 2 shows details of FIG. 1 on a larger scale; Fig. 3 shows another example of the subject invention in view; Fig. 4 also another example of the inven tion subject matter in view and partially cut ge. Parts with the same effect have the same reference symbols in all figures.
According to the embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2, the invention provides a bell-shaped as a rotational body formed as a body of rotation with a vertical axis, the lower edge with a considerable rounding la into the ship's floor and its upper opening through a circular opening in the bottom of the ship Horizon tal ring flange lb equidistant to the axis is reinforced and the diameter is chosen so that the water-side parts of the drive device, namely the nacelle shaft 2 with the nacelle 3 and propeller 4, can be inserted through the same in a complete state from above or removed upwards .
The lower housing part 5 with a dome-shaped flange cover 5a is flanged onto the annular flange 1b and forms the watertight closure of the upper opening of the box 1.
The lower housing part 5 also has a flange 5b at the top, on which an upper housing part 6 with flange 6a is attached. Accordingly, the Ka most 1, the lower housing part 5 and the upper housing part 6 together form a rigid unit. The lower housing part 5 and the upper housing part 6 have guide bores 7 with a circular cross section which are aligned with one another and with the hollow axis of the box 1.
Two individual guide bearings are provided on the nacelle shaft 2 at an axial distance of at least 60% of the propeller diameter, the main component of which is a guide bushing 8, which can be moved and rotated in the guide bore 7 with a close fit and is axially fixed on the nacelle shaft 2, but is particularly easily rotatably mounted via roller bodies 9 (FIG. 2).
The guide bushes 8 in conjunction with the Füh approximate holes 7 result in the gondola 3 with propeller 4, the desired height adjustability and the rolling bearings of the guide bushes 8 on the gondola shaft 2, the desired smooth pivoting availability about the vertical axis. The rotational shape of the box 1 and the flange cover 5a is chosen so that it forms an envelope of the propeller circle at the highest propeller position at every pivot position with sufficient distance.
The latter circumstance and the axis of the guide bores 7 aligned with the rotational shape initially result in the desired independence between height adjustment, pivot position and operation of the propeller, so that, for example, according to the task, in the event of danger, the water-side drive parts can be raised without any other precautions and in the shortest possible time can walk and does not require any special precautionary measures. This completely rules out damage caused by incorrect operation.
The necessity of the height adjustment regardless of the running propeller means that the shaft guide must be designed in such a way that it can transmit the full propeller thrust at any altitude and at the same time it enables pivoting. This requirement is initially taken into account that the two guide bushes 8 are axially fixed on the gondola shaft 2 and therefore the static conditions remain unchanged at every altitude.
However, the device achieves a further improvement in the same direction in that the housing lower part 5 is provided with a guide tube 10 protruding into the box 1, which can be integrally flanged with it or rigidly flanged to it and which extends downwards that it approaches the gondola 3 at its lowest adjustment position up to a distance corresponding approximately to the height adjustment range.
The bore of the guide tube 10 forms part of the length of the entire guide bore 7, and the axial position of the lower guide bushing 8 of the nacelle shaft 2 is selected so that it is located in the area of the lower mouth of the guide tube 10 in the lowest nacelle position.
The gondola shaft 2 with storage in connection with the protruding into the box 1 guide tube 10 corresponds statically to a two-armed lever whose pivot point is formed by the lower guide bearing or the guide bushing 8 with location tion, and the proposed minimum distance was between the two Guide bushes 8 ent corresponds to a lever arm, and the proposed distance between the lower guide bushing 8 from the nacelle 3 results in connection with half the nacelle diameter the distance between this guide bushing from the propeller shaft transmitting the propeller thrust and thus the other lever arm of the two-armed lever.
It can easily be seen from the above that the lever lengths remain unchanged with every height adjustment of the nacelle 3 and thus, as already mentioned, the static conditions of the entire nacelle guidance are equally good and always suitable for absorbing the full propeller thrust with every height adjustment.
On the other hand, a comparative consideration of the known proposals for drive devices of the type in question shows that in these, as a rule, at least one of the guide bearings is arranged in a fixed location. As a result, the lever ratios usually change in such a way that the upper lever shortens when the nacelle is raised and the nacelle guidance would no longer be able to transmit propeller thrust.
One of the features of the proposed arrangement is that when the gondola 3 is raised, the guide tube 10 slides between the propeller 4 and the gondola shaft 2, and this shows further advantages of the selected shaft mounting, as the latter through the space-saving and telescopic tubes or the like. avoiding training a very small diameter of the guide hole 7 and thus of the guide tube 10 and despite compliance with a necessary minimum distance between propeller 4 and guide tube 10 for the Ge design of the box 1 advantageous small distance of the propeller 4 from the pivot axis.
Another property of the new shaft mounting is the fact that the part 2a of the gondola shaft 2 located between the lower guide bearing (guide bushing 8) and the gondola 3 is not involved in the guidance, hence no sliding surfaces whatsoever and to prevent contact with the guide bore 7 even has a slightly smaller outer diameter than the remaining part of the gondola shaft 2 and in some cases even has a streamlined cross-section.
In particular use of the reduced outer diameter, the composition of the entire gondola shaft 2, shown particularly clearly in FIG. 2, consists of a shaft part 2a made in one piece with the gondola 3 and an upper shaft part 2 rigidly flanged to it by means of screws 11, and the aforementioned reduction in the Outside diameter of the shaft part 2a results in the flange (see Fig. 2) the not agile radial edge for receiving the screw heads.
In the end, this training also achieves the further significant advantage that when the gondola is not adjusted in height, the propeller or propeller current encounters unprotected guide surfaces of the shaft and thus damage to the same by foreign bodies floating with it or the like is completely excluded. This protection of the guide surfaces from surface roughening, etc. is z. B. very be particularly important when these conditions are driven at the same time by Dichtun, etc.
The construction provides a substantial rounding la of the box 1 at the transition into the floor planking (not shown) of the ship. This is particularly important when the propeller has to work with a more or less high position and the propeller flow flows through the cavity of the box 1. The rounding 1a should allow the smoothest possible flow.
It is already known to accomplish both the swivel drive and the propeller drive from an upper gear head via telescopically extendable support means. In this sense, the drive device also sits at the upper end of the guide tube 10 with a transmission housing 12 that closes it, in which a drive shaft 13 with gear 14 protruding into the guide tube 10 and a coupling sleeve 15 with gear that is in the same alignment around the drive shaft 13 16 is rotatably mounted in a stationary manner.
The upper end of the gondola shaft 2 has an inner groove 17 into which the coupling sleeve 15 engages with its outer groove 17a in a form-fitting and axially displaceable manner. Likewise, the wedge wave profile 18 of the drive shaft 13 engages positively and axially displaceably in the inner groove 18a of a further coupling sleeve 19, which in turn is positively coupled to the shaft shaft 20 of the nacelle 3 via the same inner groove 18a and axially secured by a bolt 21.
As a result of this design, the gondola 3 can be driven by the gear 14 from the propeller 4 and from the gear 16 from the gondola shaft 2 at any height position. Without violating the principle, the coupling sleeve 19 could also be firmly connected to the drive shaft 13 and the shaft shaft 20 could be axially slidable in it ver.
Because of the above-mentioned need to keep the diameter of the guide hole 7 as small as possible, a new approach is taken compared to the known in the training of the telescopic drive described above, as here the two telescopic connections are not radially ineinan, but with axial Are arranged spaced.
The aforementioned versions of the telescopic drive have the design feature that the parts of the two telescopic couplings that are in positive engagement are always axially next to one another.
The careful guidance of the gondola shaft 2 using the specified distance between the two guide bushes 8 inevitably means that the gear housing 12 comes to lie quite high within the ship's hull and this creates difficulties in easily connecting the drive device to a stationary on the ship to couple the ground-mounted drive unit. The device takes this fact into account without impairing the good guidance of the nacelle shaft 2 in that it allows the gear wheel 14 in the gear housing 12 to engage with a gear wheel 22 and this gear wheel 22 is connected to a shaft 23 which is in the housings 6 or
12 is rotatably mounted and at its end protruding into the lower housing part 5 carries a bevel gear 24 connected to it in a rotationally fixed manner, which in turn engages in a further bevel gear 25 which is attached to a connection shaft 26 mounted horizontally in the lower housing part 5 or with an outside of the Housing lower part 5 lying coupling flange 27 is rotatably connected. The latter, however, is so low that a direct drive connection to the low-lying drive machine, not shown, is possible from it at least with the engagement of a joint shaft.
The feature he just proposed gear means for transmitting the engine power is that they create a drive connection between the horizontal shaft of the motor or the like. And the higher end of the vertical drive shaft 13, which is fixed in place in the gear housing 12.
The necessary pivoting of the propeller 4 with nacelle 3 around the vertical axis for the purpose of steering the vehicle is done by a suitable rotation of the worm 28, which is mounted in the upper gear housing 12 and engages in a worm wheel 29, which is also in the housing 12 superimposed shaft 30 is rotatably connected to a gear 31 engaging in the gear 16. The worm drive is designed so that it is at least self-locking at standstill. The worm 28 can be driven either from the steering wheel or by an auxiliary machine, and the self-locking prevents self-adjustment as long as there is no steering drive.
In a further embodiment of the device, a height adjustment of the gondola 3 with propeller 4 by means of pressure oil is provided by inserting an intermediate wall 33, which encompasses the cylindrical gondola shaft 2 and equipped with a seal 32, in the region of the housing flanges 6a, 5b in the guide bore 7 and the gondola shaft 2 is equipped on both sides of each guide sleeve 8 with a seal 34 inserted into a groove (see also FIG. 2).
Thanks to this design, a cylinder space with an annular cross-section is formed above and below the partition 33, and all that is required is the alternating introduction of pressurized oil in the connection bore and line 35a or 35b, which is above and below the partition 33, around the pod shaft 2 lift up with gondola 3 and hold it in suspension at any height within the adjustment range or inevitably move it downwards.
With this hydraulic height adjustment, all cavities of the guide bore 7 and the parts guided in it are completely filled with oil . The aforementioned seal 34, which is formed, for example, by a so-called O-ring, prevents the leakage and loss of the same in the areas where the gondola shaft 2a is flanged on the gondola shaft 2 (see FIG. 2). However, when the vehicle is out of operation and the propeller is up, the water partially wetting the wall of the guide tube 10 could set certain deposits there and thereby damage the seal 34 when the propeller 3 is later lowered.
To prevent this, an annular groove is screwed in underneath the lower seal 34 of the gondola shaft 2 (see FIG. 2) and a radially resilient scraper ring 36 is inserted into this, the sharp outer edge of which causes the above-mentioned deposits to move downward from the wall of the guide bore 7 strips off.
Due to the fact that the drive device is arranged below the ship deck, an oil pump 37 can be driven by the propeller drive, for example according to FIG. 1, from the vertical shaft 23 and the pressure oil supplied by it can be driven pneumatically or electrically from the Füh rerstand from remotely operated switching device 38 to be performed, from where it immediately flows back to the oil tank 39 in the rest position or is fed to the respective line 35a or 35b for height adjustment.
Furthermore, at least the line 35b can be brought up to the vicinity of the gearbox housing 112. This ensures that in the space of the guide bore 7 located under the partition 33, such a large static pressure is constantly maintained that oil can penetrate to the outside rather than water to the inside on the lower sealing ring 34 of the gondola shaft 2.
It should also be noted that in the exemplary embodiment shown, the guide bushes 8 on the gondola shaft 2 long rollers 9 are provided for roller bearings. The proposed Führele elements are suitable for transferring relatively large propeller thrusts properly and with little wear to the housing of the drive device and thus to the vehicle. In the case of lighter drives, the two guide bushes 8 can, however, also be omitted entirely and instead the rolling elements, in the case of Fig. 1, the long rollers 9 or z.
B. also balls directly fill the annular space between the gondola shaft 2 and the wall of the guide bore 7 and accordingly the rolling elements support or roll themselves both when pivoting and when shifting in height on the latter.
The height adjustment is limited to the desired adjustment range in that the collar 2b of the gondola shaft 2 rests against the partition 33 in the uppermost position and the collar 2c in the lowest position. In order to avoid a hard stop of the collars 2b and 2c, which is unfavorable for the gear parts, the two connection bores 35a, 35b each have a certain axial distance from the intermediate wall 33, so that when driving over the same the oil cushion which then forms between these and the intermediate wall 33 the Adjustment speed sufficiently reduced.
It has already been mentioned that the cavities in the guide bore 7 are filled with oil, and it goes without saying that, for example, the cavity above the upper guide bearing of the nacelle shaft 2 is an alternative for the ver when the nacelle 3 is raised with the propeller 4 has forced oil and for this purpose is hydraulically connected to the interior of the gear housing 12 or to the oil tank 39 via bores, not shown, for example.
In addition, the complete encapsulation of the bevel gear corresponds to 25/24, the upper gears 22/14, 31/16, 29/28, the perpendicular right shaft 23 and the telescopic connections and the angle drive in the gondola 3 in connection with the possible oil bath Principles of modern high-performance gear construction, and the desired usability of the drive device as a powerful main drive is secured.
In cases where the propeller should achieve the greatest possible efficiency, it is also possible to set up some parts of the propulsion device in such a way that, for example, when the propeller is in the lowest position, the box serving to accommodate the water-side parts of the propulsion device at a higher propeller position is covered flush with the bottom of the ship.
In this sense, a box 40 with a cylindrical rotational shape is provided in the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the diameter of which is again selected so that it can accommodate the water-side components and allows vertical installation and removal of the complete drive device, which in turn is closed watertight at the top by the flange cover 5a, which is flat in this case, and in addition a cover 41 which is movable outside coaxially to the pivot axis via several struts 42 with the gondola 3 rigidly and in the annular space between the guide tube 10 and the box 40 with all-round diameter play such a distance is connected
that at the lowest gondola position it forms the desired bündi gene closure 'of the box 40 and when it is raised it moves together with the gondola 3 upwards into the box 40. The remaining parts of the system correspond completely to the example of FIG. 1 and no further explanation is necessary.
Fig. 4 shows on the basis of a third example, a further embodiment of the device, which, in addition to an even more favorable control of the lid 41, also relates to a different embodiment of the hy draulic height adjustment of the water-side parts of the drive device. Here, too, the box 40 has a cylindrical rotational shape, the axis of which is coaxial with the outside of the pivot axis and which is covered watertight at the top by a lower housing part 5 with a flange cover 5a. The actual Ge gear parts also agree with those of the examples shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 and therefore have the same reference numerals. What is new, however, are both sides of the upper gear box 43 and in relation to the vertical main or
Pivot axis diametrically located vertical cylinders 44, in which piston 45 with Kilbendichtung 46 and piston rod 47 are guided vertically movable and by alternately acting on the piston 45 with pressure oil introduced through the lines 48a, 48b inevitably moves up and down and also in every intermediate position can be held. The guide bore 7 of the lower housing part 5 and the upper housing part 6 have lateral bulges 49. The piston rods 47 sealed by seals 50 and protruding downward penetrate the bulges 49 with wall clearance on all sides and also the flange cover 5a and are at their lower end with the height-adjustable Cover 41 rigidly screwed.
Also in the holes provided for the piston rods 47 in the cover 5a are you lines 51 installed, which are covered by the flange of the guide tube 10 and serve to seal the piston rod passage in the box 40 from. Furthermore, a transverse yoke is rotatably but axially immovable on the nacelle shaft 2 and below the upper guide bush 8 via rolling elements, for example balls 53, and its arms 52 on both sides engage positively in the two piston rods 47.
The mode of operation is then as follows: When the piston 45 is adjusted in height by means of pressurized oil, both the gondola shaft 2, 2a with gondola 3 and the cover 41 are moved up or down together via the piston rods 47 and yoke 52 and, in some cases, an advantageous release the gondola shaft guidance of hydraulic tasks, the described control of the cover 41 has the particular advantage that no struts are required between the same and the gondola 3 and thus the prerequisites for achieving a high propeller thrust are created to the highest degree.
It is also worth mentioning that in the exemplary embodiments shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, all of the advantageous properties already counted and proven in the description of the example in FIG. 1 are fully present and that it is easily possible to use certain individual parts of the new drive device to adapt to special requests.
On the outside, the new drive system forms a completely closed unit in which all sensitive gear parts etc. are protected inside and well lubricated by an oil bath. The possibility of damage from the water side is very low. The installation and removal of the same can be carried out as a complete unit - and is essentially limited to screwing together or loosening the flange fastening 1b, 5a and the cardan shaft (not shown) at the connection flange 27.
Since ships for shallow waters have little draft anyway, it will in most cases even be possible to install and remove the drive device when the vehicle is floating, if it is ensured that the flange ring 1b is above the waterline of the ent loaded vehicle. Despite the good encapsulation, most of the transmission parts are easily accessible to a control without removing the drive device and can be replaced if necessary.
