Expansion dowel The present invention relates to an expansion dowel, in particular for fastening objects to ceilings or walls enclosing cavities.
In known devices of this type, a locking bar was used, which consists of two at their ends facing each other with the dowel pin ge articulated legs that spread apart under the influence of a spring from the inoperative to the locking position. Such arrangements require a number of additional complex ter parts.
Another device consists in that a dowel slotted in the longitudinal direction at various points on its outer jacket is provided with so-called claws made of sheet metal. These claws are difficult to spread and must be fitted with pliers. They also have the disadvantage that they are not corrosion-resistant and unsuitable for wood screws.
It is also known to slit a dowel which is lobe-shaped in its overall shape so that the holding members compress when inserted into the dowel hole and then apply to the dowel hole walls as a result of inherent springiness and clamp men when inserting a fastening screw. However, this device is not suitable for a cavity wall.
The expansion anchor according to the invention is characterized in that the rear end of the anchor, consisting of a flange for the introduction of a fastening screw, with the front, a threaded flange forming a screw serving for screwing in the fastening screw, by expanding when the screw is tightened, on the hollow wall to press certain webs is connected. Below are based on the drawing from exemplary embodiments of the subject invention be written.
1 shows a longitudinal section of a dowel with two webs with the screw partially screwed in, FIG. 2 shows a plan view along line II-11 in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a view of a dowel with 4 webs before insertion into the dowel hole and 4 shows a plan view of the anchor in the direction of arrow C in FIG.
On the wall 1, for example, a plate 2 is attached (Fig. 1). 5 with the rear dowel end consisting of a flange is designated, and with 6, the front dowel end in the form of a threaded flange cal with the turn 6a. The two ends 5 and 6 are connected to one another by webs 4. Instead of two webs 4 according to FIGS. 1 and 2, several, z. B. four webs 11 accordingly to FIGS. 3 and 4 occur.
In the dowel end 5 a dowel hole 5a is provided for the introduction of the fastening screw 8, which is screwed with its lower end into the turn 6a of the dowel end 6.
The cross-sections of the webs 4 are tapered towards the rear dowel end 5, while they are reinforced towards the front dowel end 6 at 3 (FIG. 1). Before the dowel is introduced into the drill hole 1b, the webs 4 and 11 have a kink in the plane B-B.
If the dowel is inserted into the borehole 1b, the webs 4 or 11 made of plastic in the borehole 1b are compressed to its diameter in the direction of the arrow BB , whereupon they are in the under the hollow wall la Spread the available space again in the direction of the arrow AA. However, the webs 4 located in the immediate vicinity of the rear dowel end 5 already assume a more compressed position at 3a. In comparison to the original position of the webs 11, this is indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 1.
To the extent that the screw 8 is screwed into the turn 6a, who pulls the webs 4 and 11 up in the direction of the rear dowel end 5 until they more or less press against the wall la. As a result of the webs 4 tapering in cross section towards the rear dowel end 5, the dowel is prevented from turning in the borehole 1b, so that the dowel is already effective when the screw 8 is first tightened. This effect is supported by the kinking of the webs.
Another securing of the dowel against rotation of the screw when tightening is that on the webs 4 in the vicinity of the rear dowel end 5 locking devices 4a and 11a are attached, which have the shape of tabs or tongues and their free ends to the rear dowel end 5 show.
