Pressure cooker lid with centrally located safety valve The previously known pressure cooker lid with centrally located safety valve have egg ne top that is either flat or curved upward ge. There are also cover designs known in which the top side of the cover is partly flat and partly curved upwards.
On the other hand, it is known that when a pressure cooker is used, condensation water forms in the safety valve and drips from it onto the top of the lid.
With lids of the type mentioned above, this condensation water gradually flows over the surface of the lid and then drips onto the stove, to the annoyance of the housewife.
The invention is to create a steam cooker pot lid of the type mentioned above who is relieved of these disadvantages in that the central part of the lid on which the safety valve is attached has a trough-shaped recess in which the condensation water dripping from the safety valve can collect.
In the accompanying drawing, a vertical section through the pressure cooker kettle according to the invention is shown as an example.
The drawn pressure cooker lid a is provided as usual with a centrally located safety or pressure relief valve b, which has the purpose of preventing the generation of excess pressure during operation of the pot hermetically sealed with this lid ver. Such valves are known per se, so that there is no need to describe the valve b seen here before in its details. It should only be remembered that the movable closing part of such a valve is lifted from its seat under the effect of the overpressure prevailing in the saucepan, against the influence of a spring force, in order to allow the excess steam to be drawn off.
This extraction of steam takes place through outlet holes g-2, which are provided in a sleeve-shaped part b1 of the valve attachment body b with which the valve is mounted on the cover a. On the sleeve-shaped part b1 of the valve casing c is arranged, the lower edge part of which is formed from a funnel shape, whereby a cross-sectionally acute-angled edge lip cl results.
The part of the valve attachment body b, to which the sleeve part b1 adjoins, runs conically, with a correspondingly shaped, from the height of the steam outlet holes g-2 from the height of the steam outlet holes g-2 from obliquely downwards, between its conical outer surface and the conical inner surface of the edge lip ten directed annulus d is present.
As can be seen from the drawing, the outlet holes g-2 are shielded from the outside thanks to the special design of the safety valve described above, so that the steam emerging from the holes g-2 cannot flow radially outwards, but towards is deflected down against the bottom of a trough-shaped depression a1 formed in the middle part of the lid a.
The bottom edge of the edge lip cl extends at least as far as the plane passing through the top edge of the trough-shaped depression a1, so that the outlet holes g-2 are shielded up to their lower edge. In the trough-shaped depression a1, the condensation water can accumulate, which drips out of the holes b 'during operation of the saucepan.
